oh this is not a good sign.

My guess is bladder cancer, NBC news this afternoon spent an obscene amount of time discussing his prostate procedure and then focused on biopsying the bladder, etc.,
those here who are medicos--

what type of "other" cancer are doctors most likely to "notice" when checking a man's prostate condition?

Neither here nor there.

Colon cancer, cancer of the urethra, and cancer of those tubes that goes up to the kidneys. Testicular cancer, and penile cancer would also be on the list. Or even skin cancer like melanoma.

Either I mis-heard, or the radio mis-reported (either is highly possible) but I could have sworn WSB said that Harry was leaving for the UK in mere hours or days, not a couple of weeks.
Quite frankly I don't think much of this matters outside the UK. The Royals have no actual power and, as our Ms. Melodi said, mostly cut ribbons

They also add the 'prestige' of Royal by adding names and titles to labels and letterheads by styling some .org as 'Royal'.

When I saw this about an hour ago, I thought, "OK, the news is bad."

William does not want to be King, but they agree that we don't always get what we want. William knows that Charles might have to step down if ill health prevented him from doing his duties. The other choice would be for William to take over as Regent. This was discussed regarding Charles doing it for his Mother if she had a stroke or needed to stop performing official duties.

But being Regent would be as much responsibility as being King, so either would end his (and Kate's) plans to concentrate on raising their own kids. I was wrong; they did manage to go forward with their plans to live WITHOUT a live-in Nanny. William limited long-distance trips and helped Kate care for the children at night. They have a day Nanny who "lives out" because they both have royal duties during the day.

But if William has to become King yet(or Regent) because Charles can not "Maintain a Public Life" as they say (aka not cut ribbons in Super Market Parking lots), I am sure they will have to have some live-in help. Still, I've got to hand it to them for giving the kids as close to a "normal" if wealthy upper-class life as possible.

By the way, BOTH brothers married Commoners. Kate learns quickly and follows advice well, but one of her grandmothers was a working-class hairdresser and has a cousin who drives a truck. Both wives have titles now, though Meghan may lose hers (and probably should) if she and Harry keep acting in such horrible ways.

The fact that Harry is flying back within the next TWO WEEKS speaks volumes.
Much like when Charles married Diana (well more accurately, was bred to her) those marriages were to introduce new genetic strains into the Windsor gene pool.

Griz, the ribbon-cutting joke, is British, however, without going into boring details (that have been discussed on other threads). I must point out that, in reality, the King or Queen of England has some of the strongest powers of any reigning monarch in modern Europe.

The Crown has several powers, most of which Queen Elizabeth was careful never to use except on the advice of her ministers or, indeed, THE Prime Minister. One of the fears concerning Charles is that he would use them. So far, he hasn't, but only tradition stands in the way of his doing so.

The Scandinavian royals, as are several other European Monarchies, are pretty much for the show. Still, the British monarchy pretends to be and, by tradition, tends not to use what it has. But it does still have those powers.

All jokes aside, this should never be ignored.

Charles was only in the hospital for 3 days (Jan 26-29). Doubtful that he had a transplant in that timeframe. He was also seen walking to church yesterday.

I have seen speculation that it could be bladder cancer. It would be easy to detect when doing the surgery for an enlarged prostate. It also could’ve caused his prostate to become enlarged. Bladder cancer is also very treatable depending on the type of tumor and when it is caught.

I'll have to read up on that but you're much closer to the centre of all those maelstroms emanating from the Royals.

2.6 billion souls under the crown. That is not insignificant.

I saw that figure while watching the Queen's funeral. Gobsmacked me!

OTHER options, outside prostate, urethra, ureters, bladder, would include Kidney, liver, adrenals, large colon, small intestine, and pancreas, or ALMOST ANY organ that has metastasized to the GU or GI tract.

Prognosis will vary upon degree of metastasis and how widely the lymph glands are affected.

He could last a month or 6 years. Hell, he could last as long as the Queen lasted (which I ASSURE you was a WHOLE LOT LONGER than most people understand.)
And anyone who feels like correcting this should feel free. I can ALWAYS use some learning on the Oncology front.

Prince Harry will fly back to London to be by King Charles' side TODAY but 'Meghan and children will stay in LA' following monarch's cancer diagnosis

Prince Harry will be flying to London to visit his father following his cancer diagnosis, but his wife Meghan and their two children will not be joining him, a source has revealed.

The Duke of Sussex will soon be leaving California for Britain to be reunited with his father, after King Charles contacted both of his sons personally to tell them of his cancer diagnosis, before it was announced by Buckingham Palace.

But Harry's wife Meghan Markle and their children Archie, four, and Lilibet, two, will stay in LA, a source close to the duke has revealed.

A source close to Harry said that he had immediately decided to come to the UK as soon as possible to be by his father's side. Experts have claimed that Harry's dash to Britain 'indicates the seriousness' of the King's condition.

Announcing that Prince Harry will come and see his father, a source close to the Duke said: 'The duke did speak with his father about his diagnosis. He will be traveling to UK to see His Majesty in the coming days.'

The decision will also raise hopes of a reconciliation within the royal family.

{note article contradicts itself--headline says "TODAY" but inside article says "in the coming days"}
Twit wants to make sure he's in daddy's good graces before he croaks. Megan probably put him up to it. She wants that crown so bad she can taste it. I'd be careful with William and his family. I wouldn't put anything past her.

I read that climate change is what caused his royal buttness to get cancer. Charlie believes that humans cause climate change, so he should be happy about his cancer. Cancer sucks, but for him it must really suck.

There is a possibility that he feels guilty for not visiting the Queen when she invited his family to Balmoral before she died & doesn’t want to make the same mistake with his father. I’m not a fan of Harry but I think he’s never properly processed the death of his mother. Who knows how he would react to the news that his father is facing a serious health crisis.

Yeah, the line of succession is VERTICAL not horizontal, normally.

And, DASH, that is my thought as well. Kid has had an extremely difficult life. NOT surprised he's got a few bats roosting in his belfry.

Hale no, I know how long it took for me to get over MY mom's death, and I was a WHOLE LOT older than him.

Are you sure about that?
Good excuse for him to abdicate in favor of William, so the UK can have a young, vigorous monarch again. Charles is fossilized, and likely would much prefer to spend his time with his various globalist organizations, playing the same kind of role in the family that his grandmother did.
It would be VERY interesting if William took the throne, and found a way to bring the rampant woke globo elements to heel.

Colon cancer took mom in just eight months, with her bedridden for the last two. It took a family friend in just six months. If you don't catch it early, make your exit plans.
Took my mother in law in less than two weeks from diagnosis to death. We took her to the hospital thinking she had either taken an excess of cold medicine or she was having a diabetic episode. Neither. Her colon had perforated from the cancer and she actually died from peritonitis. Dear God, it tore my husband apart.
