WTF?!? Last night, I had a visit from two unknown (to me) Hispanic males

I have two "murder hole" windows I can see who's at the door, if I want to say something I crack a window from an elevated position and they have to turn around, wonder where I'm at, then respond not quite sure of my location. I could see if they had guns behind their backs and watch them a bit. If needed drastic measures I'm elevated and at tgeir backs, there's no retreat or hides for them.

@Buick Electra Do you remember when something extremely similar happened to me back in about 2010? Only, it was 3 men in black suits who had thick Russian/European accents.

I homeschooled my kids and one of my kids was home with me when it happened. It was the middle of the day. These men asked practically the same question as they did you. They could tell I was confused and saw my daughter. They left abruptly. They had parked across the street and down one house pointed in the direction to LEAVE my home (it wasn’t as if they had driven up the street and parked in front of my home.)

STUPID ME shut the door and quickly reopened it and ran down towards their all-black car and got their license plate. One man opened the trunk and threw a brief case type bag into it. 3 guys total. My daughter still remembers that it happened, but was too young to be alarmed. (8 yrs old.)

I called the police. They tracked the car to a man about 20 miles north of my home but they didn’t check it out. The cop practically laughed at me. It was one the strangest things that’s ever happened to me. It freaked me out.

My dog is absolutely vicious anytime someone comes up the driveway.
Problem is, he doesn't know he's a little dog. He tries to act like a lion.

I’m right there with ya on the attack dogs! I have a 4.5 lb Morkie (Maltese/Yorkie) who thinks he’s a Rottweiler! “Democrats” delivering packages are just as scared of him as if he really was a Rottweiler! :xpnd:

sometimes it pays to apprehend and hold >>> guy in town got a 3AM alert someone tripped his garage alarm - confronted the masked guy with his handgun and the crook took off pedaling away on a bike ....

today came home from work and his custom car carrier was gone - checked his camera footage and it looks like the same guy came back this time at 5AM >> he put out an area alarm and the trailer was found later in the morning along with tons of other stolen goods in a ghetto area ......

they are giving the ghetto working detective the credit but I think the trailer might have been LoJacked ....
But then again, some people deserve a good pistol whipping. And when properly executed with style... well it could be very relieving in a sort of stress relieving way knowing that you put a hurt on somebody that deserved it. **** calling the police.

Keep an eye out for them to come back-unannounced. Sounds like they're casing the neighborhood. Maybe check with neighbors to see if they have also gotten these late night visits too.

Hope the pups like the taste of thieving wetbacks, sounds like their diet might be getting some treats on the hoof.
My initial fear regarding Dennis is that he insulted a couple of Mexican Drug Cartel arseholes. Having said that, if they ever find out that Dennis submitted a police report, they will come back to kill him twice. It's dangerous territory.

My dog is slippery when someone knocks and I open the door. She's a 60 pound black mouth cur that is very territorial. I spend too much attention trying to keep her in and not focusing on who's on the other side of the door. Not good.

As you know, Hairy is a 100 lb BMC/GP mix. Also very territorial. That’s why I only open it about 4”

Sir, in your original post you mentioned that you only opened your front door 2". Now you are stating that you only opened it about 4".

This is a material variation from your original statement.
With all due respect, I must ask...Were you lying then or are you lying now?

The inconsistency of your claim shows that you fabricated this story in order to repudiate the integrity of the fine young men who were simply investigating the loss of a package.

Your police complaint is being dismissed as being false and you will be charged with filing a false police report, two charges of criminal harassment of a protected visible minority, two charges of human rights violations, and noise violations due to the barking of your vicious, out of control animals after dark.

There was another variation in S Calgary: someone beating on your door & yelling they needed to call an Ambo for X or Y relative w/ some serious issue - skells got past common sense a few times & the outcomes made the news. All BS of course as ER & transport is a given in Canuckistan.

No body died but there were some ugly scenarios.

Oddly, didn't work in my mostly blue-collar neighbourhood.

We are buying some of these WiFi light bulb cameras that screw right into the light sockets already on the outside of the house. They are 360 degrees, wireless, with two-way audio and motion detection. They interface with your home router and smart phone, record activity on microSD card and to the cloud.

If anyone else has purchased these we would appreciate feedback.

careful dude, i think they will be back. get a door cam with a record function if you don't have one already.
Can you just imagine what would happen if they came back and were jumped by those 2 dogs??? It would be a mess to clean up what would be left of them, blood and guts would be everywhere!!

I wouldn't open the door, not even 2".
Based on recent training I saw, this is absolutely the correct thing to do. It was also stressed to make sure the door knocker was aware you were home. Not replying makes them think they have an opportunity to make illegal entry.
