Thanks all for your replies. :apc:

I feel a lot of comfort knowing there are so many of us who feel the same way.
I woke up today feeling stunned and sick for our country. Tonight I feel better knowing there are so many of us who will not let our country be taken over by these America hating idiots. Not without a good fight.

Glad to see there are other smart women out there who did not drink the Obama kool-aid.:kaid:

I am still pretty pissed at some on this board that think they have the right to call the people that voted for McCain ugly names such as DemRepBots, stupid, neocons or anything they wish to insult us for our vote. Oh yeah, they hate Obama too, but think that voting McCain wasn't the way and voting for 3rd party was, even when their vote was for someone not even running. Many that did not even vote AT ALL have called McCain voters nasty names as well.

I am in Texas and McCain won Texas. My vote counted against Obama.

I have no problem with someone wanting to vote 3rd party, but I don't think those people have any right to complain along with the rest of us when Obama takes his place as The President. Most of the 3rd party people, I am finding, actually liked Obama all along and you know who you are! You helped get him elected IMO.

I hope you all get your rocks off when they play "Hail to the African Chieftan" during the inaguration.

There are still lots of us "good ole girls" out here who will stand beside anyone of honor to defend the Constitution. If they come for my guns, and they may try, but for some, it will be their last act of treason!

I cried last night, did wear black today. Go back and forth between wanting to hang the flag upside down on my lawn in rage or act like Dith Pran in the Killing Fields, (remember when the Khmer Rouge came in to the city and started executing anyone in glasses because they looked like part of the ruling class. Pran rubbed dirt on his hands and pretended to be a simpleton to survive. )

On the brighter side, I guess no one can say we still need Affirmative Action, so maybe my white sons will be eligible for some scholarships now :)

(forgot to say, Im a gal too blacklab, soon to be a heavily armed gal!)

Upon second thought...

Yep, still mad.

And I bawled like a baby last night (after I got home from work in a major newsroom ... I'm sure you can imagine the atmosphere.)

I just wish I could comfort you all but I can't. All I can say is I know how you feel, after years and decades of watching Liberal governments bring in destructive legislation and slowly erode my nation with their creeping socialism.
Don't think you are alone in the world or that everyone is cheering Obama's win. We Conservatives in Canada are sad for you and we are standing alongside you. Not sure how our Stephen Harper is going to get on with Obama, should be interesting times ahead all around. But please just know this one thing, we Conservatives here are very much for the USA and we don't want to see you go down the socialist path we have trod so unsuccessfully. I know the American "can-do" spirit WILL prevail and you guys WILL come back and be great once more. There is still so much left that is good and great in the USA. May God bless your great nation and bring you back.

As will Christians. And by that I don't mean those people who call themselves Christians because they aren't Jewish or they celebrate Christmas. I mean the real deal.

As we speak out against the mass murder of the unborn which will surely escalate, as we speak out against the worship of man instead of God, we will surely be targeted as haters and probably racists [just because it's such a handy word for our neolib overlords to use].

Just fight back, people. Just fight back.

Actually I was calm until the evening news cycle began. Every newscast is nothing but constant Obama worship (whoreship?).

I thought the election coverage was bad, but this is sickening and maddening at the same time.

I disagree, if it was a black conservative, we would all be joining the praise. If your paying attention the praise is more directed at America making this historic step of electing a black president.

I think he is going to be much more centrist, than the right or the left suspect. He is going to be constrained by the economic crisis and "The Great Game". This will curtail to much spending.

Two hopes, I do have that he will take action against unfair trade treaties and help find peace in the black community. I talked to all kinds of people and black people are estatic and similar. They go on and say this change didnt happen overnight althought the perception did. There was an admission that it was them the needed to fix thier own communities. I heard over and over " there isnt any excuse now".

An older black lady told me today that last night she was the proudest ever to black. Today she said she woke up and felt diffrently. I knind of tilted me head in surprise. She said today she just woke up proud. Today is the first day I dont feel black, I just feel like (her name)and she shook her hand.

I think Obama will be helpful there and the nation will be better off, in that respect. At the same time for Obama to keep the peace, he will have to be centrist to be a half way decent president. I think he is going to slap pelosi around.

We cant be mad now, the republican party is dead, it will either have to be reborn or we will have to create a new one. Anger is is not the correct source of action, we need honest caring debate and rebuild around our core issues. That cant be done in anger or in a know it all way or it will further discredit our core values.

Unfortunately, the Great game is about to explode bigtime, so its going to get sureal anyway. Isreal and Iran are in play. Russia will not give up this chance. MARK MY WORDS, SHE WILL NOT MISS IT. The world-wide economic collapse. The planned flare up in the ME. The Uncertain times, re: this election, tranfer of pwer, ect. They will act in a big way.

The US need's to look solid now.

Today I'm in mourning.. with bouts of anger. Someday soon, I imagine the anger will take over & simmer until its become a steady boil. When higher bills start coming in & are more difficult to pay because our 'dear leader' has shackled us with higher taxes, higher energy bills (because he intends to bankrupt coal businesses through taxation), higher fuel bills (because he isn't interested in drilling here & now).. & starts 'spreading the wealth' while gradually silencing dissent via the Fairness Doctrine & (who knows WHAT he'll do with) his Civilian Militia.. coupled with disarming the US of todays nuclear weapons & decreasing our military & their arms, coupled with our arms, etc.. I suspect about then, I'll reach full peak.

I never had anger, I had apathy. I just don't care about this country anymore. If the Chinese or Russians come to invade, oh well. Let Fruit Loop and Barak go to the front lines to fight them. To me, the Russian or Chinese flag flying above the white house wouldn't be any different than the US flag flying over it during a socialist administration.

I won't get angry until the Fairness Doctrine is enacted and gun banning starts.

Heart sick. I felt the anger before the results came out.

Had to monitor our local emergency scanner last night for small "celebrations" of between 200 and 500 in several different locations as close as 5-6 blocks away. Some of the "celebrants" burned trash cans. I must have been a bit scared because I got serious diarrhea. [Thank goodnes for Lomotil in the preps.]

Heartsick. Nauseated. Grief-stricken. Weary to the bone marrow.

The only comfort is a/c struts the stage before Jesus comes back. Praying for strength, safety for my family, and for my last loved one to find Salvation.

We have already unwound about $1 trillion in the financial markets. There's about another $50 trillion or so out there that will likely also unwind. The financial crisis is still in it's infancy, IMO. This crisis is, and will continue to be worldwide. It looks to me like the countries under socialist rule are feeling the pain the most (at least right now).

Add in the world tensions and hot spots, especially the ME.

BO may be going in with all his agendas in tack, but I think that what he will find when he gets there will dwarf his own ambitions and that he and the Demo congress will hit the ground in a purely defensive and reactionary mode to all the other issues.

I'm sure that all of them and their supporters are sitting back in the Demo Orgasmatron with the dial set to about 9.5 right now, but come January I think they will have a real big dose of reality and figure out they actually have a big and difficult job in front of them before their agendas can even be considered....

I'm, with Ravekid

There wasn't a choice for "numbly apathetic" so I did not vote.

My anger peaked back in October when the bailout was approved.

I voted 3rd party so I did not get worked up about the election- Dems/Repubs, it's the same old same old. We're doomed no matter what and I am just trying to focus first on God, and second on providing for me & mine.

Biding time until the bottom drops out, which it will- the Dems did not steal this election so much as BOUGHT it, paid in full- I say good luck and hope you get your money's worth!

My thoughts exactly. I would have liked to have seen his face after his intel briefing yesterday. He has NO idea of what he's in for just on the face of the problems already in existence, much less the ones he creates with the cooperation of Harry the Undead and Botox Nan.

What really tears me up is that no matter what happens it WILL Be the conservitaves fault and O-boy will do no wrong. Because that's all we will hear from the adoring media. So I hold no hope for the future. Illegals will continue to arrive and vote, the constitution will be "revised", social programs will "buy" more liberal voters, there will be no drilling in the Gulf, taxes will kill off the middle class, and self sufficiency, and any incentive to work will be eliminated.
Only the current financial situation will slow liberal progress. Kind of ironic, don't ya think, because our current financial "crisis" was brought to you by liberals.

when I got up this morning and heard the news, it was hard to believe. then I got angry. as they day has worn on, I felt I was over it. then, I would get all mad again.

Well the pain and grieving for this country as one of the final strokes of has begun to slice into the veins of this nation still carries in my heart as it will for the rest of my life, I am slowly coming out of my anger, and moving to a place now where I am defiant. I will be who I am no matter what laws, no matter what bars, no matter comes my way because of him; because who is he to change me? He is not my owner, not my God, and has no power to make me who I am. I was me before he ever took the mantle of President. And one thing that makes me, me; is that I am darn stubborn. I will be true to who I am, no matter how this term goes.
No weapons formed against me shall prosper. For the forgery of men cannot vanquish what God has made permanent. No ideals can steal a soul, no law can break the strong. Though evil knows no rest, it can only break as waves against rock.

Remember, for us who see through the shroud of evil, need to stay the course and survive. Those of us who are able to see the truth are the future of hope.

I just don't understand why all of you are so angry. You knew Obama was going to be the next president, so why get so upset? Does it really matter who the president is. Sitting here right now, I can't see as to how this is going to affect my life in any way, or any time soon. I'll go on living every day just the same as I always have. Nothing he does affects me, so why worry. At most with the Dem's taking over everything you can count on another good stimulus check in the mail here very soon, and that will give some of you on tight budgets a little extra to stock up on preps with. Myself, I think it's just great to be living in a time where so much history is taking place.

I'm not angry. Yeah, my guy didn't win but other than feeling some disappointment with the results I'm over it. It's over.

I'll pray that Obama can put together a good team to help run the country better than it has been run. He can't do it all by himself.

I hope things turn around for the best. If not, then the liberal democrats can't blame the republicans next time round. They'll have to accept either the kudos for job well done or the criticism for electing a poor leader.

For one yes I knew he was gonna get the vote, and tow I care because he is so many things I stand against. Though every present mostly dems, get that feeling from me; Obama is the grand prize winner. Why? because he is soooo good at being what I don't like! Yes we should have had a black pres a long time ago. as with any other nationality with AMERICAN birth, or gender should have been. 44 presidents later and we are just now breaking the white guy mold. But next time should be a woman. Why? because women deserve the title just as much, and then we can break the gender mold. Leadership is leadership, unfortunatly this man who breaks the mold also breaks the mold of our liberties. It may not effect you in your opinion, but you care about what this country is suppose to mean, then I have no doubt it will end up effecting you at some point. Assuming that the blame of the event don't get slapped on Bush our national fallguy. (Not saying he don't deserve some of it, but he has gotten some heat over things he never even did.)

We believe in what this country is suppose to mean, and when politics come and start messing with it, it shorta makes us mad. And when one is more comunistic then the others it tends to rattle us a bit. Just as the red coats did back in the day of our birth as a country.

I'm still in shock. I hung on to the hope he would not make it even thought the handwriting was on the wall months ago.

We could not watch even the local news yesterday, it had scene after scene that was nauseating.

Yesterday before I could grab the remote, I did hear a snip of Obama's speech where he referred to our founding fathers.

I did not feel like he had the right to say that.

And yes I know his mother came from Kansas.
So please don't anyone lecture me on ancestry or where Kansas settlers originally came from. It makes no difference to me.
It is my not so humble opinion that those words were not right coming out of his mouth. Period.

I'm neither happy, sad, nor shocked. Whenever I saw McCain, my first thought was always, he's OLD and not as slick. Still, I am happy for our African-American brethren, who can now FEEL like they have a stake in the American dream. If it brings them hope and kids stay in school and gives them inspiration to make good decisions, then I, too, can have hope for them. I will pray for unity of our people and for our new President and for his safety. For the unthinkable to happen now, would definitely tear our country apart.

At the very least, the democrats won't have a super-majority in the house or senate, so they'll have to work with republicans to get the changes they want. We have two years before another batch of Congresscritters come up for re-election. We'll see what changes the democrats want to make, then have us a little revolt at the polls come re-election time.

I cried myself to sleep Tuesday night. Yesterday I couldn't even talk to my Obama supporting co-workers. We just elected one of the most un-godly Presidents ever. He goes against everything I believe in. I was in an angry funk all day. I went to church last night and gave all my anger and frustration to God. Was reminded that God is still on the throne and is still in control and I feel a little better today. Jesus is coming soon.
