prep accordingly - the tangent SHTFs coming off any lockdown might develop into trouble 10X worse than the Covid threat ....
This is why getting heavy items -- like bleach, cat litter, paint -- have been priorities. While expensive, there's plenty of gas, so I can easily get them home in my car. Later, I might be riding my bike down the road to my neighbors who have farms to barter for eggs, etc. I can carry small loads on my bike or walking, with a wagon or backpack. And we've already had discussions about this possibility.
I'm not that worried about being stuck 100% at home. My area would be very difficult to totally lock down. I don't see them trying it, either.
What I am anticipating:
- major shortages at the larger groceries
- limits on items, shortened shopping times, and other restrictions along those lines (masks)
- Possible gas shortages.
- Internet and ATM outages (got some cash?)
- possible shut downs here and there on the major freeways, with perhaps only 18 wheelers being allowed to travel, with escorts, especially around places like Chicago
If it doesn't get that bad, I'll be pleased.
