DALLAS — A patient diagnosed with Ebola in Dallas on September 30 has died, according to officials from Texas Health Presbyterian Dallas.
Thomas Eric Duncan was admitted to the hospital on September 28.
More details to come.

And they couldn't even let his son say goodbye via skype.......
I suspect the body was in no condition to be viewed.
I think the Israeli report was right. He died over the weekend and they just got their ducks in a row to report it.
I still think he died Sunday, per Israeli news link. I think this was a cover up and Israel exposed it as a payback to the Kenyan.
My guess is he was gone on Sunday as reported by that Israeli news site. They just needed time to get stories in line and use other news stories (not related to ebola) to help tamp down the noise. Plus people are busy with work and school now that it's mid-week.
Wonder why he didn't get the medications the white doctors got?? (sarcasm)

Ebola patient's son stopped at hospital doors

In a statement, the hospital said it was "standard with hospital patients who are unable to make decisions on their own" for a representative to make "decisions about patient access and communications."
"The hospital offered for the patient's son to see his father through Skype tonight," said the statement, adding that Karsiah "decided to wait until tomorrow." (maybe he decided or maybe someone decided for him)

On a side note............the dow was in the red all morning till this was reported........now green...ummm
I suspect that, as well.
My mother was on a ventilator at the end of life. She was gone, for all purposes, but they kept her going until we could all be there.
I recognize that Thomas Duncan is a very different case, but you wonder if they kept him going for family, or for some other purpose.

Most likely they will incinerate him.You wonder what they're going to do with that body. From what I've read, he's now more contagious than at any time during his life.
The "viral load" shortly after death is off the charts, and officials suspect that Ebola has spread due to African rituals of tending to the dead and sometimes giving them a kiss. Ikc.
Are they going to call a funeral home? Who's going to want to pick up that body???
"Our professionals, the doctors and nurses in the unit, as well as the entire Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas community, are also grieving his passing."

I have wondered if it were not to assess their new experimental drug (brincidofovir) on a human. they began giving it to him on the 6th. The cameraman in Nebraska is also reportedly receiving it.
Probably, but there is still the issue of transport from the hospital to the cremmatorium.

Grieving my *ss. Probably relieved to not have to risk their lives anymore on his behalf.
I bet they are way more terrified of being next than they are relieved.
That too---but I doubt anyone in that hospital is grieving.
