I believe they've been trying to work it out for months, but employers arent budging. One of their complaints are work schedules. With the freight back up, most of them have been working with no days off and on call 24/7 for more than two years.
I can’t believe they’re risking grinding this country to a halt over such piddly requests!
I mean come ON!

That schedule is ridiculous!

Why is this hard to believe?

They have intentionally poisoned huge percentage of the population with vaxx, lied about the deaths, and doubled down on the children.

They have declared war on fossil fuels. Fallowed large portion of the Agriculture production, decimated poultry with bogus bird flu PCR testing, taken water away for bait fish, etc.

WEF is dead serious about the great reset... winter is a strategic time to shut down rail.. keeps the population fixed in place without transportation to freeze and starve...

If you aren't prepped you are wrong!

Union rejects proposed labor contract with freight railroads, potential strike in coming weeks

As nationwide strike could come as soon as Dec. 5, with Congress expected to intervene.

Updated: November 21, 2022 - 10:20am

Members of the country's largest rail union on Monday rejected a proposed labor contract with freight railroads, resulting in a potential nationwide freight-rail strike amid the holiday season and Congress likely intervening to avert such a shutdown.

Two of the 12 unions involved voted Monday.

The other union, the nation's second-largest rail union, which represents engineers, ratified its own contract, according to CNN. But the deal alone will not avert a strike, which could begin as soon as Dec. 5, raising concerns about further disruptions of the U.S. supply chain and exacerbating already high inflation.

Congressional lawmakers would have to move quickly to avert a strike, considering they won’t return from Thanksgiving recess until at least Nov. 28.

The work stoppage would impact coal shipments, passenger rail service and cost the U.S. economy billions of dollars per day, according to Politico.

All 12 unions have to agree to the contract, and if just one fails to sign it, none of the others would cross a picket line, which would likely trigger an industry-wide strike.

Three of the unions in September rejected a proposed contract agreement brokered by Labor Secretary Marty Walsh – over such lingering issues including sick leave.

The unions could be at a disadvantage if the negotiations extend into January, because Republicans, who will then control the House, say they’ll impose recommendations made in August by a board appointed by President Biden that didn’t improve working conditions to the extent unions wanted, Politico also reports.

THE WOLF EVENTUALLY SHOWS UP!
It will show up at some point, but im more of a wait and see type with the hair on fire stuff anymore.
Slow and steady wins the race.

I predict no rail strike. They are considered essential will end up im arbitration to get a new contract. It has happened before. The postal service is the same. When no agreement is reached, they go to arbitration and the terms of a new agreement are determined by a panel of outsiders. Arbitration usually ends up with both sides getting a little more than they wanted on some things and a little less on others.

This is America, so both sides will get more than they wanted, and the rest of us taxpayers will get less.

To those OMGers reacting to my above post, the diesel has not run out, the trains are still running.

This goes back to a media story that there was only a 25 day supply of diesel, which was wrong. There is a 25 day buffer, or surplus, of diesel, which is not running out.

Neither here nor there.
If there was 1 death per 100 children, at today's rates there are 5.52 per 100...or some such.
No... the article is telling you the rate death rate has increased five fold...

You DO get where I was going with the 552% number, right? Your average reader is going to see that percentage and freak out and big time. Five fold doesn't sound nearly as horrific as 552% does.

If you look at what is going on with them, it isnt "piddly" requests. Remember, RR workers are very different than regular workers in any other company in the US. They do NOT get social security when they retire, they have their own plan they pay into. They do NOT get pay raises like the rest of us. They are not covered by other employment rules, which means those companies can do things very differently when it comes to time off, medical leave (and the rights that come with it) and time off.

RR workers are complaining that they work WEEKS straight without days off, they have not been able to take sick time off to care for family members or themselves who have covid or anything else without losing their jobs. They are not getting ANY time off or vacation and have had no pay raises in years.

For instance, one of the things they are asking for is the ability to be able to go to the doctor WITHOUT pay and not be fired over it. They asked for 15 days of paid sick leave a year, which was denied. They then came back and asked for ONE paid sick day, and that was DENIED, so now they are asking at least to not get fired for going to a doctor and considering their schedules could have them working 14 DAYS straight with no days off and no paid sick or vacation time.

If they get Covid, and they survive, they have lost their job.

Those requests dont seem "piddly" to me. It may inconvenience me for a bit, but for me, more power to them! They've been taken advantage of for far too long. Yes, they get paid slightly more than most people, but that pay has not kept up with cost of living and their risks are higher (like police, fire and EMS), On average, a RR worker makes $49,000 a year (engineers cane make up to 84K) and I dont think that is a huge amount considering what other people make for far less riskier occupations and those people get paid time off and sick days.

I used to do employee communications for BNSF, Kroger and Pepsi many years ago. Kroger management were lovely people to work with. Pepsi was more formal and corporate, but still pleasant, but BNSF were the nastiest and rudest people I ever dealt with on a professional level. I dreaded conference calls with them.

Since before most even paid attention to the corruption within our government the plan has been in the works. Infiltration of our city, state, and federal governments as well as media, education, medical, and entertainment by globalists that prefer socialism and communism over a Constitutional Republic is almost complete.

Those pushing the globalist agenda are always thinking three or four steps ahead while most conservatives are only thinking about the next move.

We are witnessing their final attempt to weaken America enough through division, economic collapse, medical and governmental tyranny to force acceptance of their new world order.

New world order, great reset, green new deal and a host of other terms all mean a centralized global government with a cashless systems ruled by a group of non-elected tyrannical dictators. A world where freedom and rights are no longer guaranteed but granted to the privileged few of their most loyal followers.

Populations will be reduced to controllable levels maintaining just enough subjects to keep the system going so those in power and their loyal followers can live in comfort while everyone else will barely have enough to sustain themselves.

Russia, china, and the U.S. used to be the only major obstacles to the implementation of the new world order. Now we have so many within our government who are willing to sell out their fellow countrymen that the armed citizens are the only resistance left. As far as china is concerned their government is already dictatorial but until their corrupt government officials are guaranteed a seat at the table that rules over the entire world they will resist. Russia, the last of the resistance preserves a nationalistic view that puts the interests of their country first so they will have too either be defeated or have their government infiltrated with enough globalists to fall in line with the new world order.

For those who think things are bad now you have not seen anything yet. Prepare the best you can, make alliances with those you can trust, pay attention, and never give up your firearms.

I meant their requests don’t seem too much to honor, NOT what the workers are asking for.
Sorry for the confusion.

I can sort of see the point but..... if the "average reader" can't grasp an elementary math concept, the rest of the article will be way over their head.... which is probably why so many folks are ignoring what is being done to their children. Honestly, the "average reader" should be freaking out at this.
