Cover your eyes. If it mainly spread with droplets, one of those clear face shields should go a long way toward safety inside buildings.

You should never touch the shield with your bare hands. Disinfect with hot water and soap both before and after use. N-95 mask worn with it will make you look totally on top of things. Sanitize your mouth, throat, and gut with at least 12% ETOH before bedtime.
:chg:

I told you fomites would be a thing.
I'll just stay home, but I was going to do that anyway without monkeypox. For years we've tried to make our place a peaceful, fun place we don't need a vacation from. I'm incredibly thankful for that!

The logical part of me says there's a good case for fall lockdowns. The emotional part of me says to quit being a drama queen and focus on finishing house projects while I can still get materials.

Just a reminder that you were pretty sure the Ukraine thing wasn't going to pop off. I recommend going with the logical over the emotional.

"I will bet anyone a Pepsi and a Subway (or Jersey Mike) sandwich that we aren't going to war with Russia now or during the next 5 years. This is all fake news, in my opinion."

Monkeypox case officially confirmed in Oklahoma, as Health Department monitors situation

Monkeypox is officially in Oklahoma, after the state's first "probable case," reported Friday, was then positively confirmed by health officials.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, or CDC, officially identified a case of the monkeypox virus after the state Health Department announced it was isolating a central Oklahoma resident who had returned from another country where there are confirmed cases.

Health Department spokespeople said they worked quickly to isolate the resident and contact trace those whom the patient might have exposed since reentry.

"At this time we have identified all individuals that might be at risk of contracting monkeypox from this case," said Erica Rankin-Riley, public information officer for the state Health Department. " (The Health Department) is working with the identified contacts to monitor their symptoms daily throughout their 21-day monitoring period."

A map of the United States, provided by the CDC, shows states with known cases of monkeypox as of June 10, 2022. Confirmed cases are highlighted with darker shades, and health officials are considering even one case of monkeypox (such as in Oklahoma) an outbreak.
More:Monkeypox is now in 7 states. US health officials urge awareness, not fear.

Health officials reiterated their initial comments Friday that risk to the general public is low, and the virus is not easily transmissible.

"Current, available evidence suggests that people who are most at risk for infection are those who have had direct, physical contact with someone with monkeypox while they are symptomatic," Rankin-Riley said.

Monkeypox, a less-deadly sibling of the virus that causes smallpox, has been endemic in parts of Africa for the past five decades. Since mid-May, monkeypox has been spreading across the globe, including in European and American countries.

As of June 13, at least 1,678 cases of monkeypox have been identified in 35 countries, according to the CDC. Of those confirmed cases, at least 64 are in the U.S., but the disease is so comparatively rare, authorities say, even one case is being considered an outbreak.

Monkeypox can be transmitted to humans by contact with an infected person or animal, through prolonged face-to-face contact or by direct contact with bodily fluids and contaminated materials. Early symptoms include fever, rash and swollen lymph nodes. Experts say an infected person also will begin presenting bloody, pus-filled sores called lesions.

I was reading Isaiah today and the mention of blood sacrifice made me think of this c-19 and the vaccine side effects on blood. I wonder if that is a design feature because of the importance of blood to God.

I do not want to derail into a religious discussion. But when you scratch the surface enough, world problems become a good vs evil contest.

Just random thoughts. Grist for the mill.

They will find it so by June 23.

But something has to happen to seal the deal.

The Emergency Committee of the World Health Organization is set to meet on Thursday 23rd June 2022, to assess whether the alleged monkeypox outbreak represents a public health emergency of international concern.

Large outbreak from some mass gathering, like the Queen's shindig?

That's another scary consideration. It only takes a few events to cause the herd to stampede. Look out grocery stores and gas stations! The supply chain is already a mess.
COVID shortages are so fresh in people’s minds still I agree the sheep will stampede as soon as the WHO says boo.
