Majority Whip Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) refused to give President Donald Trump any credit during an interview on Wednesday for delivering record low unemployment rates for the black community, and instead argued that blacks had more jobs when they were slaves.

Clyburn made the remarks during an interview with Fox News when host Neil Cavuto brought up racially insensitive remarks made by Democrat billionaire Michael Bloomberg.

“If he were the nominee, would you back him?” Cavuto asked Clyburn.

“Oh, I’m going to back whoever our nominee is, absolutely,” Clyburn responded.

“Even with the things he has said about African Americans? Or does that bother you?” Cavuto asked.

“Well, not as much as what Trump has said about African Americans,” Clyburn continued. “Anytime that I go to the polls, I’m considering positives and negatives on all candidates, and I try to go with the one whose positives outweigh the negatives.”

“Well let’s leave the words aside, alright congressman? Let’s leave the words aside. Whether you like his style or not, or tweets or not, or comments or not, he’s delivered the goods for a lot of African Americans, has he not?” Cavuto asked. “With record low unemployment levels, one group after another, mostly with African Americans. You don’t think that’s something that’s constructive?”

“No, no, because it’s not true,” Clyburn falsely claimed.

“What do you mean it’s not true?” Cavuto pressed.

“I’m saying African American unemployment is not the lowest it’s ever been, unless you count slavery,” Clyburn responded. “We were fully employed during slavery, so it all depends about how you measure this up.”

The Fox News comes segment comes just a couple of days after former President Barack Obama tried to take credit for Trump’s booming economy.

National Review highlighted some of Trump’s economic accomplishments:
The census report ten days ago revealed workers’ earnings increasing at 3.4 percent annually, a rate not seen since the best of the Reagan years, and the poverty rate has declined to 11.8 percent, the best figure that has been recorded since the end of the Clinton administration and still resolutely proceeding in the right direction. Unemployment is at its lowest percentage since the Lyndon Johnson administration more than 50 years ago (and the numbers then were helped by having 545,000 conscripts in Vietnam). Minority groups are the principal beneficiaries of the Trump economy; this isn’t trickle-down, it’s surge-up. Average income for female-led single-parent households jumped 7.6 percent last year, well ahead of gains in higher income groups. The poverty rate among female-led households fell 2.7 percent for African Americans, and 4 percent for Hispanics. Industries largely populated by women (and, historically, exploited women), especially hospitality and, to a lesser extent, health care, showed strong earnings gains, even as unemployment rates for African-American and Hispanic women fell to under 4.5 percent. Another partisan Democratic falsehood that is exposed by the census is the myth that the middle class is shrinking. The percentage of total families at the lowest economic levels has fallen by over 1 whole percent and the brackets from $50,000 to $150,000 and above $200,000 have both increased by almost 1 whole percent (several million people in each case). There were sharp increases in the incomes of younger families (up to age 34).

In addition to those numbers, blacks, Hispanics, and Asians have experienced record low unemployment rates under the Trump administration and well over 6 million Americans have been lifted off of food stamps.

Slavery has been gone for a loooonnng time. Certainly since before me,and I'm in my 60's. So anyone involved with slavery is most likely dead, including the slaves. About time these black racists get over it. Really tiresome hearing this friggin drum beat over and over.

Nobody is holding you back. These black racists just want to destroy the white race anyway possible. The whites will have this thrown at them forever. Kinda like the black Trump card. They think when th throw it out in a discussion or argument it takes the legs out of the conversation for whites ... Not.

The one fact they won't talk about is their own race ( other blacks) had them as slaves and sold them to the white man.

They just don't want to admit Obama didn't create jobs for "everyone" ... But he did give the blacks free stuff. Working for your money is a strange concept for many of them. They can't get over their old ways.

Unfortunately, a large percentage of the black population are quite comfortable with their virtual chains of slavery under the Marxist Democrats and consider their welfare as full employment. Having more and more blacks breaking those chains and moving toward freedom from their masters is totally unacceptable.

As with other black polititians, they spout the racsist crap just to make news. I live in Clyburn's district. You only hear about/of him at an election. A useless person. But nobody will run against him. I would love to have a choice.

He's right. The unemployment rate of slaves was ZERO.

The only question now is does he want his race to go back to that? They will have zero unemployment, is he saying that's a plus?

Nope. It is not a stretch by any means to say that he believes blacks were better off as slaves.

The problem is, slavery is not employment. It is forced labor under the threat of severe punishment or even death for failing to perform to the owner's desires. If a slave does not perform well you don't just fire them and let unemployment be the punishment.

In addition, slaves do not have any right to own cars or their homes, buy clothing of their choosing, own cell phones or Nike Air Jordans, travel as they see fit, seek the education of their choosing and to work in the locality and area of employment of their choosing.

He is a monument to ignorance and hatred.

This is a thread, where I do have some abilities to address the
topic indicated.

I must say that I am very bitter, have been for many decades,
as everything has been given to the POS African race,
and it has not mattered. It has been, and never will be enough.

How many here, have Africans in their own families,
or grew up being around Africans every single day for decades?

Well I do, and I know why the subject of slavery is never going
to go away in this now royally screwed up nation, never, never,
never is it going away, never.

From the very beginnings of this nation, this nation has been
bitterly divided, and one of the primary divisions was slavery.
The issue of slavery was paramount, and that division ultimately
ended up with the so called Civil War, where 620,000 WHITE MEN,
were sacrificed for the POS African race. This is the truth people,
it is the truth.

My family was nearly wiped out, and many other families
were wiped out, many towns completely wiped out,
all of their men having died, because of the POS African race.
That sacrifice means nothing today, in this royally screwed
up nation, and it is screwed up, because of the POS African race.

The 2 images that I am including with this post,
will provide some information regarding the African slave trade,
why the ZUSA, when it was under British control,
imported a very small amount of African slaves.
Yet the problem with the African slaves has been far far worse
for the ZUSA, then it has been for all of the other areas
where African slaves were imported, combined.

They do not have the problems with the African race,
that the ZUSA has, as the African race in those areas
is not protected, as it is in the ZUSA.

You can blame the POS Abe Lincoln, and what happened
on April 9th, 1865. An illegal war, where the wrong side won.

It is only going to get worse in the ZUSA, much much worse,
as the POS African race is working very hard, to make the ZUSA,
the next South Africa.

However, for some strange reason every time Tucker asked the councilman specific questions regarding the 2.3 Billion dollars given to the city, the councilman reverted to bring up 400 years of structural racism.

Now you know me, I am not one to sweep racism nor 400 years of the atrocities done to Black Americans under the bus. Nonetheless, we are talking about a specific incident of a specific point of time, of which the councilman and many of black leader resided over this money.

We have a serious corruption problem in Black America, at the highest levels of our government and it's shameful that in 2019, our black leaders will not have some integrity to do what's right for the people they were put in office to represent.

The bottom line with the POS African race in the ZUSA today is this.

Every last White person could leave the ZUSA,
and the POS African race, would still blame their 70 IQ moronic failures,
on the White race.

As a race, they simply do not have the abilities to properly function
in a 1st world society, such as the ZUSA still currently is.
However, there are areas in the ZUSA, that are fully 3rd world now,
and those areas for the most part, are under control of the POS Africans.

As I have stated many times, the POS Africans are always going to look
to the past, and slavery is always going to be front and center for them.
They see all of their problems, as being the fault of the evil White man,
and nothing is ever going to change how they view the ZUSA.

Nice to see a black man highlighting something positive about slavery. And, he makes a good point (and one of slavery's greatest weaknesses): the slave owner had to feed and house slaves, even at times of low or no work. And I think this is the fundamental reason many blacks prefer the plantation system offered by the democrats: it promises to take care of them even if they don't work. To go a bit further: until emancipation, little if any of the blacks' experience was within their control. Sadly for them, even emancipation and "civil rights" were handed to them. Few had the opportunity to live the consequences of choices.

The African race is divided into 2 very distinct groups.

The 3%, or the good Blacks, who have normal families,
husband and wife, kids, they work, pay their taxes,
and from my experiences, are good neighbours,
a benefit to all who know them. Some of the best peoples
that I have ever known.

The 97%, or the POS "the others", also known as that
most despicable word in all of human lexicon. I wont even indicate the first letter.
They do not have normal families, mother is a welfare sow,
with many times 4 or more basterds, each by a different African male.
Most of the time, the babies daddies is in a grey bar hotel lockup someplace.
They have never worked a day in their POS lives, and they will tell you,
Have heard this many times."I don't have to work, my people worked for
free for you evil Whites" They cannot even find Africa on a world map.
They are controlled by their Stone Age Tribal Jungle Culture,
absolute violence, destruction and mayhem.

Just stay the hell away from them, as far away as you can,
as there is no way that it is going to change peacefully in the ZUSA,
only physical violence will rectify the many problems that have always
existed with the POS African race, problems that have existed since
the first POS African sat foot here, nearly 400 years ago.
