What I don't understand is this.....they're (tptb) letting this come here freely...heck they're welcoming it with open arms. Aren't they concerned they might get it? I mean do they honestly think it won't affect them? Unless of course they know this is man made and they have the vaccine. But even so if they plan on killing us all off who in the heck is gonna support them? They have to realize that this will take out a huge portion of taxpaying citizens. I just do not understand their thought process.......

If nothing else we have learned that all the taxpayer dollars that have been expended for years for the CDC and local disaster training were wasted. We now have glaring proof of how unprepared we are to respond to this type of emergency. Train Train Train write and teach thousands of pages of procedure and what we saw and see in Dallas is the best we can do???? This didn't happen in some crap hole town of 2000 with two doctors and a vet. This is frickin' Dallas Texas and they left patient 0's family and belongings in an apartment complex for over four days while two guys in short sleeve shirts and jeans power washed his vomit off the sidewalk. At least now we know without a doubt how screwed we are.......

winner, winner, chicken dinner. Answer: Not so much. Why? Because this didn't just "spontaneously" happen. Just as the "important people" have bunkers...they also have some treatment for the off chance one of the elect has an accident. We'll never see any of it. Planned and now in full implementation - Our government is exterminating its' citizens. GASP. Think that's crazy talk? Been done in most every other part of the world. Remember the Holomodor?

Bill Gates and the Texas doctor from 2006 must be in elitist heaven.

I agree with one suggested change. This isn't JUST N. America. NWO has decided to go global. This is for ALL the marbles. They are going for a full global population cull.

Maybe having FEWER people on earth will make it easier for the AntiChrist kingdom to maintain its rule once they take over after this.

And maybe what is CURRENTLY happening is the 4th "horseman"---and all FOUR horses ride together at the same time instead of sequentially---which means that very shortly now full HELL will be unleashed upon the world:

*the dramatic new "leader" (riding but not yet ruling, so not "revealed" as AC YET---if I understand correctly, what "reveals" him is when he "takes his throne in the temple of God, proclaiming himself that he IS God") appears, speaking and acting in such a way that the world sees him as the only hope "out" of these crises;

*war comes (Iran, Iraq, Syria, ISIS, Korea, China/Taiwan---take your pick, or all at once for all we know)

*economic collapse worldwide and hyperinflation and famine accompanying

*DEATH on the pale horse (disease, plague)

I just thought of the verse in Revelation that speaks of one of the plagues being that he is given power "to kill with the BEASTS of the earth"----this disease STARTED in bats

What makes you think Obama loves the black community? He loves to use the black community to further his agenda. He loves the fact that in their eyes, he is one of them, and can use it to his advantage to further racial divides. As far as really caring about them, I, highly, doubt that notion. They are nothing more than a tool and a means to an end in his destruction of the US.

here's the thing for me

there are 2 scary things happening

1) the virus itself

2) the way the outbreak has been/is being handled

its being run to avoid panic at the cost of giving the virus a place on the continent to brew

i'm just gobsmacked the daughter that cared for duncan before the ambulance trip has been cleared to walk around in public in less than the 21 day incubation period

wth?

REALLY!!

I think she and her hubby/boyfriend work in HEALTHCARE!!

AND

I'm really sick of answers like "could be"...."might be"..."hasn't been determined" "possibly"....."probably unlikely" ..."very rare"...and the other double talk going on!!!

Tests clear doctor of Ebola, CDC says,
Was treated in isolation till relapse was ruled out.

WORCESTER — The federal Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said that Dr. Richard A. Sacra had tested negative for an Ebola relapse, UMass Memorial Medical Center announced in a statement Sunday night. Sacra was removed from the isolation unit at the hospital.

The Holden doctor, who contracted Ebola in Africa over the summer, will continue to be treated for the upper respiratory infection that prompted his hospitalization on Saturday.
Sacra, who had been treated and declared free of the deadly virus in Nebraska late last month, was initially put in isolation as a precaution, Dr. Robert Finberg, an infectious-disease expert leading Sacra’s team of doctors, said earlier Sunday at a news conference at the hospital.

“He seems to feel better today than he did yesterday,” Finberg said, though Sacra still has a cough and a fever. Finberg said Sacra was eating, improving, and in good spirits as he awaited word from the CDC, which had also confirmed that Sacra was Ebola-free in three blood tests after his treatment in Nebraska. Sacra told his doctors “categorically” that his new illness did not feel like Ebola, Finberg said.

“People who have Ebola don’t feel like eating,” Finberg said. “The fact that he’s eating and he feels pretty good, I think is a very good sign.”

Sacra’s wife is not ill, Finberg said, and she is not being kept in isolation. He said the public is in no danger of Ebola exposure.

The Ebola victim being treated in Dallas is now receiving an experimental drug after federal authorities gave the go-ahead for its use in emergency cases, the hospital said Monday.

The disclosure that Thomas Eric Duncan began receiving the drug brincidofovir came hours after its maker, Biopharma company Chimerix announced that the antiviral drug has been approved for emergency use in Ebola patients.
"Mr. Duncan remains in critical condition," said Candace White, spokeswoman for Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital in Dallas. "His condition is stable. He is now receiving the investigational medication brincidofovir." Duncan contracted Ebola in the West African country of Liberia, but was diagnosed after traveling to the US.

Other Ebola patients soon could also be receiving the drug as a result of the Food and Drug Administration's decision to approve it on a compassionate-use basis.
Brincidofovir joins two other experimental antiviral drugs that have already been deployed in the battle against Ebola.

You know, it would be a nefarious plot, but if some pharmaceutical wanted to make Billions all they would have to do is introduce ebola on all continents, wait until things looked bleak and then introduce the cure and/or vaccine.

Not that anyone would go to that length simply for wealth, like trading in carbon offsets for example.

Nurse First To Contract Ebola Outside Africa

http://news.sky.com/story/1348419/nurse-first-to-contract-ebola-outside-africa

A Spanish nurse has become the first person to contract ebola outside of West Africa, amid an outbreak that has killed more than 3,400 people.

The woman was part of a medical team at Madrid's La Paz-Carlos III hospital that treated two missionaries, who died shortly after being repatriated from Africa with the disease.

It comes as US President Barack Obama said his administration was beefing up airport screening measures in the country to help identify people who might have the deadly virus.

Spain's health minister, Ana Mato, said an emergency protocol had been put in place and authorities were working to establish the source of the contagion at the Madrid hospital.

"We are working to guarantee the safety of all citizens," she said.
Video: Liberia Gripped By Ebola Virus Fear

Spanish priest Miguel Pajares, 75, was infected with ebola in Liberia and died at the hospital on 12 August.

Another Spanish missionary, Manuel Garcia Viejo, 69, was repatriated from Sierra Leone and died at the hospital on 25 September.

Both were members of a Roman Catholic group that runs a charity working with ebola victims in Africa.

A Spanish health official said 30 medical staff who treated the two priests are being monitored.

The infected nurse began to feel ill on 30 September, but did not go to hospital until Sunday complaining of a fever.

The assistant nurse, who is married without children, is being treated in isolation at a hospital in a southern Madrid suburb.

Health authorities are trying to track down all the people she may have come in contact with since she contracted the disease.

She is said to be in a stable condition.

Sky's Health and Science Correspondent Thomas Moore said it is the first time the virus has been transmitted outside West Africa during the current epidemic.

Meanwhile, Mr Obama announced tougher screening measures after meeting health and security officials who are involved in attempting to prevent an outbreak of the disease in the US.

He told reporters the chance of an outbreak in the US was "extraordinarily low", but that there was not a large margin for error.

The White House is not currently proposing a travel ban for West Africa, epicentre of the outbreak.

DALLAS (CBS 11 NEWS) – CBS 11 News has learned that two of the four acquaintances closest to Ebola victim Thomas Eric Duncan are employed at a North Dallas residence facility.

A letter from managers at the Windsor Senior Living Center informed residents and staff that two employees were quarantined, because of their close association with Duncan. The letter went on to stress that there is no risk to anyone at the center.

But not everyone got the message, including contract caregiver Roxie White, who told CBS 11 she was surprised at the news. “I won’t be going up in there,” she said, speaking of the residence center. “I’ve got three kids to take care of. So this… I won’t be able to do this. Uh-uh.”

Management at Windsor Senior Living Center declined to be interviewed on camera but called the two employees in quarantine “valued members of our team.”

The letter read:

To Windsor Residents and Employees,

As you may know from news accounts, an individual in the Dallas area has been identified as having the Ebola virus. We are writing to inform you that two members of our staff are now in quarantine after coming in contact with this individual.

Dallas County Health and Human Services has told us that community residents, staff members and guests are at no risk for Ebola from these quarantined staff members.

It is important that you know that the staff members—who are valued members of our team—have not shown any symptoms of the virus. However, protocol designed by the CDC, and underscored by local authorities, requires quarantine in their homes for a total of 21 days.

R.I. man in Neb. to get Ebola care
By Faiz Siddiqui
| Globe correspondent October 06, 2014

OMAHA — The second Ebola patient to be treated in Nebraska remained in good spirits Monday upon arriving from Liberia, his parents said, but his condition was expected to worsen as he entered a critical phase of the illness.

Ashoka Mukpo, a 33-year-old who grew up in Providence, was in stable condition Monday afternoon at Nebraska Medical Center, where he will receive treatment in a 10-bed biocontainment unit said to be the largest in the country.

Mukpo will undergo an experimental treatment for the illness, medical center spokesman Taylor Wilson said Monday. But it is unknown at this point what drug will be used.

Wilson said multiple options are being considered, including TKM-Ebola, used in the successful treatment of Massachusetts physician Richard Sacra, and brincidofovir, a drug being employed in the treatment of a critically ill Ebola patient in Dallas.

Mukpo was working as a freelance cameraman for NBC News in Liberia when he fell ill last week. He is the fifth American to return to the United States for treatment during the outbreak, which has killed more than 3,400 people in West Africa.

A specially equipped plane carrying him left Liberia on Sunday evening, making a stop in Bangor to refuel, before arriving at Omaha’s Eppley Airfield about 7:30 a.m. Monday.

Mukpo walked off the plane under his own power. He wore a hooded jumpsuit and waved in a manner that his father described as “gingerly.” He was loaded onto a stretcher, which was carried into an ambulance by staff wearing protective suits.

Four motorcycles and two police cruisers accompanied the ambulance to the hospital, the spokesman said. The convoy, trailed by a helicopter, arrived at Nebraska Medical Center at 7:53 a.m. Mukpo was wheeled inside on a gurney.

Five minutes later, he was in the biocontainment unit on the seventh floor of University Tower.

Mukpo’s symptoms on arrival included fever and nausea, said his father, Dr. Mitchell Levy, who traveled from Rhode Island with his wife to be present as their son began treatment.

“He’s enormously relieved to be here,” his mother, Diana Mukpo, said. “Of course, it’s still quite frightening, but he’s hanging in.”

Because the infection was caught early, before it entered the phase with the most severe symptoms, Mukpo’s condition will probably deteriorate before improving, said his father, who is director of the medical intensive care unit at Rhode Island Hospital.

Officials at the Nebraska hospital said the successful treatment of Sacra would yield lessons for the medical staff treating their latest patient.

One example: A laboratory used to measure electrolytes and perform blood tests was relocated to the biocontainment unit, saving about an hour per test.

The biocontainment unit staff of 35 had expanded to about 45 by the time Mukpo arrived, said Shelly Schwedhelm, nursing director of the biocontainment unit.

“I wanted to be able to care for more than one patient at a time if we were asked to do so,” she said.

It was a quiet Monday afternoon at the hospital, where students and staff had become accustomed to the Ebola-related activity a month after the first patient arrived.

For some, there was a sense that this new patient would not be the last.

“As long as there’s Ebola, there’s a chance that there’s a patient here,” said Emily Kindvall, a 24-year-old physical therapy student.

Mukpo’s arrival had one noticeable effect for students in shadowing programs.

“We won’t be going to the biomedical containment unit any time soon,” said Dylan Ashby, a 16-year-old taking classes at the medical center as part of a high school alliance.

Inside the unit, Mukpo’s preliminary treatment will focus on controlling symptoms and making sure he gets enough fluids, doctors said.

Mukpo’s parents said their son had spent two years working for a nongovernmental organization in Liberia before coming back to the United States in May. He returned to the African nation in September.

His parents warned him against traveling there during the height of the outbreak, his mother pleading with him to change his mind.

“I begged him from a mother’s perspective, saying, ‘Please don’t go,’ ” she said.

“When he told me, I asked him if he was crazy,” the father recalled.

Mukpo said he may have become infected while spray-washing a car in which a person had died, Levy said.

His parents held a short video chat with their son before a press conference Monday. Levy said his son looked strong.

The mother was just happy to see him.

“It was an enormous relief to be able to see his face,” she said.

maybe it's just me...but it sure seems that as soon as that "he is dead" piece hit the internet...someone flipped the "thou shalt NOT be reporting" line implementation...cause at that point it sure seems like w/in hours the news regarding this dried up...and unfortunately in my mind...makes me think someone got it right and w/o permission to release it...then there's the line where now they're hiding all the possibles and apparently removed their ability to communicate with the outside world...cause the interviews have all dried up too...can't buy that a reporter would NOT want to do an interview with these folks...next thing to watch are the schools I guess...the kid/s were exposed from the 24th on...that makes 14 days or 6 depending on how ya wanta count them...should be seeing something there shortly if any of the kids/personnel sitting next to them/playing with them on the playgrounds/handling food trays/using the bathrooms/etc were exposed...has anyone seen whether or not any of these kids are bused?...and I am still missing at least one kid from the original bunch...anyone figger out who attended the high school? or if no hs age kids and no bussing...why they confirmed someone at the hs was exposed in the home originally?

Texas A&M's Brett Giroir will lead Ebola task force in Texas

Local (Texas) news report:

http://www.theeagle.com/news/local/texas-a-m-s-brett-giroir-will-lead-ebola-task/article_daeba82a-0b34-505a-9c99-0f9df45f0148.html

The man in charge of a task force to ensure the state appropriately responds to infectious diseases like the Ebola virus said Monday that planning to contain or prevent future outbreaks of pandemic diseases and viruses is already underway.

"The game plan is to do a quick assessment of the current Ebola case and the response to it and make recommendations that can be helpful in short and long terms," Texas A&M Health Science Center CEO Brett Giroir said. "Then we want to outline and engage the major topic areas that are important to the Ebola response and other responses in the future."

Gov. Rick Perry announced in Austin on Monday the creation of the Texas Task Force on Infectious Disease Preparedness and Response, which Giroir will oversee.
The task force is composed of 14 physicians and academics from across the state, including three Texas A&M academics and administrators. Texas A&M Health Science Center Public Health Preparedness and Response Vice President Dr. Gerald Parker will serve as deputy director of the task force; Texas Veterinary Medical Diagnostics Laboratory Director Tammy Beckham and HSC professor of epidemiology Scott Lillibridge will work with Giroir to develop a long-term plan to respond to potential pandemic disease outbreaks.

The task force will present written reports on its findings and recommendations to the governor and Legislature by Dec. 1, with an additional report due Feb. 1.

"Preparedness requires clear, decisive, and prospective management aimed not only at rapid response, but also long-term solutions," Giroir said at the press conference. "The timelines for containment of a serious outbreak mandate that we are fully prepared for the worst-case scenario, no matter what form that may take."

Before assuming leadership of the Texas A&M Health Science Center in October 2013, Giroir served as of the Federal Government's Defense Sciences Office of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) from 2004-2008.
Perry said at the press conference that the task force will build on the existing State of Texas Emergency Management Plan.

"This task force will develop a comprehensive, long-term plan to ensure Texas deals effectively with any potential outbreak," he said.

Giroir told The Eagle Monday that he was asked to head the new task force while in Dallas helping to manage the case of Thomas Eric Duncan, the man being treated at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital who contracted the disease while visiting Liberia and showed symptoms after his return.

Caliber Biotherapeutics, which is located in Bryan's biocorridor and co-operated by Texas A&M, could also find itself on the front lines in the fight against the spread of Ebola.

Caliber produces an experimental drug called ZMapp, which is grown on tobacco plants at the facility. The drug developed by San Diego company Mapp Biopharmaceutical was used to help two American aid workers successfully recover in Atlanta after contracting Ebola in Liberia.

Production of the drug is in its infancy at Caliber and would not be ready to immediately be used on the more than 7,000 patients in Africa infected with the disease.

Giroir said Caliber has been in conversations with the U.S. government about producing the experimental serum.

"We are ready to begin production should the government say, 'Go'," Giroir said. "We are still talking only a few thousand doses per year, which is considerably more than the five or seven, which were initially available."

Giroir commended the university for being a source for finding solutions to national issues.

"Texas A&M is in the middle of the conversation, and rightfully so," he said. "We are here to serve the state and the nation whenever possible, and it's an Aggie tradition to do so."

This was a plot on NCIS New Orleans recently. Doc had interest in pharma and ripped off a disease that those drugs were used to treat and kindly spread the Dz.

Wanted to add this as separate line item. Have a friend working as a patient care tech in a local metro hospital. The other day we were talking and she was rambling about EV68. I ask her about what they've been told about Ebola and she said "what?" She knew absolutely nothing about it. Nothing. I was so disgusted I told her to look on the cdc website for symptoms. I DID tell her to start asking ppl if they had recently traveled and to where. It's not really that I expected the hospital to have really educated at this level (though they should) but if you work in a hospital it really is your responsibility to know and understand what's going on in the world so you can protect you and yours. Especially this time of year. Maybe I just have strange ideas.
