Solar Grand Solar Minimum part deux

Here's a podcast from Adapt 2030 just a few days ago. It's clearly about food issues going forward. Personally, I'm no longer viewing food supply problems due to the corona virus as being totally separate from food supply problems due to the GSM. I'm looking at it from the larger picture, if you will. I follow crop problems/supply issues due to recurrent/unusually extreme weather problems (flooding, freezing, hail, drought, etc.) that likely can be attributed to the GSM, and overlay that with another level of problems caused by the virus. YMMV, of course. Either way, we're going to be facing food quality/supply issues going forward.

The World Postures for Food Shortages (970)

Run time is 13:33

Daily headlines warn of food shortages and constraints, you should heed the warnings and grow your own. As the economy evaporates messages continue to fill the airwaves that stability will return next month, all the while elites slither off to their bunkers as the 2024 planetary alignment is set to bring extreme volcanism and global liquefaction. FYI: Romania has halted all grain shipments, Russia followed, what country is next?

Ice Age Start-Up Phase I 45% Complete

Professor Dr. Zbigniew Jaworowski - a world-renowned atmospheric scientist and mountaineer, who has excavated ice out of 17 glaciers on 6 continents in a 50-years career - warned in his 2003 paper "The Ice Age is Coming" that according to the observed average duration of the warm periods between the ice ages, the end of the current interglacial period should have already happened 500 years ago and is evermore immanent. He couldn't have known the reason for the delay, because the scientific data for it hadn't been available in 2003. It is available now, measured in Carbon-14 and Berylliun-10 ratios as solar activity proxies, and likewise sunspot numbers, solar cosmic-ray-flux density, solar-wind pressure, magnetic-pole deflection, and coronal holes on the Sun. All of these measurements made in space and on the ground together tell us that the solar system is in an amazing free-fall collapse (in cosmic terms) towards a new Little Ice Age in the 2030 (phase I) and the full Ice Age in the 2050s (phase III). Is Climate Change Dangerous? Former NOAA Meteorologist David Dilly - Extremely Cold 2025 To 2050
23,681 views
•Aug 11, 2017

David Dilley, former NOAA Meteorologist and current CEO and senior research scientist - Global Weather Oscillations, Inc., gives a presentation on Mind Your Own Business TV with Debi Davis. Mr. Dilley provides the viewer a full picture and understanding of climate change cycles and carbon dioxide cycles. Mr. Dilley combines his own research with peer reviewed research from other scientists and applies it to what is happening today, and to the likely dangerous climate change that will occur between the years 2019 to 2050.

David Dilley is currently the President and Chief Research Scientist of Global Weather Oscillations, Inc. (GWO), which he formed in 1992. According to its website, Global Weather Oscillations was founded “with the clear understanding that most weather and climate we experience on earth are cyclical in nature, and driven by this 'Natural PFM [Primary Forcing Mechanism]' cycles.” At GWO, David Dilley “performs ongoing climate cycle research,” and “develops specific climate cycle models for generation of climate/weather predictions years into the future.” Prior to the founding of GWO, David Dilley worked as a meteorologist for the U.S. Air Force, then as a “senior forecaster” with NOAA and the National Weather Service.

“For over 15 years an inordinate proportion of government and corporate research grants have been awarded to universities for a single specific purpose: to prove human activities and the burning of fossil fuels are the main driving mechanisms causing global warming. “Unfortunately agendas by strong arm politics and the suppression of contrary views have become the primary tools used to manipulate the media, local and state governments (and in turn the general public) into believing what they want us to believe.” “The politically driven United Nations IPCC and United States global warming ruse will likely end up being one of the greatest scandals of the 21st century.”

Interview with John Casey and Grand Solar Minimum Jake & Mari Interview John Casey. Interviewed on Jul 17, 2017 This is the last interview John Casey had before his stroke. We are keeping him in our prayers! Veritence Publishing, Inc at http://veritencepublishing.com/ This important new science book, "Upheaval!" is now available through Veritence Publishing, Inc., Trafford Publishing and Amazon.com and other retail outlets, in both paperback and eBook formats. This profound science work by some of the world's leading climate science and seismology experts, shows why the United States has just entered one of its most dangerous periods ever. The book lays out the case for catastrophic earthquakes striking the USA with long term adverse consequences for the entire country starting as early as 2017! Hundreds of billions of dollars are likely in property damage and tens of thousands of Americans may die during the next twenty years of geophysical 'upheaval.'

Mr. John L. Casey. IEVPC Co-Founder and Director. Mr. Casey is also President of Veritence, Inc., a science and engineering consulting company and Veritence Publishing, Inc. a company established to aid scientists, nature and science-fiction authors to get their books published. He was, previous to 2015, the President of the Space and Science Research Corporation (SSRC), a leading climate science research organization. Mr. Casey is a former White House space program advisor, NASA Headquarters and Congressional Consultant and was a Senior Field Engineer on the Space Shuttle program. He is a leading researcher on the science of solar activity cycles and their impacts on climate change and associated catastrophic geophysical events (CGE), including earthquakes, tsunamis and volcanic eruptions. He is also the author of the widely acclaimed climate science books including the 2011 climate book “Cold Sun,” its 2014 remake and natiowide best seller, "Dark Winter," and the December 12, 2016 book "Upheaval! - Why Catastrophic Earthquakes Will Soon Strike the United States."

Run time is 50:17

This is a presentation John did several years ago. He has committed his life to waking up the masses & we at GSM will do our best to help spread his very important message.

Please help us by sharing this on social media.

John L. Casey is a former White House space program advisor, consultant to NASA Headquarters, and space shuttle engineer. He is one of America’s most successful climate change researchers and climate prediction experts. Mr. Casey is the leading advocate in the US for a national and international plan to prepare for the next climate change to one of a dangerous cold climate era. This new cold era is caused by a historic decline in the Sun’s energy output, what he calls a “solar hibernation.”

In the spring of 2007, he became the first researcher to announce this dramatic change in the Sun to the White House and the mainstream media. In addition to correctly predicting the hibernation of the Sun, recently confirmed by NASA and other science organizations, he has correctly predicted the end of global warming, and the long term decline in the Earth's temperatures.

Chilly May Temperatures to Engulf Midwest and Northeast, Including Possible Snow Late Week
By Brian Donegan
weather.com

At a Glance
  • The first full week of May will be chilly in the Midwest and Northeast.
  • An early-week cooldown is sending temperatures back below average.
  • A stronger cold front late in the week will send temperatures tumbling even farther.
  • Some wet snow is possible in the interior Northeast by Friday night.
An early-week cooldown across the Midwest and Northeast will be followed by even colder temperatures and possibly some wet snow late in the week.

Temperatures were in the 60s and 70s to near 80 degrees in those regions during the weekend, which was some of the warmest weather they had so far this season. But temperatures are falling below average early this week, and a stronger cold front will send temperatures tumbling even farther by late week.

image

Cooler air will already be in place early this week, but even colder air arrives late in the week.

Much of the northern tier will have highs 5 to 15 degrees below average during the first half of the week. That translates to highs in the 50s or lower 60s for most areas, although places along the Canadian border might hold in the 40s.

(MORE: Early-Week Cold Front Will Bring Threat of Severe Thunderstorms)

By Friday, the stronger cold front will sweep across the Midwest and East, making it feel more like early April than early May. High temperatures will be 10 to 20 degrees below average Friday into Mother's Day weekend, with highs struggling in the 50s as far south as Washington, D.C., and 40s in the northern tier.

image

Low temperatures will be quite chilly Mother's Day weekend, even in parts of the South.

It could dip into the mid-40s next Sunday morning as far south as Atlanta, where the average low this time of year is in the mid- to upper 50s. Nashville might bottom out close to 40 degrees Saturday and Sunday mornings; the average low there is in the mid-50s in early May.

A large area of the Midwest and Northeast will likely have morning lows in the 30s Mother's Day weekend, with upper 20s possible near the Canadian border.

This late-season cold air might harm any sensitive spring vegetation where a frost or freeze occurs, but details are still a bit uncertain.

The chilly temperatures could also threaten some daily record lows, including in Detroit where the record low for Saturday is 29 degrees.

image

Forecast Morning Lows

Wet Snow in May?

When the cold front moves through the Northeast on Friday, the air might be just cold enough to produce some wet snow in parts of the interior by Friday night.

This includes portions of eastern West Virginia, western and northern Pennsylvania, upstate New York and western and northern New England.

The best chance of snow will be over the higher terrain, but even lower elevations could have a bit of wet snow.

Check back to weather.com for updates in the week ahead.

Purple-shaded locations may see either rain or snow. Areas in pink are expected to see sleet or freezing rain (ice).)

There is one night coming up here where I liuve in north central Arkansas that is forecast to be 41 degrees. Where I live out in the hills, that could easily end up to be a little lower and hopefully not below 35 or 36.

I think there's only been two freezes in May here, in the 42 years that I've lived here. I'm not real anxious for another one.

Oh my gosh, I hope you can get any vegetable plants you have out somewhat covered. We aren't 'supposed' to get this one, maybe just a light shower, and there's another coming in I think on Saturday. I think we're not supposed to get the cold temps with that one, either.

We've got flowers on green beans and tomato plants, and some small tomatoes forming. If this one drops our temps that low, I think it would be very unusual for this time of year. I'd have to pull up historical data to be sure.

Fingers crossed you don't get it that bad - or any other members, either! Heck, it sure won't help a lot of crops, either.

I plan on keeping a close eye on the weather and will toss sheets over any sensitive plants that are in by then. So far it's mostly just greens and they would be fine. I'd have to make sure my flowers didn't freeze, though I did go rather cuckoo over flowers this year, but I figured I'm not spending on anything else much, and I like to support my local businesses.

I'm having a hard time being outdoors lately. It's because of the humidity. Used to be humidity would make my sinuses clear right up. Opposite of normal, I know, but that's how it was. But now, with the advanced emphysema, I feel like I'm suffocating when I'm outside. I'll have to chose my gardening times carefully. And if there is a humidity line on the chart I look at for weather, I'll start figuring what level of it in the air is where I start having trouble. At least I might be able to plan a little ahead if I can do that.

I'm trying to find the thread that has the spoof song of "Jolene" cuz I want to play it for my sister over the phone. She's so down all the time from this Covid stuff that I try everything I can to make her laugh.

Not as much as IAF, but with more of an international focus and still a good amount of GSM info, also international. I try to ignore the stuff about gold and digital currency as I'm not the least interested in those things.....they are way above my "pay grade".

I know the shortages caused by this virus, whether directly or indirectly, aren't really anythign to do with the GSM-caused shortages, but in real life, they are going to be tightly intertwined and will have to be dealt with as one bigger, more complex than ever problem. So I tend to treat them as one thing, as that's how they are and will be affecting my life.

Well, don't forget all the flooding last year. Crops never got planted, or got washed out, or the previous year's crops rotted in flooded silos. It drowned livestock too. I remember people downplaying all of that - it wasn't the entire country...yada, yada. I disagreed then, and now. These defecits are adding up over time.

Calgary Ties its Longest Streak Below 20C (68F) in Recorded History

May 5, 2020 Cap Allon

The COLD TIMES are returning. This isn’t a conspiracy theory. Prepare.

As vast pockets of the planet currently battle anomalous May cold, it’s come to light (via iceagenow.info) that the cosmopolitan Alberta city of Calgary has tied its longest stretch of temps <20C (<68F) in recorded history:

Image

Note how most of the other stretches fall in or around previous solar minimums. Compare for yourself using the “Solar Cycles” chart below [image source twitter.com/YYC_Weather].

The stretch ran from Sept, 23, 2019 to April 28, 2020, and not since 1932/33 –and the solar minimum of cycle 16– has it been this cold for this long.

A tweet dated April 29 from Calgary Weather Records confirms the record: “Streak over. After 219 Consecutive days with maximum temperature <20°C in #Calgary, the maximum temperature was 20.1°C today. We tied the all time record before the run ended.”

2.3 Sunspots & The Solar Cycle

Furthermore, temperatures in Calgary are forecast to hold well below 20C over the next few weeks as a rare May-blast of Arctic air grips North America. If it wasn’t for last Tuesday’s 20.1C, the all-time record would have been annihilated.

1588683152431.png

The COLD TIMES are returning in line with historically low solar activity, cloud-nucleating Cosmic Rays, and a meridional jet stream flow.

Even NASA agrees, in part at least, with their forecast for this upcoming solar cycle (25) revealing it will be “the weakest of the past 200 years,” with the agency correlating previous solar shutdowns to prolonged periods of global cooling here.

1588683202412.png

Don’t fall for bogus warm-mongering political agendas — our future is one of ever-descending COLD.

Prepare accordinglearn the cycles, relocate if need be, and grow your own.

Didn't see it. Yes plagues and bad weather cycles seem to arrive in tandem. Hard to pin down the start of something that creeps along, but NYC's hurricane Sandy strikes me as enough of an outlier to mark a noticeable *start.* That was about five years ago? Also, I remember Melodi's posts from three or four years ago when Ireland was experiencing miserable cold and flooding. IIRC, it was two winters in a row.

Alright, I went looking without much success in the Gardening subforum, and as I know it is connected to GSM, I have a question. Where is a very basic, beginner's course/website/book on getting started on Gardening?

I'm no whiz at it, but I did start some potatoes, and those seem to be going well. But I started branching into pre-potted herbs, and those seem to be going okay, though I don't know when I should transfer to bigger pots, or plant them in ground, or what to feed them when they need feeding. I bought heirloom seeds to sprout, but I have never done that, so I want advice/instruction on that. Also, I planted a blackberry bush with a trellis and a free-standing blueberry bush, and want to make sure I take good care of them, as well as keeping the squirrels from eating the berries.

I live in the suburbs for now, but am trying to step out to the country and want to use my experience now to inform that future move. HALP!

Searcher, your blackberry probably won't be an actual bush, but a tall cane with small branches coming off of it. But it will send up one to several shoots from the roots over the growing season, (possibly crowding your pot) and in the fall your original cane will die and can later be pruned out by cutting it off fairly close to the ground. Those new shoots will be next year's canes and you may need to put each in it's own pot so it has room to grow its own new shoots starting a year from now.

This is how most cane berries grow and if you can find a way to keep the plants you produce, you'll have a good start of a whole row of them if you do manage to move out to the country where you'd have room for such things.

HALP!
Soe of my favorites: The resilient gardener by Carol Deppe. IMO about the best out there for growing food to stay fed. She focuses on 5 crops: Corn, beans, eggs, potatoes and squash. THe Joy of Gardening by Dick Raymond. Book from the 80s on basic gardening. He sells the Troybilt tiller pretty hard but it is a good book. Eliot Colemans Four Season Harvest or Four Season Farm Gardeners Cookbook. Both get into gardening year-round in a cold climate with greens growing in greenhouse all year long. A great all around Book is Carla Emerys Encyclopedia of Country Living. Gives you a taste of everything. Also hit up your state extension service as they will have a lot of free info on growing different things in your area. Most of all try stuff. Don't hesitate to plant something because you are afraid of screwing up. Plant it screw up and learn. I would say pick a half dozen things and focus on those. Lear what you can and try it!!

Are you sure about that?
Searcher, your blackberry probably won't be an actual bush, but a tall cane with small branches coming off of it. But it will send up one to several shoots from the roots over the growing season, (possibly crowding your pot) and in the fall your original cane will die and can later be pruned out by cutting it off fairly close to the ground. Those new shoots will be next year's canes and you may need to put each in it's own pot so it has room to grow its own new shoots starting a year from now.

Thank you very much! The blackberry vine and the blueberry both have been planted in my backyard, so pot-crowding shouldn't apply, but we'll see about trimming the blackberry vines. My grandparents had dewberries, and I don't remember them needing pruning. Then again, I wasn't there all the time, I might have missed the prunings.

As for keeping the plants, I was hoping to take them, if I don't murder them with a black thumb... ;)
