#BREAKING: With a closer examination of crashed #Israeli missiles found in #Iraq, it has now been determined that they are Rafael ROCKS air-launched ballistic missiles. It shows that F-16I Sufa strike fighters were participants of the airstrike at #Iran. I have attached catalogue of the missile here.

Pro-Hamas representatives @RashidaTlaib and @CoriBush offered an amendment to the current aid bill that prevents any aid from being provided to Israel until Hamas releases the hostages.

Yes, you read that right. Hamas would get a veto over US aid as long as they hold hostages.

Isn't that BACKWARDS?

That no aid should be given to GAZA until HAMAS releases the hostages?

................not that there are any hostages TO release, any more................. :(

I thought it was an American attack on that base. I read it earlier in the thread just a few posts back. Need confirmation. I would think it was Israel, though.
yes, it's been reported that it was American attack by some, and an Israeli attack, by others.
at this time, both countries are denying credit.

- I was disinclined to believe it was american, personally, at the time o' the post, as indicated by the emoji I used- but who knows who's mopping up over there eh.

We are aware of reports claiming that the United States conducted airstrikes in Iraq today. Those reports are not true. The United States has not conducted air strikes in Iraq today.

Here we go …

The Iraqi militias have started a narrative, blaming or implicating America in the attack, saying:

The aircraft that bombed Babylon in Iraq took off from Base Tower 22 in the Rukban area, northeast of Jordan, near the Jordanian-Syrian border.

Previously, Iraqi militias (Kata'ib Hezbollah) killed 3 American soldiers near Tower 22 on the Jordanian-Syrian border.

Through this narrative, they are including that they will return to target and attack the American bases in Syria.

Everything that happens in Israel, Iraq, Lebanon and Syria, is because of Khamenei’s regime!

1) #Israel fired 3 missiles in a limited attack meant to be a warning to #Iran

Iran decided to end the escalation ladder by not acknowledging the attack.

Israel used a secret air-launched missile of the Sparrow family with 2 stages and a fairly long range.

The first stage of 2 missiles were found in Iraq.

In 2013, Rafael, which makes the Sparrow targets, tested the latest version, dubbed Silver Sparrow. This two-stage version was designed to simulate Iranian Shahab-3 class ballistic missiles with a 1,500-2,000 kilometer range and can notably carry a live high-explosive warhead.

And in 2019, Rafael unveiled an air-launched ballistic missile dubbed Rocks, which was apparently based on the Black Sparrow, the earliest version of the target missile family.

At the time, the Israeli defense company didn’t disclose the range of Rocks. However, it said that the missile has “a very significant standoff range” and “a high-velocity trajectory towards the target.”

Rafael also produces the Blue Sparrow version, which is size wise in the middle between the Silver Sparrow and the Black Sparrow.

Rocks missile is made up of a single stage. This means that the missiles used in the attack on Iran were based either on the Silver Sparrow or more likely on a secret, modified version of the Blue Sparrow, whose size is more comparable to the remains found in Iraq. These two types are typically deployed from F-15 fighter jets.

Isfahan air base is located more than 1,000 kilometers away from Israel. However ,it is unlikely that Israeli F-15 fighter jets launched from within the country’s airspace.

A series of Israeli strikes that targeted radar and air defense sites in southern Syria around the same time as the attack on Iran and the fact that the missiles’ first stage were found in central Iraq indicate that Israeli F-15 fighter jets launched their missiles from some area along the border between Syria, Jordan and Iraq. Thus, the range of the secret Israeli missile could be around 800 kilometers.

The attack on Isfahan, home to several key nuclear facilities, was not apparently meant to cause damage to the air base, but rather to send a message to Iran that the Israeli military can strike deep in its territory.

However, in doing so Israel exposed one of its top secret capabilities and provided Iran with an example of the tactics it will use during an all-out conflict.

Note: I used some background info from the SouthFront organization.

DRONE STRIKE TARGETS EILAT, ISRAEL, IN RESPONSE TO PMF STRIKES

The Islamic Resistance in Iraq:

"We targeted with drones a vital target in Eilat, southern Israel - The attack is a response to the Zionist enemy’s violation of Iraqi sovereignty and its targeting of the PMF headquarters."

However, an Israeli official denies any involvement in recent explosions reported in Iraq.

Two things I'd be doing this evening.

If I were in Europe, I'd watch the prevailing winds and I'd turn my radmeter on. If "nothing" happened, my guess is; the leaks from the "nothing happened" wil be in western Europe within 2-3 days.

And wherever you are-make sure the BOB's are loaded up and ready to go.

Because I don't think this was all of Israel's attack. Think of it as an appetizer, or hors d' ouvres. Ishafan is apparently an F-14 base. So the attack (as presented in the media) was "measured". IE it wasn't much of a retaliation. I think much more was hit in that area than just a little air base.

Tit just hit tat. Next serve, Iran?
Yes, this morning it looked like the Phony War of 1939. Not so much now. It could have ended last night, but now Israel is pushing Iran's face into it. On top of that, Russia might feel compelled to take some steps, as their Air Defense was made to look pretty poor, the old stuff anyway.

BREAKING: PLANE THAT BOMBED IRAQ CAME FROM JORDAN

According to an Iraqi security source, the plane that bombed Babylon in Iraq departed from the Burj 22 base in the Rukban area, northeastern Jordan, near the Jordanian-Syrian border.

Yeah, I'm not buying it. Jordan wouldn't do it and the US has a very large Iraqi delegation in the US all week. It makes no sense for the USA to invite more bloodshed in Iraq.

The attack on Iranian targets from Iraqi airspace was a big F@CK YOU to the United States.

America knew about the attack and told Israel not to enter Iranian airspace.

Israel's method of attack bypassed Biden's demand.

The fact is, Israel is fighting a hot war against Iran and a political war with the US.

The US is not their friend.

If Iran had the bomb, they’d have sent it. When and if they develop it. They’ll send it.
The question now is. Does Israel wait until Iran proves they have it. Or do they (Israel) preemptively strike
It wouldn’t be the first time they’ve had to preemptively strike. If they do strike against Iran’s nuclear capability they will be condemned for it. Even though they are making the world safer.

Imagine how different the first Gulf War would've been if Israel hadn’t destroyed the nuclear reactor Iraq was building in 1981. It’s interesting that Iran had tried and failed to destroy the same reactor a year before Israel completed the job.

THE REAL STORY OF THE ISRAELI COUNTER RESPONSE

From a very high level intel source.

In Asia.

NOT Russia-China.

Although the strategic partnership, of course, exchanges at the highest level 24-7.

Confirmed and re-confirmed.

It will be great to know what Sy Hersh hears from his Beltway sources.

Here we go.

Israel initially chose to respond with extreme force.

An F-35 loaded with a nuclear bomb was sent east over Jordan.

The mission: cause a high-altitude detonation over Iran that would provoke a surge in the high-capacity power lines, crippling Iran's electric grid, as well as disabling all electronic devices.

An EMP attack.

However...

... As the Israeli F-35 was leaving Jordanian airspace it was shot down by the Russian Air Force.

Hence the publicised version of the Israeli counter response was such a travesty.

In the end all sides decided not to publicise the real news - to de-escalate what could well turn into WWIII.

In an interview with NBC News earlier on Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian said the recent attack on #Isfahan was "not a strike," adding, "They were more like toys that our children play with – not drones."

He clarified that "As long as there is no new adventurism by Israel against our interests, then we are not going to have any new reactions."

However, the FM reiterated that if "Israel" "takes decisive action against my country and this is proven to us, our response will be immediate and to the maximum, and will cause them to regret it."

Regarding the #Iranian retaliation, Amir-Abdollahian said it was "a warning," highlighting that Tehran "could have hit Haifa and Tel Aviv...We could have also targeted all the economic ports of Israel."

However, the Minister emphasized, "Our red line was civilians...we only had a military purpose."

Worth asking @StateDept
about this: "The Iranians were informed that there would be Israeli activity via two regional channels carrying a message from the U.S."

amwaj.media
Exclusive: Iran’s military stays on ‘high alert’ as diplomacy ‘relies on Gaza’
Ali HashemMohammad Ali Shabani
1–2 minutes

While details remain unclear, Israel is suspected of having targeted military sites in central Iran and early warning facilities in Syria. The Iranians were informed that there would be Israeli activity via two regional channels carrying a message from the US, Amwaj.media has learned. Speaking on condition of anonymity, an Arab diplomatic source alleged that Israel was planning to strike earlier this week, but that the targets it chose were vetoed by the Joe Biden administration. Amwaj.media could not independently confirm this assertion.

Separately, a source in Beirut familiar with Hezbollah-Iran dynamics stated that aside from Iran’s Apr. 14 drone and missile strike on Israel, Hezbollah’s intensified operations in past days “carried a message that should have been absorbed well in Israel.” The Lebanese movement recently fired at least two attack drones, leaving multiple Israel soldiers injured with some in critical condition...

The IDF has been carrying out a counter-terrorism operation in the West Bank's Nur Shams refugee camp for more than 40 hours now, the military says.

Amid the raid near Tulkarem, at least 10 gunmen have been killed and eight wanted Palestinians have been detained, according to the IDF.

The IDF says the troops also discovered and destroyed a bomb-making lab, and seized firearms, including assault rifles.

Eight soldiers and a Border Police officer have been wounded so far amid the operation. They are listed in light and moderate conditions.
