Local ups store freaks out if you want to ship ammo or gun barrels. They have always had a special security person to confiscate guns.
s

Please tell me the person grabbing such equipment wears a badge, has training and some sort legal standing before they get bang sticks like a halfass or some sort of verstion like state or federal authority and closer to setting a miniimal standard. It's better than nothing.

Like Dennis says we almost need a separate infrastructure from the woke..... Here is an opportunity for a bonded, secure delivery service for the gun and sporting goods shops.
Even when UPS shipped firearms I had an AR stolen off a brown truck and that was six years ago.

I won’t be using UPS any more.

Me neither.

Was musing....

Nows the time a entrepreneur should take this UPS stance and proof of their idiocy across America to every gun dealerships and offer new services to make delivery of said matrial and any other things that people need shipped.

To bad we're experiencing labor and trucking shortages, and our own government making labor and trucking so expensive, especially as of lately.

IDK

CEO says TWO-THIRDS of ammunition deliveries have gone MISSING with UPS
THE GLENN BECK PROGRAM
That's a lot of ammo. So, where is it now?

Patrick Collins, CEO of TheGunFood.com, says he's "lost" thousands of dollars worth of ammunition. Why? Because customers’ orders don’t always seem to make it to their doors — especially when delivering with UPS. In fact, he says out of 18,000 rounds of ammunition shipped through UPS, only a third were actually delivered. That's a lot of ammo to go missing. So, where is it?

Collins joined Glenn Beck on the radio program to detail the issue, the lengths his company has gone to work with the delivery service, and the lack of detailed response or explanation from UPS.

Collins said UPS blames the packaging even though his company has always "met and exceeded" all available packaging protocols.

"I have pictures of how the packages are packed (and) within the packages," he explained. "And I have all of that information. In fact, we changed our protocol here at TheGunFood.com to have our drivers, when they drop off the packages at the centers, they have to actually take a picture of it on the conveyor belt when UPS takes possession of our packages."

Collins also told Glenn his company isn't the only one to have ammunition go missing during delivery. "I know quite a few other folks, that have had well over $300,000 of ammunition gone missing. And it's really changed the way we have to do our business," he said.

"The Glenn Beck Program" reached out to UPS to ask why ammunition and gun sellers might be having these issues, but the shipping company didn't exactly answer the question.

"Dear Glenn Beck Program ... Regarding your question about shipping ammunition, as a common carrier, UPS transports ammunition that constitutes cartridges and small arms as defined in federal regulations. UPS has safety protocols to help ensure the safe transport of ammunition in our network. We work with our customers to address their concerns including those with packaging. You can find out more about how to ship your ammunition on UPS.com," Glenn read.

"To [UPS], it's just a write-off. However, it's becoming a very expensive write-off. I would like to thank you for bringing a lot of attention to this because it really is a big deal," Collins said to Glenn. "It impacts people on multiple levels, more than your average citizen would think. Imagine if the police department doesn't receive the ammunition that they need to serve their civic duties."

"Well, imagine if you got sloppy with ammunition and you were just kind of losing some from time to time. What would they accuse you of?" Glenn replied. "There's no excuse. It's either theft from their own employees or it is part of a hidden policy that is disrupting the flow of ammunition ... and their stonewalling here bothers me, because there should be an answer. What happened to it?"

First UPS was destroying gun parts and cancelling gun dealers' accounts, now they have ammo going missing? This is not happening by accident.

No, it's not an accident, they've taken it upon themselves to deal with what they consider a gun death culture. Too bad they don't do this with drugs, cause they sure do ship a lot of illegal drugs.

What does the UPS tracking number say happened to it if you are taking photos of it being delivered to UPS's terminal?

I'm hoping that the CEO did not have their UPS shipping account tied to "TheGunFood.com" or anything else OBVIOUS like that with as woke as they are now.

ShellCorps 101: Have multiple public faces if you are doing things that you really don't want known publicly (Company A) vs. (Company B).

Furthermore, put a cheap painting in there and then insure it for many times the amount that it is really worth. If if goes missing, collect the insurance. Hunter Biden can't be 100% wrong...

This right here is the issue.
His packaging is not withstanding the handling process.
I have the same issue with some heavy parts I ship for work.
They loose parts from the packages all the time because they are ripped up.
The boxes in question are 6x6x6 inches sometime upwards of 50 pounds. So about the same size/weight ration you would get with ammo.
I even use double wall boxes. Started wrapping them with strapping tape.
The only other thing I can thing to do is band them, but my volume of those items does not warrant the price of a strapping machine.
But UPS keeps sending checks so I'm kinda just going to keep doing what I'm doing.

Gun food who sells ammo can put an apple tracking device in a package and add it to the price of shipping as well as offering to Insure it for two to three times the worth of the contents. Trust me UPS will be upset to find out the insurance companies want answers from the UPS CEOs.
Stealing firearms is a federal offense with real teeth to it and can be found in the 1968 gun control act, as far as I know this one is almost never enforced.

Had a suppressor returned to me from being upgraded. Was sent back next day service UPS. Was tracking it and it showed that it had arrived at the local hub for delivery and then said headed to Marthas Vineyard or Nantucket. I called UPS and they were not real helpful. That happens sometimes. Gets put in the wrong truck. It may take a couple days to show up etc etc. The minute I said welll if you have lost the package I need to notify the ATF as it is a restricted item they changed. They were very serious and I got it early the next morning.

I worked for Fedex Ground for numerous years and ammo was a problem. No matter how well packaged, the packaging broke. The weight of the package was the problem in the conveyor system. Heavy weight packages versus light weight packages. At our facility we started training the package handlers not to put ammo on the conveyor.
