Mountain Home
Hi CFI, 28 was a great chapter. I was wondering as I read if maybe after gathering the people in that want to come, if maybe Jack would be thinking about branching out more to get supplies from other places around the country, and if he would be saving some historical things, such as, the Declaration of Independence and things like that. Also, as a reader, I was thinking, after things had calmed down, I'd be thinking about getting books, especially rare ones, and books that would teach the community about medicine and farming etc., to safe places where they could be stored properly. It'd be a shame to let rare books rot somewhere. Then, I'd have to try to store as many CDs, DVDs, and tapes and get musical instruments and get someone to teach the kids to play the different instruments, and of course the great works of art must not be neglected. LOL, the story just makes you think, ok, after this, what would I do next.
Also, when I was reading about transportation, I was thinking about horses . I bet some of those folks would enjoy riding. Maybe Sylvia could ride off into the sunset on one.
I also wondered if there was a nice fishing lake around.
These are just some of the things I got to thinking about as I read this chapter. There are so many directions the story could go. There is enough work to keep everyone busy for a long time.
