The Vermont Country Store carries a lot of those liquor candies at Christmas.I looked there to see if I could find the chocolate bourbon balls that Cary loves. You might know what I'm talking about. Dark chocolate round balls that are filled with bourbon. I think it's bourbon. We got those shipped to us from his grandmother at Christmas time every year. Thanks a bunch!

I saw some at nuts.com too. There are all kinds of bourbon balls on Amazon...with ridiculous prices! They're not hard to make; just google bourbon balls recipe.
I forget you are new. I am in CA high desert.Just a thought - when reporting on shortages (or if there aren't any) maybe it would be helpful to say if you're in a blue state or a red state.

It has nothing to do with being new. Everyone knows CA, NY, OR, WA, MA, etc. are blue states, FL, TX, TN are red states, but there's a bunch of them that most have no idea of where they stand because they're not often in the news. From what I've seen, the shortages are effecting the blue states more than anyplace else and I'd like to see if that's true.
People are pulling back on purchasing anything but the essentials.Did a large 33 item order and they had everything. I saw no evidence of any kind of shortages. This is crazy. I don't know what to think anymore about anything. Prices were down on some items even. Water 1.19 instead of 1.59 last time.

I forgot to say this time. Usually I do say either Victor Valley in S. CA high deser or S. CA high desert. Would you like my street address? Or town? It isn't a secret. I have mentioned it before when there was a fire.On reports like this, it's a courtesy to put a location.
I'm not new and don't remember where everybody is located.
Your location is not on your member card, so that's no help either.

Or is it the fact I can afford to shop a large order that irritates the crap out of you and obnoxious newbie.
Has anyone seen canned pears at Aldi's lately, anywhere in the country?
We've looked in every Aldi's we've passed in gosh, about 4 months, and haven't seen them at all. I'm just wondering if there's a problem with their supplier or if this is going to be a growing problem in all stores. Aldi's canned pears run I think about 95 cents (or used to), larger chains stores are at least twice that near us for any brand. We just happen to like Aldi's canned pears better :-)
And when tempers flare on here, usually something big happens in the real world.C'mon guys let's get back on topic. Enough snark for one day. We all have bad days here and there. Let's not take our frustrations out on each other.

Awesome, thank you!! I'll keep checking with fingers crossed, maybe it isn't a lost cause after all :-)Yes, got some last month; in fact, I was planning to get a few more cans - probably going later this week, so we'll see if they're still available. I don't remember the exact price, but they were under $1. TN Valley area.
$7.89 for a package of Ball Park beef hot dogs! GTFOOH!!! Maryland

It IS.The angst is high today........................
Just past full moon, or something else in the air. All I can say is - thank God for dog crates otherwise there'd have been a drippin' fresh Lab puppy skin hanging on my wall this morning...the little demon. As we sit, I don't even remember what she did (or destroyed), but at least she's learning when Ma is pissed...the crate is her friend. And when tempers flare on here, usually something big happens in the real world.
I don't know if we've tried their pears, I'll ask DH...I know their peaches are pretty good. Thanks!Don't know if you like the HEB (HCF) pears in juice better than the big brands, but our HEB's have them for $1.39 in stock currently.
I can't comment because its three weeks since I went to the grocery, but DH is having a hard time finding his tampico mango punch drink. I'm in north central Louisiana.Still, there doesn't seem to be any shortages of anything here in the Tupelo, MS. area. Just high prices that keep going higher.
You can say that again, I snapped at my DH this morning and I had doing that. The angst is high today........................
I see the same thing here in suburban Memphis, TN. Prices are climbing through the ceiling, but little in the line of actual shortages.Still, there doesn't seem to be any shortages of anything here in the Tupelo, MS. area. Just high prices that keep going higher.
