Oh Pebbles, I'm so sorry to read your news. Praying for your whole family! And you too, of course! You must be so worried.
Yes, I am worried. Just talked to my sister. I'm sure my mom has covid. She has a runny nose, tickly throat and a slight cough. No possibility of testing, and I told her, treat her like she has it. I gave my sister the list of what to get to hit it hard right now. My sister called my mom's Dr. and he said the standard - if her O2 get below 90 and her fever stays above 101 bring her in. Right now she feels fine and she is much safer at home. I sure would appreciate prayers for my mom.

You've got them, honey!

A few days ago I thought I was coming down with something, Scratchy sore throat. I took a dose of IVM and it knocked the soreness right out within a half hour! I use the liquid IVM 1 ml squirted on a piece of bread with peanut butter. I actually like the taste.

I think I can...
Now it appears my 23 yo son has it. He hasn't been tested but his roommate tested positive today, and my son has minor symptoms, just achy and tired. He is not vaccinated because, like so many of you, he doesn't trust it. He'd just about made up his mind to finally get the jabs, because he is not currently employed and needs to be, or needs to get back to college, which requires a vax. I really wish these idiots accepted acquired immunity. Praying his symptoms stay so minor.

Havent tested but i am sure i got it. No home tests available and I’m beyond too exhausted to leave the house. slept all day yesterday. just a tickly throat and headache and total fatigue/brain fogged. Otherwise I feel fine! :) oh wait- zero appetite too.
Got notice from son’s school of exposure to C-19 in his classroom. son is fine. he stayed home yesterday & today because i’m too sick & tired to drive!
I take dr zelenko protocol.

I thought I had it but turned out to be just a stuffy nose and cough...which is NORMAL for me, I have always had sinus problems. Knock on wood we all good here, but Dh and I haven't gone many places since Christmas. Saw my parents a couple times and only twice shopping.

It's feels like we have lost so many people this past year from Covid on this board (family & friends of board members also), do we have a post with the loses, age and vax status?

Just added my first two. Sister and BIL came down with it last Thursday. They kept it quiet and I just found out today. I took them a care package. They both had headaches and body pains, bad at first but seem to be getting better.

My BIL's brother spent a month in ICU, they were able to wean him off the ventilator, and sent him home this last Monday. Today they had to send him down to Abbot in the Cities and it didn't sound good.

Neither here nor there.
I was tested this afternoon, along with a strep test since I came into contact with someone who has strep over the weekend. No strep but my throat is raw and feels like it's on fire. Should know if I have covid or not in a couple of days. Doc said straight up the quick test is highly inaccurate.

I am happy to report that my 85 year old step Dad and my 80 year old mother with late stage Alzheimer's are doing much better today. I think they are going to make it through. My 22 year old daughter is sick now ~ moved her into her college dorm last weekend and she is already sick. We knew it was inevitable. She is trying to get tested on campus tomorrow. Phone lines were too busy for her to get through today. Say a prayer for her, please ~ she has some underlying medical issues.

Just added two more to the vote. My other sister is positive based on her PCR taken at work. There are no rapid tests available but my mom who is 95, has all the symptoms today, 100 temp, runny nose, sore throat, slight cough, but she is in a very good mood, very talkative. Her Dr. said he was sure she has it because she lives with my brother and nephew who are both positive.

What is the name of the antibody test? My primary care doctor told there is not an antibody test available. It is frustrating to not have access to antibody testing.

Found my blood test results; these are the names:

1) Anti-SARS-CoV-2 Spike Serum (Roche Diagnostics Ekecsys Anti-SARS-Cov2 S semiquantitative spike protein antibody assay)

and 2) Anti-SARS-CoV-2 Neutralizing Serum.

Both developed by Boston Heart Diagnostics, 200 Crossing Blvd. Framingham MA 01702

Granddaughter was sent home from school last Thursday because more than 5 people in her classroom had tested positive.
She only had a headache and a sore throat, developed a cough over the weekend. Couldn't get an appointment or tested until Monday. Still waiting for results.

Youngest grandson developed a cough over the weekend too. They also tested him on Monday.
Strep has been rampant this year and several cases of flu recently. Both were negative for strep, flu and something else.
None of the covid results are back yet and the school does not accept the rapid test results to get back into class.

I found out yesterday that my oldest grandson's girlfriend's parents in another county had both tested positive sometime in the last week or two. Girlfriend tested negative. Grandson tested negative today on rapid test, but because he is nauseous and has a bad headache, they also sent off for the longer test; still waiting on those results.
I don't know the girlfriend's parents and suspect they are over it by now anyway.

I have not added anyone to poll numbers since no results back yet. If any come back positive, I will add between 1 and 4, maybe as high as 9 if everyone in close contact ends up positive after all. (DH and I were both around them a few times during the last two weeks, but only prolonged contact was on first and for tornado warnings. I have been sneezing, but it feels like a regular old-fashioned cold to me.)

My family (except DH) have all had covid at some point or another over the last two years with other variants and they had all been a lot sicker than any of them are now.

If they test positive, since symptoms are so much milder than what they had before, it should be the omicron variant which is not very bad. Delta and omicron are the variants running thru Bama at moment.

Also, DD just texted that she has now started running a fever. (100 at moment, so not too bad)

ETA: also, DD said all schools in her county will be closed until at least next Tuesday. (decision was made yesterday)

The Mountain

Here since the beginning

I just received a positive test result, though I have been sick since Monday evening. DW and mini-mountain are also sick, so we are presuming that they also have it. Both had it last year as well, and do not have it nearly as bad as I do.

That said, "bad" is relative. I had one day where I spent most of the time sleeping, with fever and other typical cold symptoms. I'm still not well, but have improved significantly.

I have been taking Golden Honey. DH also. I made some and took it to DD and granddaughters today.
Youngest GD is fine now. I am also feeling great. DD, older GD and DH are still sick. They will stay on protocol.
Changed # from 5 down to 3.

Doc called with results today for grands; covid positive.

I put 4 positives in poll (3 grands and DD); might end up adding more later.

My buddy in NYC, I was able to mail him 2/3s of my ivermectin pills. I haven't had any phone contact with him yet, but he emailed me this morning, so he must have his laptop. He was grateful for the ivermectin. He should get the pills Friday. I'm not sure if they started him on Rendesivier or blood thinners. He was afraid to go to hospital because the people in his apt building, he said when they go in they're gone in a few days. I think some people are so afraid, they wait until Covid has reached stage 3 and by then it's a hard battle to beat, especially if your Dr won't give you anything to treat it due to big pharma mandates over medical procedures.

My next IVM supply is currently inbound from ADC. 160 pills, should arrive in about 15-20 days. I still have 30 from my original supply. That should keep me in IVM for at least one bout of the 'Rona, should I come down with it. Further, I'm on a regimen of supps that would choke a moose. Takes me 15 minutes and two glasses of water to choke them all down.

Only worry about what you can control!
As many of y'all know I came down sick Christmas day, tested positive was really tired for a week, ran a fever a few days, lost taste and smell, brain fog. Most of that went away, but I am left with a massive head cold, hearing loss (I assume from congestion), still coughing some and still not fully back to energy levels. I feel less than stellar at this point, I'm a healthy person through and through. I started Ivermectin the first day, Vit D and Zinc, Mucinex and then eventually Elderberry too. I'm going to live, but it will stay with you a while. I check every day and I'm rather nervous about our poll here crossing 400, I am still praying for all those members reporting in and all y'alls family and friends you have spoken of here.

changed my vote. My mom and DH are also sick. All of us on dr zelenko’s protocol. Mom just started dr z’s today. Coughing. Exhausted. Feels somewhere between a cold and the flu. But I’m able to work from home. Worst part is having 8 yr old stay home from school. He is literally bouncing off the walls. He’s not sick at all, thank goodness. We received letter from school on Monday that he had been exposed (last week). The letter said he could still attend school (!) but i’ve been keeping him home since I came down sick, in case.

So far three of th3 tests came back negative, am waiting on the last covid test.

My buddy is now emailing me in the afternoon as he has his laptop with him. He's still on O2. They have him on Remdesivir so at least they're treating him with something. He wants out of the hospital ASAP, he hates it there. He wants to go home and self treat with Ivermectin.

My son, actually called me this evening from his hospital bed. His voice is not what it was, but it sounded simi strong. He is improving and is now on solid food. He has all medical breathing assistance removed. He hopes to go home this coming tuesday. while he is still weak, his strength is improving daily. His therapy exercise today was to cook a fried egg sandwich. he said it tasted wonderful!
so thanks again for all your prayers for him.
this Covid junk can be beaten!

Talked with my brother yesterday, his whole family has it, except the kids. I went to the critical care office and got tested there. So I've got it, both him and his wife, both their kids and their spouses. Who'da thunk it?
