The Great Cat
Finally!
Someone else gets it.
Yep. Those pictures are probably gonna give me nightmares tonight. Finally!
Someone else gets it.
I have to laugh. When I was a little girl, I loved those dried shells they left behind and every spring and summer I'd gather them first thing in the morning to make my specialty, Dry Bug Pie. It was just a mud pie garnished with those bug shells but all the old folks would ooh and and aah over them so I was encouraged. I should have known then I'd spend my life in the kitchen or so it seems. The Cicada's are coming soon... those should make for some good pics....and they won't be protected, eat up.
Me too, little guy; me too...
Don't you mean you are not supposed to?I’ve heard good, but you can’t because they are protected. If that happened down her in Florida, it would be a bloodbath or boil bath….
People camping out attacked by giant crabs, yummmmmm…
We were up in the mountains in Cali, camping. Rest had gone to be and as usual I was at the picnic table reading by lantern light. Along came one of those. I jarred it to show everyone in the morning. Freaked out some in the party; surprised me when it came crawling along .Holy shit! That reminds me of the time 6 of us trespassed up an oil well road in Brea, CA. Back before the development. Anyway we were getting ready to have our beer party, spreading the blankets and everything when dozens of huge tarantulas came from the gully and started crossing the road all around us. Needless to say that party didn't happen. Oh and that's when I found out they hopped too.
The first thing a Cajun would say.I wonder how they taste?
Saw that. On the road.Growing up along the foothills in SoCal it was an annual thing, the migration of the Tarantulas.
Makes me think of the scene in "Falling Skies" where a bunch of rednecks thought it would be a good idea to eat a skitter...Cocunit crabs have a diet of stuff that makes you pirge your colon if eaten if memory serves
I am from south Louisiana. As this unsuspecting family enjoyed their freshly cooked barbecue while camping on secluded Christmas Island, off Western Australia's far north-west, the Robber Crabs (AKA Coconut Crabs) gathered around them searching for food. Despite their frightening appearance, the crabs are completely harmless, but (as their name indicates), they often steal food from campsites.
