It was a much needed “lazy weekend” for me. I did get some house work done and worked on my budget a bit so it was productive.

I’ve started looking at getting some extra seeds for next year so have started some lists on that.
Also, I have some more shampoo and conditioner on the way from Amazon as I’m about to use up a bottle. I buy a 32oz sulfate free shampoo / conditioner for 5.33. I have two sets put away, but like to keep at least that on hand. It lasts me awhile, but I should figure out how long exactly. I’m trying to get my toiletries/non food items to a two year supply and know I don’t have that much.
I also have four battery operated lanterns that should be delivering Tuesday from Amazon (will be three weeks since I ordered them) - I thought the order was going to get cancelled, and they were very cheap and a good quality so was hoping they wouldn’t. Hubby and I keep these for power outages, and they work great. I had recently given a couple away to my adult sons so wanted to replace what I’d given them.

Slow and steady.
I pray everyone here is off to a great week.

I keep getting ads for True Leaf Market, would be interested to hear what you think about their products, and what you've ordered and have planted so far.
We have used a number of different sprouting seeds from them with great success..... this year Dh wanted to start growing 7 top turnip....got some from them...they were very fast to come up and seems like all he all he put in popped up in no time...we also ordered back up seed for a bunch different things we grow...blue lake beans....we have them from several seed companies. as back up seed..we also grow Kentucky wonder on different years....we have not yet settled on one green bean....we have long standing bloomsdale spinach from them and about 2 other companies ...some times we sprout our bean seed before planting..very carefully....also have mammoth melting sugar snow pea seed from them and several other companies.
I learned from an old farmer many years ago...he grew only one variety of of each thing...butter beans, tomatoes melons green beans, cukes..etc...we are still trying a few different things but as we go we are finding the one variety that does best here..then getting back up seeds from different heirloom companies..
We grow only straight eight cukes...so back up seed from 3 or more companies they are great eating and also pickle well. We have 3 different lines of stevia butter beans ..one year we may plant some of all three and see if the cross is a stronger seed.....but we all still keep plenty of originals of each line.
I am in central Virginia very hot and humid and I think you are in Iowa...so not sure what grows best here would do best for you as we have different mico climates..hope this helps you. They appear to be a good seed company..as do the others I mentioned.

One.. or 2 last things the old farmer taught me was plant one seed for the weather one seed for the bugs and one seed for me...the other was if it didn't come up plant it again..might be it was too hot or cold too wet or dry..not to give up put more in the ground and hold your mouth right....I might use the backup seed from a different company on the third try..

Today was overcast and not quite so hot. Rained on and off but we managed to get some outside tasks done. Hubs tested generator and added some faucets. I harvested about 100 ft of sunflowers. They are for the chickens. I picked some of the limas and together we harrowed and bushhogged. Is that a word?! Being on a tractor is one of my favorite activities! And last but not leasted I planted beets. Ran a load of green beans in the canner and then watch granddaughter play volleyball. I still need to look at seed stock and order tonight before we go to bed. Think I can do it? Hope so! Everyday I am full of thanksgiving for another day. I am sure you all know what I mean.
May you all rest well and embrace the peace that passes all understanding.

Bought 6lbs of lentils, 2 more big cans of tuna...and I think that's it. Got new mouse traps, though. I can't be feeding the vermin.

Heads up...
For those of you who like risottos....the drought in Italy is causing problems with the Italian rice crops..a lot of the crop appears to be lost..so you may want to stock up while you can
