R - We are nine million jobs short of where you said we would be, we do NOT want to go back to the policies of these last four years.

Do we make America attractive to business? That is not just going to happen by hiring more teachers.

Bob - Thank you very much, closing statements.

O - 3 debates, months of campaigning, and way too many tv commercials. We have dug our way out of policies that got us into those wars and this economic mess, and R wants to take us back to those policies and R wants those at the top to not have to play by those same rules (Good class war reference). Energy sources of the future, ask the wealthy to do a little bit more, as CIC I will maintain the strongest military in the war (with one trillion in spending cuts).

R we have opportunity to have real leadership, promote peace, get the economy going, two very different paths, one by O that will put us at 20 trillion in debt, O will have 20 million people out of work, I'll get 12 million new jobs, we have to have a POTUS that could work across the aisle, my state was 87 % democrat so I know how it is done. We have had a free and prosperous nation, not it is our turn to take that course, we will need strong leadership, I ask for your vote, I'd like to be the next POTUS.

I think this was the strongest debate for the POTUS, R was a little lethargic. The POTUS turned down the I'm gonna get you sucker attitude and was more articulate, even when spinning his lies.

Bob did a more fair job that I thought he was going to.

I thought R should have been more aggressive.

O's statements were predominantly below the belt. Again and again. Excessively disrespectful, petty attacks - and its being noted now, by Fox commentators . . .

Brit Hume: Mitt Romney didn't have a moment where he seemed uninformed. He used the weakness of the economy. The president was looking for an opportunity to strike. Pres did well but burdened by his record. Weaker case.

Chris Wallace: I would have thought Romney was the president, I thought O was slashing. . . Fact checking: Pres charged R wanted to keep troops in Irag, well, in fact, you have to give that to R, person put in charge was Joe Biden. Fell apart. R was right, O was wrong.

Next, O charges that R doesn't understand how the military works, ships that planes land on, we call them aircraft carriers (how snotty). . .

On auto bailout, R was right

Krauthammer: I think its unequivocal that ROMNEY WON. Romney went big - Obama went very, very small.

It was, indeed, but I think it is Obama's blood on the floor. Romney was outstanding, and I think that impression will continue to build as the debate is critiqued over the next few days. I don't think Romney was shooting for obvious home runs on any particular issue but rather to leave the impression that he was the man who had the skills to get the country moving in the right direction and to keep her safe. I'm just your northern neighbour but am very aware that how you go so goes all of North America. Many of us up here are and have been really worried for a long time now. Anyhow, Romney is very much looking and sounding like a winner IMHO.

Sadly, these debates only confirm that both candidates are taking their orders from CFR etc., and aren't in the least bit swayed by the electorate. The differences we are offered are so very minor....we are all squeezed in a little thought box and are allowed to fight all we want about differences as long as the discussion stays solidly in the box - and nothing in there will be any good for us.

The differences seem to be mostly about which team will get to pass around the money, honey. And we're even in the club.

You're kidding I hope. Although I don't always agree with him (but mostly I do), he is one of the brightest, if not the brightest, light illuminating on the issues of the day. I have always sought out his columns and never miss an opportunity to hear what he has to say. I have admired his wisdom for a long time and even more so when I understood the personal challenges he has had to face. He is truly a remarkable individual.

I thought it was boring and irritating, for the most part, and dozed off a couple of times....then of course, I have a "tooth situation"(something caught in my gum behind a molar going to the dentist this morning) and was on a lot of Advil, and a pain pill....hmmmm, on second thought, maybe being sleepy/loopy was the best way to get through a debate full of Obama's boring lies and pretentious sneering.

The strategy for Romney going into this debate was obvious- look presidential and don't attack Obama on his many failing issues. That was BAD advice he followed. It looked like Obama chewed him up. I know most of Obama's words were lies but must people are clueless. They are of the class of couch potatos watching TV sitcoms and looking for zinging one-liners. Romeny went into a gun fight armed with a rubber bayonet. He needed to talk to the people, not the liar-in-chief.

Romney did not jump on many opportunities. How about the lines where Obama talked down to Romney- we have these things called aircraft carriers that airplanes land on. And we have ships that go under water...

If Romney had any naval background he would have said - yes, you are making our ships go under water. And as the CIC you should know that submarines are called BOATS, not ships.

Romney showed that he is NOT a man of principles. If he was, he would have undercut nearly everything Obama stood for. Yes- it shows they work for the same masters.

If I were running against either of these criminals, I would have had a team of electronics specialists monitoring all the radio frequencies in that room and if I found them transmitting to Obama (or Romney) I would not only jam the freq, but blast loud disrupting noise that would make the perp have to pull his wire out of his ear. Feeding back his own words with a half-second delay would scramble his thoughts.

He is a doctor, and a graduate of Harvard Medical School. He was chief resident of Mass. Gen Hospital. He was a practicing psychiatrist.
He began writing conservative columns in the 70s and is considered one of the intellectual leaders in conservative writings.
The man is paralyzed ST and you make fun of him for acting stiff and stilted.
I would put his political commentary up against yours anyday.
When you want thoughful well reasoned political commentary Krauthammer is your man.

It,s just ear skin reflecting the lights. I blew it way up een tho it was obvious.
