Said it before: all these woke, multiculturalists can collectively KMRCRA - SORT OF KISS MY GRITS BUT LESS POLITE.

Horrible sentiment for Christmas I know but these sort of people bring out the worst in me. Just something else I can't forgive them for - something else I'll have to answer for anon.

Neither here nor there.
Oddly my wife brought this up a few days ago. We made a quick trip to Kroger and as we were driving out of the lot she said I blew past the red kettle like it was infected w/ something.
I explained SA wanted all white donors to apologise sincerely for being white.

Not sure I've ever seen such a look of incredulity on anyone's face.

The CEO is too damned stupid to realize that the majority of their donors are white.

2022, donations down 30%

2023, I'm seeing reports of a 15-20% shortfall and their big donation time isn't over.

Most reports are regional, couldn't find anything for national totals.

Every one of them has some excuses, not one touches on the big problem.

So, I'm supposed to apologize for being created by God as a white person??? No one needs to apologize for the color of their skin. If anyone is hateful towards others (regardless of color) then they need to apologize.

This will mark the first time I do not drop money into the little red bucket.

I came out of the grocery store today and the bell-whacker had a pretty glum look on his face and seemed like nobody was detouring to stuff something in his pot. I know I didn't.
At a walmart the other day a late teen, early 20's girl was sitting behind the bucket, with her earphones in, no dinging the bell.

Leaving Walmart today, there was a black lady bell ringer, wearing her gov't covid mask, standing at the door, I didn't give her the time of day

One thing that really pisses me off is that Cary and I have given a large donation every year at Christmas, and have given donations to them off and on throughout the year. We were getting ready to make that donation again this year. We've been doing this for many years. Now, they come out and slap us in the face? What an insult! I feel betrayed. I think I'm going to tell them how I feel the next time I see a bell ringer.
The bell ringers have no clue and are "volunteers". Usually the "volunteer" are people being helped out by S.A. and have to sign up to ring the bell. Lecturing a "volunteer" is like yelling at the cashier at a gas station because the price of gasoline shot up. They have nothing to do with it. I believe SA has been overtaken by liberals in the last 20 years and now being turned into another social program as did YMCA. My great grandmother was a proud "SA general". We as a family have given for 3 generations but not any longer. I rather give to a single mom working and raising kids. Sad to see Salvation Army become woke. They left Jesus a long time ago. Omg, I just realized this post was from 2 years ago. Always late to the party. ;0p

I support my local Salvation Army directly. They have an excellent track record of not being woke.

There is a Salvation Army right across the road from my husband’s workplace. Apparently their wokeness has reached new heights and he came home and told me to never send another dime to their organization.

I was like, dude. They haven’t got a red penny from us for the past 3 years or so. Not since the year they dropped some of the conservative organizations they were backing in favor of more progressive groups.

Just playing devil's advocate but the cost of some X & YouTube shouldn't be all that high.

Something titled "Helping Salvation recenter it's compass, Chapter 1 " and so forth.

All the add revenue, click income could be theirs when their leadership recanted their Bull Crap

We need to apologize for the millions of inventions the white race made - and didn't share.

How selfish we have been.

At least we are being punished now.

We have a local family that has hit hard times with very little income. That's who we've been giving our extra money to. I walk on by the SA kettles with my head held high. Don't need to and won't give to them no more.

Day before yesterday I forgot they went "woke" supporting degenerates in their "cause" and I dropped a twenty in the kettle. GOD forgive me.
No more, if I can just remember who is "woke."
Same here. I put $5 into the kettle a couple days ago yet I knew there was a reason I shouldn't do that but couldn't put my finger on it. Now I remember, so never again.

That's what I do with my old SA donation now. And it's fun watching a waitress pick up her tips from a table, see a twenty when expecting a dollar or so.
DONATE LOCALLY! Small donations really help the individuals you are around every day.
Yes, definitely the better choice to help directly rather than contribute to a bureaucracy.

Finally not a lurker!
Salvation Army must have thought my money was racist too.

I give multiple times of the year during various holiday times to the MS/AL region and as hurricanes, floods, etc happen for specific events across the US.

When I donated mid November, it popped up a survey before transaction was completed that I had never seen before. It asked my race, a couple other questions and the last one was basically would I apologize for being white; my answer was "no". (don't remember exact wording)

My donation went thru and was accepted and then I got a notice that my credit card had been rejected. ok, weird.
I did it two more times and they were rejected.

I called my credit card company. I had made five or six donations to other groups that day and thought maybe the card had been flagged. My card had not been flagged. She said the first two donation attempts had indeed been accepted by SA and then voided/rejected by SA and that the third attempt had not been accepted at all by Salvation Army.

On November 28, the national SA sent me an email. (see below; bold is mine)
They shouldn't have cancelled my donation if the claims were false. The only thing I had done was refuse to apologize for being white in the survey. No other explanation for them not accepting my donation. I have made donations for almost 40 years.

Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas

This special time of year is a welcome reminder of the things we are grateful for—and for the power of service on behalf of those who are less fortunate. Without your support of time and generosity, The Salvation Army would not be able to serve 30 million people each year who are in need.

Despite that good work, you may be aware of some recent attacks on The Salvation Army that misrepresent our beliefs on race and racism. Some individuals and groups have attempted to mislabel our organization to serve their own agenda(s). They have claimed that we believe our donors should apologize for their skin color, that The Salvation Army believes America is an inherently racist society, and that our organization has abandoned its beliefs for one ideology or another.

We wanted you to hear from The Salvation Army directly that those claims are false, and they distort the very goal of our work. We invite you to read The Salvation Army's full response to these claims
here.

You can be sure that, despite these false claims, we remain undeterred in our mission because vulnerable Americans need our help—and yours. We remain deeply grateful for the support of a generous public—people from all walks of life and from all parts of the country—who help us meet human need wherever it exists. God bless you, and Happy Holidays.
They are in a hole. They should stop digging.
