It is amazing how different the constellations in the S. Hemisphere look!

And I do remember when I saw the Southern Cross for the first time!

I was obsessed with astronomy & the constellations as a kid. I could go out in my yard at night, out in a rural area, with very little artificial light distraction, and see everything! It was wonderful. I even got to see Halley's comet when it passed.

When I was in College, I only used general registration 1 time in my 4 years(I could extend my summer & winter breaks for 4 days by using add/drops, gave me more time to work). And the reason why was I wanted to take Astronomy class. I always used add/drops, as I had contacts to assure I would be able to get my classes. EXCEPT for Astronomy!
