I have not heard from Be Well in months, I'll see if I can find her e-mail (like Moles I have it somewhere but there are thousands of old e-mails I haven't dealt with). In her case, she sent me some reference material on a topic I was studying so it may be easier to find out.

But she was seriously ill and I know she wanted to have some space and time for herself and her family.

Mole's case is totally different, we were working on a project not connected to TB2K, but after she posted that she and her husband were going back to the hospital and she would post an update later - then silence.

To me, that was a lot more worrying than an "I'm going to need some time to deal with this" message from Be Well.

One of my friends in California told me on a zoom call that some of my old friends, who really are elderly and living alone at this point set up a local network to check in with each other once a week and if they didn't someone would visit the home and make sure they were OK. That was all voluntary and of course perfectly doable in a local situation but harder to do a version of on a forum or even e-mail.

This too shall pass.

I have to check in with one or both of my older daughters pretty much daily, or they worry. They have the contact information for our pastor here, and my friend who lives nearby, and would send someone to check on us if they didn't hear from me. It's really important to have some kind of support system like that (in my case, if I suddenly died or was seriously ill, it would leave my youngest daughter on her own in the house and she would have trouble feeding herself).

Dear Lord, you know all of your sheep at all times. Well we are missing a few here on TB2K. Whatever the reason, please be with them and let them feel that there are people out here who care about them, where they are, and what they are doing, that care about their health and well being. Guide them back, if only to drop us a line to say they are off experiencing life or if they need particular things prayed over. Amen.

One of the reasons that we moved my parents so close to us is because their previous support network was moving out of their area, dying off, or simply incapable of being "support" or "contact" anymore. I really feared that if one of my parents passed, the other would just going into shock and follow them.

ETA. I'll leave it to you Kathy

I'm nosey. That's all I am going to admit to. LOL

I don't mean to make light of the worry people have for other folks but it really is possible they've just decided, on their own, to go inhabit some other location and we are sticking our noses in it. I hope no one is offended. TB2K is like this huge extended family. You get used to seeing someone around and then when they aren't you worry and wonder.
