Daughter and son in law are finally back to work today, having recovered well enough to drive without fear of causing an accident.

Now.....as of yesterday morning, my sweet best girl/wife of 33 years has contracted it. Home test positive.

Fever, body aches, chills, headache.

We've spent the past nearly 2 years educating ourselves, and arming our immune systems as well as our stock of treatment and plans for what we considered the inevitable. And so it has come to pass.

We have except framily guiding and offering tutelage, to which we are eternally grateful and adhering to.

She is absolutely miserable. We have made a pact to each other that under no circumstances will we go to the hospital here....i e. The Place To Go To Die.

IF Our Gracious Heavenly Father is to call us home, we will depart on our own terms, and from the arms of each other's mortal coil in our own home.

We are isolating, taking from the arsenal of meds and supplements we've parceled together, resting, and encouraging each other.

I am not down with this maleficent curse unleashed on humanity, nor do I have intent to. So far, so good anyway. I'm too busy taking care of my everything to be anything but her caretaker as she has been for me these past 7½ years.

Praying for you both!!

I think I can...
Daughter's fiancé has it now. They live together, so there's a good chance she'll get it too, though my hubby never showed symptoms or tested positive when I was sick a few weeks ago. Daughter is really unhappy about her forced 5-day "covid-cation" from work. She is a teacher and still has to do a bunch of work for the subs. FWIW, both are vaxed but not boosted. They'll be fine, they're young and healthy. I'm not changing my "vote" on the poll though because he's technically not my immediate family yet. :)

87 year old mother-in-law and 93 year old father-in-law were taken to the ER for reasons unrelated to covid. Both tested positive. Mother-in-law went about 7 in the evening and was given a room, no problem. A few hours later, around 11o'clock, father-in-law went and is still in the ER waiting for a room.

I just got word the 20 IVM pills finally arrived. I got my buddy some hope at last. He's got several days worth until the paste and other pills arrive. I mailed them on the 12th first class. Never doing that again. Priority mail with tracking number from now on. He's been in Hospital since Monday the 10th. He's on O2 and Remdisivir.
For something like this I'd use FedEx. My recent experience is that USPS is hopelessly slow and the tracking updates can be a day behind.

Um, no. I priority mailed my shoes that didn’t fit back to the seller on January 3rd. They finally arrived on January 17th! I asked my ex (who runs a little post office) what was up with that, and she said that even priority is getting very slow. Reconsider the USPS at all. UPS currently has the best on-time delivery stats.

Yeah I used to work at the little PO in my hick town…..USPS priority can be days and days - or not at all. UPS still seems to try by me but they are so stretched out that the poor folks are working insane hours.…and FedEx is awful.

Has No Life - Lives on TB
Well my good friend passed away this morning from Covid. His wife just called me to tell me. He was breathing on his own until Tuesaday when his O2 started to drop. That was the last time he called me to talk and he was asking me for info on the Ivermectin pills. His wife told me she saw him yesterday and he asked for the Ivermectin pills I sent him. She forgot to bring them in. It was his last chance to save his life and she forgot the god dam pills. I almost suspect she deliberately withheld them. She mentioned she knew he wouldn't survive and didn't think the pills would have helped him. She didn't seem upset when she called me. I can't believe she didn't think to take him the pills.

My wife had it over Thanksgiving and she had cold-like symptoms for two days. Followed by lethargy for a week. My 17 year old daughter currently has it and shows no symptoms other than loss of taste. We never would have known unless she told us she couldn’t taste food. I’ve never had it nor has my eldest daughter. We have been blessed that it wasn’t worse.

They say the 3rd time is the charm and I really hope so....because here we go again. Youngest son's best friend (who is fully vaxxed)tested positive yesterday, son started fever, congestion, sore throat about 11 last night and is now coughing and crap.

Praying right now for your son ! This is his 3rd time with the virus?

Joining the club no one wants to belong to. Daughter in otherwise good health came down with it yesterday, lost smell and taste today. Tested positive today. Johnson and Johnson vax’d many months ago. Dr is prescribing Ivermectin. Her O2 is still in the upper 90% range.
Praying for all for protection from this Fauci/China virus.

Finally feeling pretty much back to normal after coming down with covid a couple of weeks ago. The fatigue and cough really slammed me..I did no housework for two weeks...just managed the bare minimum of cooking and laundry. Dh had it worse with terrible sore throat(like swallowing broken glass he said) . Daughter and SIL also got it and SIL had it hard with fevers and coughing but they are on the mend now too thankfully.
