Worth a watch even though Nate hyperventilates a lot. I watched him earlier and he did spot some things that I did not like the paintings hanging in the house changing throughout the movie to reflect what was going on in the plot. I disagree with some of his speculation but his observations will add to our conversation.

I did listen to Nate's video. I did not notice the slavery/racism slant. I did notice the paintings changing. I did think it was odd that the basement of this MANSION was so dark and only one room. Obviously symbolic there. I think the slave ship symbology does line up.

And it's already starting. The comments are great. Someone said hey the movie is only three days old let everyone see it first.

Not only this but on Drudge there was an article about Warren Buffett dumping over 30B worth of stocks. Remember what the homeowner said about watching the elite and what they do. I think his buddy the elite guy did the exact same before the attack happened.

It was a click-bait title IMO. That was how much stock they've sold this year, not in the last week. Berkshire-Hathaway is in the top 10 of the S&P 500. It's not chump change, but not their entire portfolio either. This is the article.

Other than there not being a real ending it was a good movie.

Many movies serve alternative purposes other than purely entertainment.

Purposes such as creating fear, distrust, and division.

Other times entertainment is used to reveal planned attacks and false flags.

I would say to some extent the latter is likely to be the alternative purpose for this movie.

Why some have the need to reveal all, or part of a planned attack or false flag is hard to understand. That is unless they are narcissists who not only look upon those most likely effected by their actions as inferior but also feel they need to boast about their crimes.

Having not watched the movie but having viewed the trailer and read *spoiler* reviews, as well as taking in everyone's comments here, I think the cabal wants us shaking in our boots over their power; over the thoughts of our death.

I know many people are very much afraid of death, but there are some that look at death as a release from Satan's playground and perverted test-center; who just want to be with their Lord. The cabal is VERY MUCH AFRAID of death. They are terrified, which is why they are doing everything possible to 'live forever.' It sounds like Obama's movie was more to bolster the cabal's wish-list and egos than it was to scare the public. Most of you were just watching the movie; not looking for all the little idiosyncrasies of their 'codes' planted throughout the movie. Since the cabal views us as unthinking cattle, they had to know the public in general wouldn't see, much less equate, these idiosyncrasies sprinkled throughout the movie, and think 'deeply' on them. After all, they're so far 'above' us .
No,... I think this movie was put out more for them than for us.

Yes, Julia Roberts looked unhappy and exhausted in the trailer I watched. Since we know how Julia and other 'stars' make it to the A-list, I'm guessing she was MADE to do this movie - it was probably part of her satanic contract. ("You can check out any time you want [i.e. kill yourself] but you can never leave"). I'm thinking she was either purposely made to look like that or she really does. Just from viewing the trailer, it didn't look like she even wanted to be in that movie.

Great Thread @Cowgirl4christ !! Way to 'red pill' the membership!

Watch the interview on Honda and Jenna today show…she asked to do the part and she says why. A lot of it has to do how she was viewed after doing pretty woman.

I would describe the movie as suspenseful from the beginning, all the way to the tremendously abrupt ending when the credits began rolling.
The continuous build-up of suspense is the only thing that kept me watching.
With each build of suspense, when you're wondering what's about to happen.... nothing happens. Then they change their sights to a new line of suspense with an equally disappointing respite.

Many questions are raised, none with answers.
What's with the deer? What's with the flamingos? What kind of bug bit him? Is that what caused his reaction, or was it the 'sound'?, What was that sound anyway? Does the rest of the family locate and join the girl?

I felt it really dragged on and on, and could have easily been a much shorter movie.
Take out the dozen or so 'F'bombs and it could be a family movie.
Nothing of substance, or should I say, there was nothing to learn and put to practical use.

The story line should read "On day one of a cyber attack that leads to the worlds end, a 13 year old girl goes on a quest to watch the last episode of "Friends"."
Perfect review, SOZO. I completely agree, except there were WAY more f-bombs all the way through.

Just got done with it and it helped to watch Canadian Prepper spoiler video first.

Echoing what BE said, the Cabal are deeply terrified of the risen people as the herd of bucks represented while surrounding the two women outside the shed. The guilt they bear for a multitude of sins means they fear death and judgement and have been frantic to prolong their lives, even merge it with machines to escape final reckoning.

There is no way anyone within sight distance of the Manhattan skyline would be out of a danger zone. To remain there would ultimately be a death sentence even with a stocked bunker. Nor do I think lights would be on or running water unless this house was fully solar & jenny ready

The real clues were the space shots, the inbound red dust swirl and the lunar eclipse. Tho it featured black leads this movie did not feel like it was directed toward the black community to prepare. But rather toward white America and “forgive me, you were right”.

Their karma instructs them if they warn then no blood on their hands.
But the main takeaway is this is so monumental that nobody can prep enough. The Friends theme song is the tell, afterwards IF you survive, your immediate circle is your family.

More hopeful than The Road which was a mindnumbingly hopeless end
But the Obamas wanted us to know about sonic weapons, enemy drones dropping ‘stuff’, Havana Syndrome, rotted teeth from fallout and not taking the race war bait.

People see what they want to see in the movie.

As far as the Obama‘s being producers on the movie …. Remember Netflix signed them a contract deal for Xx number of movies. The book this was based on was on Obama reading list one summer (published list). From what I have read the Director stated that he talked to Obama once and he gave him some notes. My guess is Obama helped get the writer to option the rights and it fulfilled part of netflix contract where he gets more money than he deserved for it …. I am guessing they did not have much to do with it other than that. But someone may find more comments.

***Spoiler ***** and my opinion so it Does not need to be yours

in the end the movie is about people having stereotypes and judgements and how these modern conveniences separate us from personal interaction and leaving it all behind we find that we are not so different.

The family watched this movie tonight and although was ok as a fiction drama, it had ups and downs as far as being realistic. Below are some of the Pros and Cons I saw in the movie.

Cons:
  • Show "events" (deer, lost hubby, sound, tick bite?, etc) were disjointed and had very little continuity. Some scenes were highly improbable, and their part of the story never panned out or tied together as a plausible storyline or TEO type scenario.
  • No people around the housing area post-event. - Nine million New Yorker's would be flooding the outskirts even if they had to walk. The pool would quickly look like a Hong Kong beach or a John Candy beach movie.
  • Power and water stayed on when NY just a few miles away was dark but local TV and radio were completely out!
  • All three kids were typically over indulged, severely lacking discipline and had the common sense of a goat.
  • Why do movies and TV typically have Black Women act like un-disclipined, arrogant, self-opinionated jerks, who no one wants to have around and just tend to be part of the problem and never part of the solution. Most Black women I have known and worked with, have mostly been pretty normal. This almost seems to be a racial thing.
  • I noticed they was able to insert quite a few F--Ks & Mo--F--k-rs in the dialog. I tend to stay away from trash talkers.
  • The alcoholic, self appointed wife was able to find the town and constantly bicker, but the "white male heterosexual" husband was portrayed as someone couldn't find his ass with both hands in his back pockets
  • The deer scenes were complete nonsense and not germane to the movie.
  • The sound scenes were complete nonsense.
  • Were the woods cabin and space scenes suppose to mean anything?
  • What possible purpose would an aircraft dump propaganda leaflets over a minimally occupied urban area when New York city is 10 air miles away.
  • Ships may run aground eventually and planes may crash due to a EMP frying systems, but it will happen all at once and not over days.
  • Flamingos in the pool were funny but you will need to really clean the pool post-swim.
  • I think the show was paid by the minute as the film editor should have left half the movie on the cutting room floor.
  • It looked like a nuke over NY at first and I thought, where was the flash and what direction was the wind but it evolved into just a really big explosion. Why would you bomb NY with conventional weapons?
  • The Thorne's safe room / bunker was unlocked and the door not camouflaged as a cupboard or least with curtains.
  • Why did the house by the beach look like it went through a hurricane while George's house was un-touched.
  • Why didn't George and Ruth move immediately back to "their" rooms when the Bundy's left. Post-visitor #1 priority. Change the bed sheets!
  • I'm having trouble believing that KB would have not pulled the trigger when George pulled out his pistol. Why George pulled the pistol on a man with a shotgun pointing at him is ludicrous.
  • Does anyone really believe that "redneck" Kevin Bacon would not have "harvested" the Thorne's bunker and told them of its existence thus diluting his resources.
  • No mention of food or even replenishing the wine or liquor supply was mentioned.

Pros:
  • This show did not scare me, cause me to have addition anxiety or want to immediate add to my "resources".
  • This group of people acted the way I expect the average group of people to react to an unknown situation including Kevin Bacon's character i.e. Run in Circles! Shout and Scream!
  • People taking down critical utility systems in the future as a asymmetrical terrorist attack or as a pre-war strike is a high possibility / probability and maybe our most damaging threat in the future.
  • I was surprised the little girl knew how to ride a bicycle and would willingly leave the safety of the backyard and go out into the dangerous woods without suffering severe mental anxiety and requiring two to three years of therapy. Seriously, does anyone know of a city kid that goes anywhere by themselves?
  • Storing water was actually brought up.
  • Keven Bacon did a marvelous job of hiding all of his preps as his house and outside side looked like any typical suburban house. Definitely, not like my house that resembles Fred Sanford's place of business.
  • It seem to me that they were working themselves through the Five stages of Grief.
  • No one even thought about using the house wiring/ fiber optics to fashion a primitive telegraph and find out what was happening in the world via Morse code.
  • Self driving cars are not necessarily safe driving cars.
  • Don't run away from a crashing aircraft in the same direction it is falling!
  • Julie Roberts did a good job at portraying a entitled "Karen".
  • The movie ended suddenly and without dramatization.
  • No one at any time said that this apocalypse was created and masterminded by empowered White, Christian, conservative, anti-abortionist, Republicans led by the arch insurrectionist Donald Trump.
Although I watched the show as it was discussed here, I doubt if I was ever watch it again or use it as a reference. I thought the script was pretty much laughable and this script was probably written over lunch by LSD induced writers on the back of a dirty napkin as even Sci-fi channel's Sharknado movie series had better themes and storylines.

I watched about 3/4 of the movie last night with my peeps.

They were NOT impressed. A riot would have ensued if I insisted on sticking with it to the end.

I've always instilled that many/most films today have some level of political slant or a motive to condition the populace.

Nobody here was pickin up what it was puttin down.

I'll go back and watch the rest of the movie when nobody else is around.

I should say "force myself to watch the rest".

Most of the people that I've spoken with that watched it have come away with only one thing ... it was a snark piece making fun of your average citizen and how they are so stupid. How anyone that did prep was out to make money off of those that hadn't and aren't to be trusted.

They tried to make a snarky moral story and yet make themselves look good at the same time.

First of all... Julia Roberts as a Karen was so grating. I suppose she did a good job because I was so annoyed with her character I wanted to choke her. (No Karen tolerance).
We both kept waiting for it to be a great movie but to me it just wasnt. In my opinion it was an infomercial/propaganda piece to give us our warning that the S is about to HTF. Am I alone or was this movie a letdown? I waited for hubby to get home at midnight so we could watch it together. I could have been sleeping!:gaah:

I felt the original four spikes on the dining room “changing painting” as a seismograph of four enormous quakes. The 2nd being the worst. 9 or 10 richter scale. And wonder about the 12/22 sticker and the comment the homeowner made re his phone call with the elite investor: “ why aren’t you celebrating winter solstice with your cabal pals “

Timing is always critical in these pre placed predictive programming shows. I saw the deer stampeding *in broad daylight* as indicative of sensing earth tremors below and spooked. They serve as a human metaphor. Others are suggesting in youtube comments everyone else is gone, no stragglers or zombie horde walkins due to ‘the rapture’.

Cyber Hackable self driven cars weaponized to crash and block the escape routes of urban enclaves should be a wake up call for many libs. They needed this film far more than folks here with two decades of prep lifestyle under our belts. And that was why Hawke, Bacon and Roberts were cast, the message is intended for that generational demographic of suburbanite clueless whites to wake up already.

The learning curve will be steep and merciless. The child abandoning her family may be the only way some of these Gen Z youth survive.

I have read some sad youtube comments by teens who are wide awake trapped with moron parents, begging advice from Patara or Dave at Southern Prepper. I always make sure to respond to those kids. They are trapped minors, so get a duffle bag or tupperware tub and quietly fill it up with dollar tree canned goods, pasta, peanut butter and medical supplies in your backpack. Shovel snow or mow lawns, babysit or collect bottles n cans and start your own prep supply in basement or shelf in garage. They live in nice homes where parents are lost on sedatives or mom can’t let go of Korean Manicures and shoe shopping. Or with dysfunctionals abusing alcohol.

The girl ‘looking for helpers and aching for friends’ is for their post 9/11, post covid lost generation of the 4th Turning who will rebuild in the aftermath. My takeaway, if you find yourself abandoned or orphaned its ok to squat elsewhere till things calm down, all clear, fallout over.

Meh, it’s right up there with Hollywood using the 555 prefix for phone numbers, I wouldn’t make too much of that one.

I thought it interesting that the homeowners with the fantastic bunker didn't make it home to use it! Much too easy to find tho. Took the little girl all of 30 seconds.

I honestly missed all the symbolism.
I couldn't stand any of the actors, except the black dad and the prepper.
White mom and dad...pathetic. Kids also pathetic and entitled.
And why did the black dad and white mom spend an evening drinking/dancing while the white dad was hanging out with young black gal. Creepy scene.
Too many F bombs...so not necessary.

I was also surprised that these big name actors agreed to be in the movies, because it's a crappy B film with weird symbolism.

I was going to post about this last night but was too tired. Really spooky movie. They got everything into it and of course the racism. We have been setup, slowly over many years. Now it is speeding up and all out in the open. We are truly in the end times.
Yeah the open reverse racism was a wonder to see.

I also like how they tried to get the White folks to be racists, by their questioning of someone who just showed up and said they were the owners. I would do the same, but be a lot more forceful if I had an Air BnB

It was a fun exercise in “what are they doing wrong”. Leaving with no bugout supplies in their trunk. And so on. Of course the first rule of Fight Club is to not be living in Park Slope in Brooklyn in the first place. Message for somebuddy

But long time lurkers here already know that and would never blame other preppers for refusal to share. It is a plausible theory on airbnb users at the moment the EMP goes off or Chinese commandos take down substations. Where you are is where you stay for the duration of the voyage, so travel smart. Always have that extra bag of dog food for the pups stowed in the trunk. A roll or two of toilet paper. Boots to walk in snow. KI pills. Some antibiotics for dental emergencies. You may end up living in a van down by the river.

Glad to see prep go fully mainstream and so many under age 45 on youtube now with shows, tutorials, sharing skills. We are kind of a closed loop of like minded here way ahead of the curve, so its great seeing the youngins taking steps for resilience.

As a conversation starter pack for the DGI crowd, its serviceable art.
