ALERT UK: King Charles has cancer/Update; has Bell's Palsy

Charles is not going to abdicate. Not only is it not the way the British royal family operates, William does not want to be King yet. He has a young family he is raising & he has much more freedom to do as he pleases as Prince of Wales than he would as King.

Now for my theory on Catherine’s surgery. I think she is pregnant and needed a cervical cerclage (I know they said abdominal surgery but they may be being cagey) followed by bed rest. First monitored in the hospital than a long bed rest at home. I can’t think of an abdominal surgery that requires a 14 day hospital stay. But they do keep pregnant women at high risk in the hospital to be monitored for extended
periods of time. She suffered from sever morning sickness with all of her pregnancies too. This is just speculation based on publicly available information.

Well, DrudgeReport has a headline on top saying that "Harry is flying home..." so that can't be good.
Harry rushing back worries me. Makes me think it could be more serious than they’re saying.

I don’t get Harry. Just go see your father! I would respect him more if he could do it without an announcement. That being said, I’m glad he’s going. I’m sure KC would like to see him.

Neither here nor there.
It can take up to two months to fully recover from that.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

So her not being back to normal until Easter sounds about right.

Plus... she's so skinny, I'm betting they did a tummy tuck to tighten up any loose skin while they were in there!

I wouldn't take that little punk back into the family until he divorced Megan. She is and always was the problem.
Harry, like a number of the spares (2nd string juniors, waiting-to-inherit-a-crown), has always been a bit of a 'troubled case'. Not unlike his uncle, (the spare in Charles' generation) Prince Andrew aka Randy Andy.

By all accounts, he acquitted himself well when deployed but that doesn't mean he's capable of stepping up to a larger role. In my view he's well matched with Meghan and they should stay where they are - sponging their daily bread from associations w/ American elites like Harpo et al, pretending to work for a living.

Having said that, the Royals are nothing more than a glitzy-but-tired tourist attraction. The whole concept is due for a rewrite and hopefully never to get a reboot.

Apparently Prince Harry is traveling back to the UK to see his father. This doesn't sound good.
When I saw this about an hour ago, I thought, "OK, the news is bad."

William does not want to be King, but they agree that we don't always get what we want. William knows that Charles might have to step down if ill health prevented him from doing his duties. The other choice would be for William to take over as Regent. This was discussed regarding Charles doing it for his Mother if she had a stroke or needed to stop performing official duties.

But being Regent would be as much responsibility as being King, so either would end his (and Kate's) plans to concentrate on raising their own kids. I was wrong; they did manage to go forward with their plans to live WITHOUT a live-in Nanny. William limited long-distance trips and helped Kate care for the children at night. They have a day Nanny who "lives out" because they both have royal duties during the day.

But if William has to become King yet(or Regent) because Charles can not "Maintain a Public Life" as they say (aka not cut ribbons in Super Market Parking lots), I am sure they will have to have some live-in help. Still, I've got to hand it to them for giving the kids as close to a "normal" if wealthy upper-class life as possible.

By the way, BOTH brothers married Commoners. Kate learns quickly and follows advice well, but one of her grandmothers was a working-class hairdresser and has a cousin who drives a truck. Both wives have titles now, though Meghan may lose hers (and probably should) if she and Harry keep acting in such horrible ways.

The fact that Harry is flying back within the next TWO WEEKS speaks volumes.

Either I mis-heard, or the radio mis-reported (either is highly possible) but I could have sworn WSB said Harry was flying back "immediately" to see his father---the story made it sound like mere days at most, not a couple of weeks.
He may be flying back immediately. The first report I saw in print said two weeks, but that was several hours ago, and not everything that gets into the press in the middle of something like this is accurate. If it is immediately, then things are likely to be even more serious than I first thought.

Prince Harry will fly back to London to be by King Charles' side TODAY but 'Meghan and children will stay in LA' following monarch's cancer diagnosis

Prince Harry will be flying to London to visit his father following his cancer diagnosis, but his wife Meghan and their two children will not be joining him, a source has revealed.

The Duke of Sussex will soon be leaving California for Britain to be reunited with his father, after King Charles contacted both of his sons personally to tell them of his cancer diagnosis, before it was announced by Buckingham Palace.

But Harry's wife Meghan Markle and their children Archie, four, and Lilibet, two, will stay in LA, a source close to the duke has revealed.

A source close to Harry said that he had immediately decided to come to the UK as soon as possible to be by his father's side. Experts have claimed that Harry's dash to Britain 'indicates the seriousness' of the King's condition.

Announcing that Prince Harry will come and see his father, a source close to the Duke said: 'The duke did speak with his father about his diagnosis. He will be traveling to UK to see His Majesty in the coming days.'

The decision will also raise hopes of a reconciliation within the royal family.

{note article contradicts itself--headline says "TODAY" but inside article says "in the coming days"}

I haven’t heard anything about the timing of Harry’s visit. It was previously announced that he was going to be in Canada with Meghan from February 14-16 to attend an event for the Invictus Games.

oh this is not a good sign.

My guess is bladder cancer, NBC news this afternoon spent an obscene amount of time discussing his prostate procedure and then focused on biopsying the bladder, etc.,
