I hope that we here at TB2K can all remember that we are neighbors and friends. This is a community.

Americans in 1861 got so upset over political and regional differences that they began shooting their family members, neighbors, and friends. Six hundred thousand people died. Let us say, "Never Again."

I hope that we can all overcome our various differences, come to the table together, and heal the wounds of war and economic devastation in the next four years. There are few issues that can't be resolved with diplomacy and willing hearts.

As I've said before, FL - you ever need a pint or two of A neg (with high dp serum levels) you just say the word, it's yours.

I really don't know what's gonna happen, but I do appreciate the sentiment and your sincerity.

I don't like who we have, but for the next 4 yrs, we got him, so we might as well try to stay afloat til then and remember that WE are AMERICANS, no matter who is in the WH.

And the voting map looks identical to 1860, with the exception of Florida.
Again, the people of the South are having Northern ideas crammed down their throats.
At some point, like last time, enough is enough.
This is going to be like Reconstruction II.

I hope we can all work together to heal our wounded country.

Not to take your thread off topic, but for some reason I have believed you were A neg (which explains why I've brought up my willingness to donate to you anytime you'd ever need it)

Too bad those on your side of the political spectrum didn't share this same sentiment for the last eight years...

some how I seem to make no sense of this in relation to your Location:
"The Occupied South"

this is just like a meat world "community".
I may have to TOLERATE certain neighbors but I certainly and most assuredly do NOT have to LIKE certain neighbors.

I noticed that too, and thought about the thread where they were talking about a possible CW2 where it was discussed that it would be harder this time because of no geographical lines to follow. Well-it looks like the West Coast, the north and the far north mid west are blue and the rest of us (the bigger part of the country, just not as populated) are red.

Actually FL ... I've never felt so close to my TB2K family!

I awoke this morning with a whole new perspective/mission ... excited that the 'final exam' will probably occur sooner rather than later! Scratched off the need to train with my 'walking cane' in one hand and my 'battle-rifle' in the other!

I think we all have a sense of what's coming and I would urge my friends here - no matter their past sentiments - to rally together as a force united and strong. We are, and always will be, the beacons of survival and strength for the storms that have - always - been a come'in!

Just fine tune your strategies ... the goal has never changed!

Hopefully love between and as Americans will keep us together. This isn't about race, that is a smokescreen to further usher in global-socialism. It's been coming for awhile, but now we truly stand at the crossroads. We face socialism. That does not allow for a "table"-it takes that away. If they only still taught history in school and people knew how blessed we all are in this country. It is morals that we lack as a nation and for that I fear we will dearly pay.

Yes, we are an extended family. But last night I learned that many of my extended neighbors believe in owning serfs. They believe that political power gives them the right to take by threat of force the fruits of others labors for the express purpose of giving it to those who did not earn it and do not deserve it. With that as a beginning I fear what follows. And I prepare.

Here on TB I will be adding to my ignore list. At least that way I don't have to read their "thoughts".

DEPLORABLE ME
I plan on being every bit as "tolerant" and "loving" as the Bush-haters have been these last 8 years.

Rather than the endless "monkey-boy" and "shrub" type comments, be prepared for YEARS of the obamanation and whatever else we feel is appropriate.
Lets see how well you Bush-haters can take your own tactics. Wonder how long it will be before you start proclaiming "racism" etc.
Ah, wait, you've ALREADY started that with every negative comment about the obamanation...

I totally agree with FL that we need to put this election behind us and move forward together - helping each other through a future that would not have been easy for either candidate.

But, I am also concerned about the lessons learned in this election...

Mob mentality at the voting booths
Illegal stuffing of the ballot boxes and voter registration
Huge amounts of money used to fund a campaign
Keeping vital documents under lock and key
And the MSM's obvious lack of integrity

If Obama is as good as all of his supporters believe he is - then why did he (or his supporters) have to stoop to these levels and, since these tactics obviously worked - we are headed down a slipperly slope of stealing the next election too.

My issues with the current regime were personal (which I freely admit) as well as policy-based. I feel that Bush divided the country with the Iraq War and his "homeland security" policies. We have neighbors spying on neighbors now.

I would be saying this same thing if McCain had won. My complaint against McCain is on policy, not personal. I have tremendous respect for the man as an American hero and a public servant. He spilled blood for this country, and is entitled to say anything he wants to, anywhere he wants to, so far as I'm concerned. I thought his policy would be more of the Bush Same, and that was my sole issue against the man as a president.

The hatred of the last weeks shocked me to the core. I have NEVER seen such a nasty campaign. I hope to see people move past this in the coming weeks. The country is in great pain at the moment and solutions must be found to ensure its healing.

Me too, the hatred shown against a white conservative woman that doesn't tow the city libtard line WAS INDEED shocking.

As were the non-stop attempts to shut up all debate about whether the obamanation is even a qualified candidate.

That hatred bought and paid for an ACOR- elected Marxist baby killer.

Shame on all the liberal haters. How long will it be before they start shoving the "fairness doctrine" down our throats so we don't get to hear the other side, huh?

That's a very nice thought Fruit Loop, it seriously is.

The problem that we have however is that we have divided ourselves into two broad groups, those that still adhere to the principles and tenets that this country was founded on and those who believe basically the opposite. A coming together can and will only be achieved when the faction that has surrendered to socialist 'ideals' realizes that they have been lead astray and once again comes back to the ideals of personal freedom. Until that time a coming together is impossible and there will remain an undercurrent of hate and distrust that will eventually flare into open conflict as two sides that hold opposite views cannot co-exist forever.

One side must win and one side must lose and for the United States that side must, must be the side that values freedom.

No one knows who they have really elected. They have projected their own dreams upon him, given him attributes they admire but not what his are, and interpreted his words in line with their own perceptions. I can agree with FL that we need this family, this community and her heartfelt wishes for it to draw together. But nationwide? How long can deception abide?

One more note, with your patience . . . say what you want to about McC or Bush, they have shown Class with a capital C last night and today. Gracious and supportive - I have seen no signs of anger or hate such as the past two elections have elicited by Hollywood or the MSM - or even the TB2K family members here. They have offered congratulations and pledges of assistance and support, with dignity and class, for a smooth and peaceful transition of power. How American is that?

I pray for my country, that Prez Obama is not as far left as some fear and as others hope. I am truly proud that a man of color has taken the helm of the ship of state. He would not be my choice, but this is the time for him and his followers to stand and deliver. Let me see by your actions that he is a uniter while safeguarding our individual rights and responsibilities.

I pray that the uniqueness of America, and what it has had to offer, does not go by the wayside to be just another collection of interest groups out for their own, and nevermind the country as a whole. I believe that socialism is fundamentally counter to the values that this country was founded upon, and which they worked so hard to avoid: That the singular values enforced by a sovereign head of state is no less odious than the tyrrany of any govt enforcing the values of a collective.

Amen.

Conrad, feel free to search all my posts. The only thing I ever said about Sarah Palin was that I didn't understand all the fuss about a woman most people hadn't heard of until she was nominated for VP....and for a woman who was running FOR VP, not president.

You will also find a number of posts where I defended her family members. The attacks made on her daughter, future-son-in-law, and infant son were despicable.

Here is the bright side. In the future, there will be no justification for groups, calling themselves "underprivileged" in the past, to complain or blame other groups for their predicament. The representative has been elected specifically to address their concerns and raise them higher on the economic scale. If he fails to do that--fails to pay for their gas, their mortgages, higher education for everyone--at least the rest of the population cannot be blamed with any degree of credibility. That would be a nice change.

Precisely.

Blue America elected a candidate that openly espouses doctrine antithetical to the very foundations of this country. Screw him. I did not go to war for him or anyone who voted for him, and I HATE the fact that he will be my new Commander in Chief.

I agree.

Dirty liberals don't believe in diplomacy. You walk to their side they break your leg. You reach out across the isle and they break your arm. Compromise to them means they always get their way.

From post #1: sounds nice, yet are just empty words. How many millions have died when they didn't agree with a dirty liberal leader; 50-60 million?
