It takes a lot to wake a cat up completely...

We had a cat like that.

I was in the recliner one day and she fell asleep on her face on the arm. She went so out of it she started sliding off. I thought it was so funny, until she actually did slide off and her first instinct was to stick out a leg and grab whatever, which just so happens to have been my leg.

And to make sure she didn't fall any further she sank her claws in, up to the hilt, and then grabbed my leg with her other leg and claws.

So she hung there for a moment, with her back legs pulled up the way cats do. When all she needed to do was put her feet down and she would be on the floor, but Noooooooo, she had to climb back up (my leg) and get on her arm of the chair.
