VIDEO Florida Driver Gets Instant Karma for Road Rage (Video)

I blame this incident completely on her. She had plenty of opportunity to get into the right hand lane after passing the flat bed truck and let the driver of the pickup get around. Courtesy goes a long way on the road. Most drivers will be very tolerant of slower traffic getting into the left lane to pass a vehicle and then get back into the right lane where slower traffic should drive. State law or not.

I drive a very small car and drivers of large vehicles don't like being slowed down if I'm in the left hand lane for longer than necessary. It doesn't matter if I'm doing 75 plus or not.

The legal limit is there for a reason of course, but holding up traffic by being an ass will eventually catch up with you. She's lucky in this case as it she wasn't the one involved in an accident. Next time somebody could pull in front of her and "Brake Check"" very quickly casing a rearender. Then her high and mighty self righteous attitude might get toned down a bit.

I've driven Tampa to Plant City and Orlando. Many times.

You have my sympathies. I4 is a bear and three-quarters even on its best day. It is so crowded now merging can be a nightmare. I gotta admit though, still better than malfunction junction where anything and everything happens ... intersection of I4 and I275. Gack. I don't go anywhere near there if I can help it during rush hour. Problem is that lately it is rush hour 24 hours a day.

Back in 1993 or so, I was driving hazmat tanker. This particular day, I was coming north out of the L.A. basin on I-5, with a 4-compartment trailer. All compartments were filled with different chemicals, two of them HIGHLY flammable. The LEAST toxic chem in that trailer was roughly equivalent to gasoline. I was in the right lane and coming up on an on-ramp. Suddenly, some blue-hair in and older Cadillac convertible comes zooming up along side of me and starts sliding into my line RIGHT UNDER MY TRAILER. Not even looking. I was watching her the whole time, and never once did she look over or at a mirror (top was down). Thankfully, at that instant in time (mid-day, week day) there happened to be a clear spot in the next lane, which I immediately went into. Had I not, she'd have taken the valves out from under the trailer, and I'd have been on the Nightly News for sure.

Some people are just flat-out unfit to be on the road...

People pull this crap all the time on truckers. Because of where our BOL is I drive extensively up and down I75 on a monthly basis. I usually drive at night because most of the worst of the loonies are off the road and in motels and I'm happy to be on the road with the truckers. The one and only time I've ever had a problem, it wasn't really my problem. There was this idiot driver who was buzzing in and out of lanes, basically leap frogging, and I watched the twitter pated fool almost cause two very serious accidents with tractor trailers ... one was hauling milk (don't mess with a liquid trailer as they are a "b" to drive if you dont' have the experience or so says my brother who is a trucker) and the other was a car hauler. Well the driver of the other car scared the bejeebers out of me one too many times and I decided to pace them until we were both out of all the trucker traffic.

I got the finger from the driver and his passengers but I'm in a big astro van and since I've driven one for nearly 18 years I know what they can and cannot do. Some souped up little tin can wasn't going to push me around. Finally we got out passed the line of trucks and I backed off and let him fly. Next rest stop I pull off to wash my clammy hands and I come out to find some men talking to my husband. I think oh crap but then they tipped their hats and go off to their trucks. Seems about ten more miles down the interstate the tin can driver over compensated after almost driving under another tractor trailer and had flipped and taken two more cars out with him. Truckers were giving my husband directions where the best place was to get off and go around the back up. Had the tin can driver done it in the line of trucks we'd been in earlier it would have been a lot, lot worse.

Some people just have no sense.

LOL awesome! The dude is a world-class delta bravo and just couldn't leave it alone after he passed her.

I had an experience a few years ago where I was actually in the RIGHT lane and a guy in a pickup was pulling that same shit. He finally ended up passing me in the passing lane and he FLOORED it. Only problem was there was a cop waiting blacked-out in a dark parking lot and the pickup went past him and the cop hauled ass out of that parking lot after him and was fishtailing all over the place to get up to speed to get him! :siren::siren: He pulled him over and and I went by and waived at the world-class delta bravo. :siren: Better pull out your wallet, bend over and grab your ankles, delta bravo! :applaud::applaud:

Recently another delta bravo messed with me. I was in the passing lane and slowly creeping up on him and each time I'd get near him he'd gas it and then slow down again. After a few times of that he put down his window and stuck his hand out the window and was shaking his finger at me! WTF ? I turned off the cruise and let the car idle for awhile and he kept going. Didn't feel like messing with another delta bravo. The girl in his passenger seat was one lucky girl.

I'm of the opinion that the incident was likely predicated by her Road Ranger behavior. I'd guess the camera just put gas on the fire to the guy who passed her self righteous self.

He totally got what he deserved for being a world class JERK.

Why many online are jumping in and granting the evil wench who was really the causative factor (even though she is too much a moron to understand how or why) proves how many low mile idiots we have to share the road with are actually out there....

Did anyone else notice the jacket on the passenger seat in the lady's auto. I may be wrong but it looked an awful lot like one workers wear when they are on freeways, highways, etc. Maybe she was in left lane because she was looking for something on the center divider. Either way, the jerk that crashed is the only one responsible for his accident, he just had to change lanes.

I'm will to bet that this is what the clown in the truck did! I've seen that exercise more times than I care to count on our highways and byways. And because the pavement was probably a little slick, the moron lost control of his pretty twuck!

Just thought you all would like to know that because they made the guy's name public I was able to research his driving history which is public information here in Florida ... go right to hillsclerk.org

Anyway, this guy is a piece of work. He's been getting tickets for at least 10 years:

9/15/2005 - no insurance, and out of date tag
9/24/2005 - improper title papers on his vehicle (which they only found out about because he tried to take the previous ticket to court)
3/12/2007 - speeding on a county road
7/15/2007 - speeding on a city road
10/5/2009 - ran a red light
3/18/2009 - speeding on a city street
7/3/2010 - speeding through an intersection, running a red light
6/17/2011 - speeding on the Florida turnpike; no/impaired review mirror
9/30/2011 - speeding on a city street

plus the reckless driving, leaving the scene of an accident where damage occurred, and a couple of other things for that little fiasco that made the evening news.

He's also got at least 18 criminal violations as an adult from being a dope dealer, to breaking into cars, to breaking into houses, to domestic abuse, and worse. Again, this is all public record and can be viewed at http://www.hcso.tampa.fl.us/PublicInquiry/Arrest/Inquiry/Search

So, the lesson is be careful judging people. There might indeed be more going on than meets the eye.

Good sleuthing Kathy.

I didnt see anything wrong that the lady did- but the truck driver is clearly an ass and the guilty party here.

Kathy wrote: I don't recognize the road that she is on but it is pretty typical of certain areas. Four lanes separated by a median ... frankly looks like a section of US 41 ... with residential homes facing road and cars sharing the road with truckers. If I knew exactly where it happened I would pull a map for you.

There are railroad tracks parallel to the highway so I'd say 41 is good guess. That would be my guess. Having said that, she should have moved to the right lane. If he's a jerk after that, well, that his problem. Also, she wasn't the least bit concerned that he could be hurt. She just couldn't get past herself.

There's too many wackos on the road to be playing around with who knows what!

Actually in Florida the left lane is designated as a passing lane only on major highways and the interstate

Correct. 41 here is NOT an interstate.

I used to live right by the area filmed in Tampa off of 41. There are constant left turns there, and the cops are pretty thick there and ticket you quickly.

The speed limit is 45 MPH and she filmed that she was doing nearly 50. She also mentioned that she was turning left just up the road in a half mile. That piece of 41 is a PITA because semis drive it all the time. There was one just to her right when she started filming.

One other person commented in the news video that they recognized this guy for doing the same thing to them on a bridge over the bay. Seems like a nutcase to me.

Don't get me wrong, I can't stand people driving slow in the left lane on the interstate. This was no interstate but a 45 MPH road with lots of turns on both sides. She was already driving over the limit. How fast did this clown want to go? If you knew this stretch of highway then you'd know you have to get over when you can or you might not be able to make your turn as it gets crazy.

Welcome to Florida. And even if they did take his license away all you would see is more tickets for "driving with a suspended or revoked" license.
