OK, I'm hooked on Walmart pickup! I placed another order, and everything I wanted was in stock except for a curtain rod that the cats broke and Great Value pizza sauce, but on the latter they asked if they could substitute Ragu, and that was fine with me.
The young man who brought my bags out was very friendly and pleasant; he said that many people were buying large amounts of stuff, probably prepping.
I wanted a few sale items from Publix, but they were out of most of them. (I decided to do my shopping today rather than tomorrow, figuring with the holiday weekend the stores would be crowded tomorrow and stock would be depleted.) No cherries, but Aldi had them, and for $2 less per pound than the Publix sale price. No 2% milk at Aldi, and a half gallon of milk is now almost $3. I only needed 3 things at Aldi, so I didn't look around much.
So much of the produce I've been buying has been bad, so I'm now keeping my receipts to get a refund. I've given up on melons this year - they're awful.
Best deal of the day: A free cheeseburger from the Sonic app with a half price drink.
