MNKYPOX Monkeypox - Consolidated Thread.

I'm still left wondering how all these children are catching MP if their parents don't have it. Something hinky going on? I don't think we're being told the whole truth.

Easiest way I can think of is day care, although I would think that there would be clusters of them around the same time, but it doesn't seem to be being reported that way. I would think that schools would work the same way.

Other possibilities I'm thinking are the most likely: From a nurse or doctor that had a Monkeypox patient either in their office; at a fast food place or restaurant where someone with Monkeypox was, and the child touched things the parent's were less likely to touch such as the floor, the wall, or some of the condiments on the table; at a grocery store where the child ran around and touched "everything".

See, that's what's strange about it. There are no clusters, just individual cases. That's why I think something "gayish" and "hinky" is going on with them. Some of these children at not that young.

They need to start telling people more information.
And soon

I doubt they will, not for a little while yet. With all the changes they made to the official ways that it spread, right before and as it started spreading, I really have the opinion that they WANT to let it get out of control. Then (enough) people will DEMAND a lock down, and the government will have no choice but to give it to them. At the same time the way they use language on how is "at risk" gives them the bank shot of blaming conservatives later for all the homophobic responses as the reason that it got out of control. Then all they have to do is change all the documents again back to what they were before because they were following the science, and no one will ever be the wiser -- except for those they label as conspiracy theorists.

Most likely fomites, especially the younger ones. Infected folks touching doors, toilets, anything really. The kids touch it and mess with their face, sit on a toilet seat....

That's probably true, but even if there are fomites in a certain space, wouldn't that still cause small clusters? Everyone sitting on the same toilet seat or touching the same surface would catch it. Grown ups touch door knobs, too. Yet, we're only hearing of one or two children at a time getting infected scattered over a large area, not connected to each other.

And don't forget that it is supposed to be airborne also!

An infected person walks by, and the MP viruse infects the child but not the parents with the child?

I'm beginning to have a lot of doubts about all of this. Common sense is making me question a lot. There needs to be a lot more information forthcoming, and I mean NOW. There are things that are just not adding up in my mind.

It could for sure. Little kids, in particular, are more prone to touching things and putting them in their mouth. Adults SHOULD be better about washing their hands after. There could also be variability between how susceptible people are due to past smallpox vaccines as well as factors we don't yet understand. Honestly my expectation is you are going to see this most prevalently in those who are in their 40s and under as most would have never had a smallpox vaccine and thus no immunity.

OK, what's up tonight?

Watched the NBC Nightly news. No mention of the newest and most horrific plague to reach our shores. Not one mention.
Something else must be next...

It's meant to be a stealth plague. Spreading quietly in the background, people lulled, stupefied with misinfo/disinfo, then suddenly it's OMG time, extreme measures justified/enacted, probably a few weeks before the 2022 election as well as the impending collapse of the fiat currency system. There might also be a tie-in to eliminating the use of cash, aligned with the introduction of the central bank digital currency (CBDC).

And space aliens. You forgot the invaders from distant galaxies.

Idaho? They show seven cases! And Michigan has only 70!
The town of Moscow has a large gay population. It was prevalent back even in the late 70's/80's at the college there. Boise may be similar, they have grown from about 100K people to 500K in the last 30 years.

I'll take your word for that. My point was that they're finding it in the wastewater with only seven registered, which suggests they're missing a lot of cases. Your reply suggests where those missing cases are.

Yep
This is why I try to only find information from medical people, those out there, doing the work and seeing what’s truly happening.

Once in awhile, a random citizen will have heard or seen something important or have pertinent info but I still check their profiles.

It's all so confusing. There's even disagreement among the medical experts about what's happening. It's like COVID experts and info coming from every angle all over again. Biased opinions and fake stories. Who and what to believe is getting harder and harder.

Ummmm....perhaps it may be wise to be more skeptical of "medical people" and investigate their profiles as well.....

The last time I went to a general practitioner was about 15 years ago. I've been to specialists since then (eye doctor, ENT for sinus infection, urgent care for stitches) but I've never been back to a GP since then and likely never will. The reason is this. I went in 15 years ago because I was feeling tired all the time. I only met with the doctor for 15 minutes but during that time he tried to prescribe me several different drugs (anti anxiety, anti this, anti that)...it was insane. I left and never went back. Turns out I was just not eating well and not exercising enough. Once I remedied those two things I felt better almost immediately and have ever since.
