ALERT RUSSIA INVADES UKRAINE - Consolidated Thread

Are you sure about that?

#Georgian sailors refused to refuel the Russian ship The flashmob is very interesting. Every #Russian ship should hear this phrase anywhere in the world.

BWAHAHA!!

For those who don't speak Russian, at the end, the Russian ship complains that they're about to run out of fuel one more time, and
the Georgians tell them to break out the ores and start rowing.

I am genuinely surprised. That's got to be very embarrassing for Putin.

Why? So far, very little of what was expected seems to have worked out for the Russians.
If the emerging consensus from clued-in observers is valid, they've been awfully subdued from what I would've expected from their doctrines. I don't know the reason for this relatively "light touch" operation other than to minimize damage to necessary civilian infrastructure and civilian deaths.

Ukraine has overwhelmingly been winning the empathy/sympathy battle on social media for people's hearts, and that's enough reason for a cautious assessment at this point of the overall theater.

The clear implication is that this phase may be rapidly drawing to a close. Scorched earth may be coming soon; the next couple of days will be decisive. I really hope they can get peace talks going and at least a temporary truce while the negotiators discuss what will happen moving forward.

Guy1: I see, Russian crew. Guys, we refuse to fuel your ship
Russian ship: Who am I speaking to?
Guy1: You are speaking to Georgian chief mate. We will not fuel your steamer. Russian ship, go **** yourself
Guy2: ****ing occupiers
Russian ship: Guys, no politics please, we're running out of fuel
Guy1: Well if you're running out of fuel you can use...
Guy2: Paddles!
Guy1: ...paddles. Go **** yourselves. Glory to the heroes, glory to Ukraine! Glory to the heroes!

I think a NATO no fly over Ukraine territory is imminent "we must protect NATO allies as they aid Ukraine"

A NATO 'No Fly Zone' over Ukraine territory is highly unlikely.

The European part of NATO can't support logistically, a major flaw would be exposed.
Germany won't support.
Europe will be cut off from Russian oil and natural gas in winter.
Both Ukraine and Russia air defenses would be shooting at NATO aircraft.
This would allow China to bring up it's military to back Russia (and pivot to Taiwan after Russia has absorbed Ukraine.)

And this is an excellent example why every citizen MUST HAVE the right to keep and bare arms. What we're now seeing in Ukraine with over 10,000 arms being distributed to civilians is essentially putting a sniper in EVERY WINDOW the Russians face.
You're right about the excellent example of why bearing arms is crucial to liberty. This is exactly the main reason that the Founding Fathers created the 2nd amendment.

The hypocrisy out there is striking but not surprising. The people who've been clamoring for so long against us owning an AR15 (a civilian semi-automatic version of an actual select-fire military assault rifle) are leading the cheers for actual automatic rifles being distributed freely to anyone who wants one.

Is this just a huge blind spot or a "damn the hypocrisy, full speed ahead on the outrage" moment? If I understood the mentality of people like this, I could perhaps offer an answer, but I don't.

Now running for Emperor.
Not to derail (hopefully just food for thought) but I'm thinking that a few (cognizant) wanna-be tyrants in this country are digesting the effectiveness of rag-tag but determined Ukrainian citizens as we speak - in relation to their own domestic ambitions.
The Ukes have more Balls than so many of the defeatists on this board. There's a bunch of members here that I wouldn't want to share a Fighting Position with (not to worry, since they would have already tucked-tail and run)... The mothers, daughters, and grandmothers of Ukraine have put so many U.S. and European men to shame... How would you like to be a Russian soldier, and know that a goodly portion of the Hot Ukranian chicks, and their grandmothers, that you pass by, are thinking about spitting on their hands, hoisting the black flag, and immolating you and your buddies with a homebrew Molotov???

To appropriate their national battle cry: "Glory to Ukraine!"

Give 'Em Hell.

I don't think the chicoms will do much of anything until they see how things play out for russia.

Also, there is a vast amount of military intelligence data on equipment and operations coming out of Ukraine now.
It will require time for the Chinese military to absorb or adjust it's strategy for Taiwan.

China is saying it's time for Taiwan to come home. Don't think China and Russia planned all of this? China has told us Taiwan was a distraction...the US is their real target. Russia can blame the West for destroying their economy now so that's an act of war...even though war with US was the plan....

Imo, Russia could have taken all of Ukraine by now..if that was their real target...but it's not. The attack on Ukraine was a ruse.

The US is the real target.

The tactical nukes are for us. From both countries. Question is...what's the chosen attack date?

You're forgetting that the people will return those AK's, magazines, and ammunition once the Russians are driven out. No really, they will. Don't ya think? Maybe?
Hey, it could happen.

They can get some info from this. But Taiwan is a totally different situation.
It's attacking a island nation. Almost a total Naval engagement.

EndGameWW3 RetweetedMichael Weiss @michaeldweiss·57mJust spoke to a high-ranking European intelligence official who tells me Russia has "deployed several mobile cremation trucks close to its border with Ukraine."

Old news from four days ago:

Russian forces have prepared a mobile crematorium for use in any future conflict with Ukraine in what Britain’s Defence Secretary has described as “chilling”.
The MoD released footage of a vehicle-mounted crematorium with room to “evaporate” one human body at a time, which has been seen trailing Russian forces and is expected to follow any troops into Ukraine.
Ben Wallace, the Defence Secretary, suggested the use of such a system may be a way for the Kremlin to cover up any future combat losses, fearing a repeat of the criticism at home when Russia first invaded Ukraine in 2014.

I guess those Ukrain officials handing out those AK's to the citizens blows the anti 2nd Amendment haters right out of the water!! I guess that answers the question?? Why do you need a battle rifle and a 30 round magazine?
It comes back to the entitled, having never known suffering or oppression anti-gunners. That kinda stuff happens “over there.” There’s no reason Americans will ever need guns, our government is here to help us.

This whole cluster**** reminds me of the first Russian-Finnish dust up. The Russian army was pretty lousy back then, too.
Or, have the puppet masters (Soros, Schwab, Larry Fink (ceo Blackrock) Gates and others) told Putin to take a dive on this one? There's a seriously large game being played here. Just my opinion.

Side note, I think I'll hold off ordering my IR laser system from IvanTactical. Good units, good price, and I waited too long, I think.
