Got this a few minutes ago via PM. Couple this post with the announcement today that Pakistan is shutting down their airspace...

Kinda scares me but can't panic. Will admit I am a little nervous as I wasn't able to purchase gas masks or suits etc. due to finances. May the Lord keep you and yours safe.

A few minutes ago as I was searching the forum prep links for a well pump, I received an Instant Message from a friend in NJ. Her folks live about 15 minutes away from her. Her step brother is in areonautics at the Pentagon and advisor to the Bush adm. He had just called his mom and dad and said, "get all the cash you can together, make sure you have lots of water and the gas tanks are full on the car". Do it NOW! I cannot say anything more, but trust me. Do it now!"

Thats all I know and the only thing I can say is that I know this woman and she wouldn't tell me BS. They are not doomers but they do stay prepared and were prepped for Y2K. She was headed out for the grocery store and to pick up the 4 year old at preschool. I realize there's not much you can do with this info except keep your eyes open and powder dry.

I would suggest that if this guy has something, a lot of guys have something and it will be on Drudge in about 20 minutes. Better watch.

If you live in a city (especially NYC and DC) it would be wise to prepare a bug-out bag and plan for a quick escape.

BB beat me to it...I was about to post that many of us cannot run or get at our money easily, and I am in the DC area. My brother is in Brooklyn. So let us pray for ALL people across the nation who may be struck with something terrible soon and cannot run, that they be protected by the mighty Hand of God upon and over them.

Prayer has turned aside many an evil deed and enemy of God throughout history. Let us pray.

I'm trying to hunt down an article regarding India's indignation at our being in Pakistan...they don't like it and have threatened a disruption in relations with us. If anyone finds that article, or knows where it is, I would like directions to it..a link, or even the article itself...maybe that has something to do with the change of heart with Pakistan.

Tensions in Afghanistan and Pakistan are beginning to spill over into Kashmir, the disputed territory between India and Pakistan. But Washington will continue to support the government in Islamabad, which could spell trouble for the blooming strategic dialogue between India and the United States.

The increased diplomatic, economic and military ties between the United States and Pakistan will strain Washington's relatively young strategic relationship with India.

The ruling party in New Delhi appears to understand the short-term nature of the U.S. shift toward Islamabad. But it will be hard pressed to maintain its pro-U.S. position under increasing domestic pressure.

The United States and India recently began exploring military and strategic cooperation after decades of cool relations. During the Cold War, the United States heavily supported India's archrival Pakistan while New Delhi kept close ties with Moscow.

But a new relationship began forming with former U.S. President Bill Clinton's visit to India in 2000 and extended this year to the planned visit of U.S. Gen. Henry Shelton, outgoing chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. Shelton's visit was formally aimed at restoring military ties between the two countries.

The motivation for this shift was largely due to Washington's rising strategic concern with China. Many Indian officials already consider Beijing to be New Delhi's largest threat, which is why Washington was seen as a natural ally.

But tactical needs following the Sept. 11 attacks forced the United States to refocus on its relationship with Pakistan. Pakistan has better connections and influence with the Taliban than any country in the region and can offer logistical support and air space for a possible U.S. strike against Afghanistan

In exchange for Pakistan's cooperation, and to keep the government from falling into the hands of fundamentalists, Washington recently dropped sanctions against the country and is in deep negotiations on economic aid, military cooperation and debt restructuring.

At the same time, the United States politely refused India's offers for port access for U.S. warships and basing agreements for U.S. aircraft. Both sides know the refusal isn't personal but that it is meant to appease militant Pakistanis who fear a plot between Washington and New Delhi to dominate the region.

Recent statements from India's ruling Hindu nationalist Bharatiya Janata Party, think-tanks and newspaper editorials all acknowledge that U.S. attention to Pakistan in the short term does not necessarily preclude a long-term strategic relationship between Washington and India. But the strain on U.S.- Indian ties will intensify as the situation in Kashmir explodes.

The disputed territory is another hot spot that is near and dear to Pakistan's extremist Islamic population, which wants to see Kashmir fully independent from India. Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf has been accused in the past of using Kashmir as a political safety valve, encouraging militant Pakistanis to fight the Indian security forces there rather than to focus their anger at the regime in Islamabad.

As the conflict in Afghanistan intensifies, Musharraf is likely to use similar tactics to preserve his government and bolster his credentials among extremist Muslims angered by his cooperation with the United States. On the other hand, continued violence in Kashmir or in the Indian heartland will undermine the already low credibility of India's government.

The ruling coalition is still reeling from a series of scandals, ranging from the resignation of the defense minister, amid accusations of corruption, to revelations of stock-market rigging and major losses in India's state-run mutual fund. Opinion polls in August also showed that Vajpayee's personal popularity ratings have plummeted.

Despite Vajpayee's move toward the United States, neither the Congress Party, India's largest opposition party, nor the smaller Marxist parties are fans of a strategic relationship with Washington, and both will push Vajpayee to end his dialogue with America.

Vajpayee's best hope is that a combination of U.S. covert military action and Afghan factional politics will keep the region relatively calm. This would take the pressure off Musharraf and keep militants out of Kashmir. But as Afghanistan explodes and Pakistan faces large-scale unrest, India's government will jettison its public relationship with Washington to salvage its own future, delaying meaningful U.S.-Indian cooperation for years.

any websites reporting this anthrax?

my son in law is in the cattle biz...there was anthrax in texas this summer..generally it stays localized. Is there a difference between this fla. outbreak and the one in texas?

I am totally dependant on the web for news other than radio, and right now, pbs is playing sleeper music...local stations like to keep hot and bothered dreaming about pretty cowgirls and playing cowboy music.... :(

As far as I can tell there is ONE isolated case of Anthrax at this time in Florida. IF there are more then one I think it's time to worry...

Until then... Watch the wire, be prudent and relax... There is enough time to panic later after it's all over and done with....

It always starts with ONE...

Let's HOPE and PRAY this really is a naturally occuring, isolated event...our ONE for the year.

Here's my guess on what's up...

I beileve there is a lot of action right now going on behind the scenes in D.C. because of a suspected possible outbreak of Anthrax in Florida

The use of a bio weapon on the US means the rules of engagement change in the Afghan theater...major shift in what we *will* use if this is indeed a bio attack...Pentagon is actively adjusting plans

Also, major move to "control" information coming out of Florida and confirm that this is an isolated event...need to control possible panic, etc. and not rush and act irrationally.

Possible call up of additional National Guard and reserves to deal with possible Martial Law imposed upon south of US to contain threat being considered

Just guesses...but my sense is TPTB are buying time.

It takes awhile for symptoms to show up after an Anthrax attack...this guy with Anthrax could be the top of a huge pyramid...

Hope I'm wrong.

I hate to say it, but I do think we are going to see more and more of this all over. It will be a form of terrorism from TPTB to intimidate the masses and keep them in line. People will be afraid to say ANYTHING...make everyone fearful and suspicious of each other, fear of being turned in for making suspicious comments...remember the guy who got turned in by his neighbors in Kalif..that dead guy? The one they killed in his own home? The one whom his neighbors "suspected" of having the nerve to like guns?

I think it will get to where ANY hint of dissatisfaction or criticism of our gov will result in severe repercussions with "suspicion of terrorist" charges thrown at one, so they can hold you in jail the rest of your life, no court, no due process, no innocent till proven guilty...and when the antiterrorist package expires in 2 years, they will simply get an extension....

this is some BAD $h1t we have coming down. The dead will be grateful I'm afraid.

We are at War. We are are all potential targets and potential combatants. It's not pleasant, but it is true. This was forced on us by OBL and his buddies. Hang tight and be strong.

The so called second wave, next wave or pre-positioned attack is nothing compared to what OBL and his buddies are going to get when we hit them. Anything else they do will only add to the ferocity of what they'll get from us.

Nothing they have experienced in this life has prepared them for what their about to get either. Can you imagine standing at your post and watching your friends die one by one and never seeing an enemy.

So, if the brown stuff is heading for the blades here, I know the jerks in turbans are going to get it soon.

Dennis, this may ease your mind. The people in that "world" who actually know what's going on are so professional (brainwashed?) that they wouldn't reveal anything to their own wives and children. And, anyone who is privy to classified information who uses an unsecure line to convey information that's even sensitive, much less classifed, is subject to be thrown in jail. "Ten years; ten thousand dollars" is the old saying.

So, as has been suggested, the information "from the Pentagon," if it's real, was probably somebody way, way down on the food chain who was vaguely aware of "something" and panicked.

There's a lot of disinformation in war. And, you may have noticed that we've been within "hours" of attacking for about two weeks.... says Blair, says Drudge, says the Northern Alliance, says "Pentagon sources." In the meantime, Afghanistan is disintergrating from within. Now... that looks like THE plan to me.

Thanks for the post. It is very noteworthy and folks should take heed.

Let me put some more disturbing thoughts out for critical analysis.

For the last week we have had the most beautiful natural clear blue sky one could possibly imagine.

This morning I took my dogs out to walk around 8 a.m. est.

This sky was full of massive numbers of chemtrails forming X's. The sky looked pitifully sick with the dripping chemtrails and the spreading out of them to turn the entire sky to a milky white. Unlike most of the previous sprayings I have seen here in Atlanta which were all day but not heavy.....this was so massive. By the way, I have been watching the sky and chemtrails for three years now....kinda know patterns and times, etc. This morning was noticable because it was time limited. They sprayed only for a couple of hours this morning...then the spraying stopped and perfectly clear sky came back.

We have planes aplenty in the air for days now with absolutely NO Chemtrails being laid down.

There are some possiblilities about this mornings event that have me perturbed after reading your post.

1. There is a cold/rain front coming this weekend. It could be that this is to dry up the rain but don't really think so because of the short duration.... or

2. It could have been some kind of contaminate.

I am concerned and have got all the water containers filled as well as the gas tank...

Unfortunately, I don't have a gas mask.

Hey dreamseer- I am in Atlanta too and still haven't seen a chemtrail. I am one of those that believes without seeing however. I have so many pine trees around my place that it is hard to even catch a plane going overhead.

Join the club- I don't have a gasmask either.
