It's IN Louisiana.Memphis was a no brainer,
But what is so bad about Turkey Creek, Louisiana?

Dayton is a total hole. I was there a few weeks ago for the first time in a long while and it was total trash. I didn’t feel safe for 1 minute and even heard gunshots across the road from the field my daughter was playing soccer on. I won’t be going back there any time soon. UgghhhOh, of course Ohio's worst city is Dayton. I can't stand Dayton. I hate driving through it. But then, just about every big city in Ohio is trash. Cincinnati used to be nice. I don't think it is anymore.
Albany is horriblePersonally, I believe Atlanta is the worse city in GA, although Albany is really awful according to a friend from there.
Yep. They got it right with Jackson. It's a cesspool. I even stopped going to the gun shows in Jackson because, in addition to it being a long drive, I didn't even feel safe leaving my truck in the parking lot. Anyone whose driven through - or even around - Jackson knows that the streets look like something out of a demolition derby. They hit the mark with Jackson being the worst in Mississippi. Southaven, MS is almost as bad. It's just a city extension of Memphis across the state line.

In addition to having skyrocketing crime, a leftist, incompetent black administration, and deteriorating infrastructure, they can't even keep the water and sewer systems working. If Jackson wasn't the state capitol - which means that it gets at least some state support - I think the whole place would implode and turn into a black hole, with an especially malevolent form of gravity sucking everything into it!

Fortunately it isn't very big and many surrounding areas are pretty nice. Like Oakwood, former home of NCR. Fairborn, home of Wright-Patt AFB, is kinda-sorta nice in spots, old and shabby in others.Dayton is a total hole. Cedar Rapids, IA is tons better than it used to be. My votes: Waterloo, Keokuk, and Burlington are all tons worse.
Cairo, IL still got peoples in it?
Chrissie says otherwise.Fortunately it isn't very big and many surrounding areas are pretty nice. Like Oakwood, former home of NCR. Fairborn, home of Wright-Patt AFB, is kinda-sorta nice in spots, old and shabby in others.
We live about halfway between Dayton and Middletown. Hometown of Hillbilly Elegy author Senator JD Vance. Which is also a pretty crappy city.
Our area is fabulous by comparison. We love it here. And in Butler Co. you have the awesome Sheriff Richard Jones, so that's something to be proud of. My son lives in Chillicothe, which is not so nice (I'm trying to get him to leave), but much better than neighboring Portsmouth. Ohio isn't so bad; it depends on where you are.
You obviously have never lived in Louisiana, Brack…It's IN Louisiana.
Yeah, but they have a great half marathon race in December every year…Everybody in Arkansas knows Crime Bluff is the worst city in the state. It rivals Chicago.
I second Sioux City.Sioux City, IA... and there's a reason we call cedar rapids cheddar rapids because when you drive into town, headed east on HWY 30 it smells like cheddar cheese.
Cairo caught my eye too. Definitely a good pick for worst.Cairo, IL still got peoples in it?
Yep. But never, ever go to Wasilla Alaska - day or night. Ever. They got that one right…Best to just avoid the whole Mat-Su Valley while you’re at it.
I'd be armed to the teeth. Wouldn't surprise me if they tried to steal your shoes while you're running.Yeah, but they have a great half marathon race in December every year…
About 6 years ago we drove through Cairo, IL and there was all kinds of activity, traffic. A cop had a car pulled over and there were businesses open. We drove through Cairo again like 2 years ago and I am not exaggerating, it was a literal ghost town. No traffic, no open businesses.Cairo, IL still got peoples in it?
I think that she was being sarcastic.I think if given the choice as to which is worse, I would put Nenana as worse than Wasilla any day of the week.
They don't call it Los Anchorage for no reason. It's the big town in Alaska and so strays tend to drift there. Juneau is too isolated or it'd be overrun, and Fairbanks is a tough place to live if a person is indigent. Some of the outlying villages in the bush are pretty rustic. She needs to be packing at all times.
I have never lived in Anchorage but have been there a lot when we lived in Alaska.
I would never live there but then I would never live in a city either but for reference on crime rate here are a few statistics
As chance has it, I seem to have spent time in every one of those cities in the Lower 48. Do I have the misfortune of hitting all the bad spots or did I leave wreckage and ruin in my wake when I visited those places?Turns out, for Michigan, it's Flint, which isn't much of a surprise. So what say you, residents of the various states? Did they call it?
Since Scranton Joe threw the border open, you are now likely to get shot while driving down the street in Scranton for not speaking Spanish, not having one of the new Spanish-language radio stations blaring or not throwing the right Latino gang signs.Using what metrics?
Camden NJ is a dump there are worse areas.
Scranton PA, it's a dump but your not getting shot for driving down the wrong street while white.
It's clear, that you are the sole cause of America's present decline. As chance has it, I seem to have spent time in every one of those cities in the Lower 48. Do I have the misfortune of hitting all the bad spots or did I leave wreckage and ruin in my wake when I visited those places?
Camden by far over Newark. Newark is at least semi-functional on a day-to-day basis. Camden is a non-functional crap hole on its very best days.NJ? First thought was Newark.
Just remember, Obama Care redefined "children" to include 18-25 year olds, including in medical statistics. So saying "over 40 children have been treated for GSW" includes a lot of gangbangers who are obviously trying not to live to their 26th birthday.Since New Years Day, 2024 over 40 (43-44 I think) children ( that's not teens ot 'tweens but children) have been treated for GSW.
There was not a 100% survival rate.
There's bigger places with more population but I submit the overall winner of the worst, most corrupt and violent shit hole in America title is good old Memphis TN.
I should have picked up on that. :-(I think that she was being sarcastic.
