While all the family was together, yesterday, we all talked about the sense of urgency we were all feeling. So, this whole week, we're all going to be doing as much as we can to boost all of our stocks. We went over lists of items as a priority for each. Items that can be used for dual purposes. I told them some things that they put on their lists for items and food storage that they hadn't thought of, etc.....Everyone left with a goal in mind for this week.
Today, we have to venture out, and go to Junglemart to pick up Cary's prescription. Haven't been inside the store in a long time, but this is an exception for his med's. While there, I'm adding more OTC med's and vitamins. Cary want to get barbers's clippers (whatever it's called), so I can start cutting his hair here at home. He wears ball caps a lot, so if I mess it up, he says it'll grow back while wearing his caps, LOL. There are other items I want to check on, but hate having to go all over the store. I have a bit of uneasiness just going there. We will be prayed up and armed up when we go.
Tomorrow, we have to take Mom to big town for her CT scans. We're just going to drop her off at the clinic, and we'll wait in the car. They won't allow but one person in with her, but she told me to just wait in the car with Cary. Hopefully, it won't take too long. We're taking books to read while we wait. We have to pick her up at her house around 12 noon. When we take her back home, we'll stay and visit with her for awhile. We won't know the results of the scans, until she sees her doctor on August 26. She seems to be doing better, and eating more nutritous foods, lately.
Wednesday, I'll be making out Sam's, Keystone, books, and Chewy orders. Yard work if it's not raining. Figs are all gone, and they have been sooooo good. We've really enjoyed them. I gave a bunch to DIL, too. Tomatoes are beginning to slow down, and I'm taking Mom some, tomorrow. Got 20 qts out of them for the freezer, and gave lots away to DIL, so she could make salsa. I really didn't need to put up any more.
Thursday, we'll be making a run into small town for groceries and household items. Replacing food that I've used over two weeks, and adding more to stock. I need more rugs, towels, wash cloths, and another broom and mop to store away. I'm waiting on flannel sheet sets to come out. I need more of those, too, before winter gets here. Pretty soo, I'll start looking into buying more winter clothing for us both. Will probably order from TSC and Cabela's.
I don't have a clue as to what we're going to be doing the rest of the week. There's always something to do, though.
Blessings to all this week!
