VIDEO Boots on the ground thread - Southern Prepper 1

This man's videos may be the most frightening of them all that get posted on this forum.

What stood out on this one was the grocery workers in Massachusetts stating that $14 an hour doesn't cover the living expenses (not at all surprising) and that they can't get even the minimum amount of people to operate the grocery store. The sh*t isn't going to hit the fan, it's just going to grind to a halt.
Where I live in mass 17 or 20 doesn’t cut it. You have to make a Minimum of 25 to get by. And not ahead.

He said how many reports he has been given of people surrendering their pets to shelters as they can no longer afford to care for them are increasing weekly. Tragic…
I can remember when I was an LEO in the mid 70’s to mid 80’s, during the last economic inflation period, we were overwhelmed with Vietnamese boat people and abandoned pets were almost non existent, especially for those Vietnamese who had hibachi grills on their patios.

It may come down to that unfortunately. One of my preps is dog food and I have more than a years worth put away just in kibble let alone people food supplements. I will make sure that she always has food.

Where I live the animal shelter charges about $35 to drop off stray animals. My daughter had 3 dogs dumped at her house, she already has 3. It was over $100 to deliver the strays to the shelter.
Worth it to help out the dogs, if a person has the funds. Good for her.

Dog food is getting stupid expensive - makes me think my old girls did me a favor this spring by checking out from old age. Now it's just the one pup, and her food is pricey, but only for one.

The vet bills for exams, vaccs and preventatives have been staggering though. Spay surgery coming next. Just the price of having a dog, and mine would eat if I eat, but I can see why folks have to make hard choices. Do wish they'd all act responsibly though.

How in the hell are these people surviving if they refuse to work? I don't get it....

- loans from relatives and friends that won't get paid back
- maxed out credit cards
- "pirate" lifestyle (steal whatever they can)
- couch surfing

A few have an inheritance that they are rapidly burning through.

One thing I see some 20-somethings doing: one of them with good credit rents a house and 6-8 of them actually move in. They all work at some crap job a few hours each week or steal enough to pay their share of the rent/utilities. If they get too far behind, they leave and do it again with another member on the lease.

In any case, I avoid people like this. It's not limited to 20-somethings. I know 60-somethings
who are basically living on whatever people will give them.

Added: this is also why I downsized to a very small condo. It makes it a lot less likely that freeloaders will want to move in. My not having cable, fast Internet, or lots of money puts a damper on their enthusiasm.

All of these staffing shortages, the fed $ has stopped some time ago. How in the hell are these people surviving if they refuse to work? I don't get it....
I own a domestic staffing agency in Miami. You would not believe how hard it is to find Nannies and housekeepers to fill jobs. I used to have 10-15 candidates applying for a job, now I’m lucky if I can send 5 to send to interview. I don’t know how these people are staying alive. The average cost for a 1 bedroom apartment in a decent neighborhood down there is,well over $1500. It’s gotten so bad that families are having to pay well above $30 per hour for a nanny or housekeeper.

There really IS a lot more petty crime happening everywhere

Also, gov't is much more lax these days on quals for SSDI disability. Gawd knows..if you just count mental disability/dysfunction, there's a LOT of 'em out there and new ones minted every day.

Our daughter-in-law who manages a Burger King and has a horrible time getting and keeping employees, tells us that what she hears from them is that they are getting food stamps and then selling them.

Now I get it. He's a news compiler-very close to what Drudge used to be-except this is more like a podcast. Very smart and innovative thinking. He get's reports from all over the place because he is legit' and we all know it. Many people follow him because they get "up to the minute" info about lots of things.

He gets past .gov reporting with the real stuff-that's why it's boots on the ground. Pretty smart IMHO.

He's definitely on my go to list. I appreciate the thread to keep all info in one place.

Evening report run time 11:22

he mentions the pharmacy (9.12min) computer died, recently.

just like my pharm here 2 weeks ago.

even now, they have NO records of ANYBODY, after march last yr.

took over a week to get the comp back to 'somewhat' functional.

not to mention the drugs just not coming in with an order.

mine (pain meds) was delayed 10 days,

then, they gave 1 week supply.

10 days later they filled scrip.

I worry about the folks with pshycho meds.

they cant wait 10 days.

why are all the nekkid folks who go off their meds, always, old fat guys?

why not a nice 20 yr old lady? :shr:

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know where this guy is located? Not that it matters. I'd just like to know. Wish I had time to watch all the posted videos, but I don't. From the ones I have watched, I like him. I don't think he is deliberately giving out any false info, but there is no way to know whether some people are calling in claims that aren't true or are shaded a bit.
