Great plan - watch Western productivity take a nose dive - their "suggestions" have already wrecked the EU - no coffee but maybe - just maybe - their is a type of BUG which they are pushing we eat that could be roasted and substituted?

I'm not a coffee drinker, but as a caffeine imbiber (tea), I'm in solidarity with you all.

I have to wonder, though, how many people, thinking they are doing something *good*, actually will stop (or try to stop) drinking coffee.

Poor checkout girl was telling me how great "mushroom fake coffee" tasted. Sounded like she was on some kind of monthly order plan with different flavors. I tried to act interested.

I can't handle caffeine anymore...makes my heart race and I'm all fluttery inside for hours. Cut out the caffeine and it stopped. BUT I still LOVE my morning coffee, it's decaf now but you mess with it and I will hurt you. Everyone here knows to just not talk to me till that cup is in my hand. Got a couple daughters that if you mess with their coffee they'll hurt you too. One of them tried that mushroom coffee and didn't like it so gave it to me. It's got almost as much caffeine as coffee! I about climbed out of my skin when I tried it. It wasn't bad per say but it isn't coffee!

They won’t make you quit. They’ll just put a penalty carbon tax on that, and everything else they want to take away. You won’t be able to afford it … rice, beans, cigarettes, bottled water, etc.

Bugs will be plentiful and affordable. They will still have everything they want, they’re rich. Sucks to be you.

Similar to fake-meat for vegetarians. They can't call it what it is. It's not meat and that isn't coffee. There's hot chocolate, why can't they call it hot mushroom drink?

Given chicory's possibility as an "alternative", very likely it will be found by TPTB as MORE damaging to something or other.

There is no escape for you. Bugs and rainwater out of a rusty hub cap.

You will own nothing - and be happy.

But don't expect them to keep you in the style to which you are accustomed.

And I suspect that all this has nothing to do with long term survival of the specie - except maybe THEIR personal being.

They get more when you get less...
