Prayers for your wife, Bones...

Summerthyme
Daughter and son in law are finally back to work today, having recovered well enough to drive without fear of causing an accident.
Now.....as of yesterday morning, my sweet best girl/wife of 33 years has contracted it. Home test positive.
Fever, body aches, chills, headache.
We've spent the past nearly 2 years educating ourselves, and arming our immune systems as well as our stock of treatment and plans for what we considered the inevitable. And so it has come to pass.
We have except framily guiding and offering tutelage, to which we are eternally grateful and adhering to.
She is absolutely miserable. We have made a pact to each other that under no circumstances will we go to the hospital here....i e. The Place To Go To Die.
IF Our Gracious Heavenly Father is to call us home, we will depart on our own terms, and from the arms of each other's mortal coil in our own home.
We are isolating, taking from the arsenal of meds and supplements we've parceled together, resting, and encouraging each other.
I am not down with this maleficent curse unleashed on humanity, nor do I have intent to. So far, so good anyway. I'm too busy taking care of my everything to be anything but her caretaker as she has been for me these past 7½ years.
For something like this I'd use FedEx. My recent experience is that USPS is hopelessly slow and the tracking updates can be a day behind.I just got word the 20 IVM pills finally arrived. I got my buddy some hope at last. He's got several days worth until the paste and other pills arrive. I mailed them on the 12th first class. Never doing that again. Priority mail with tracking number from now on. He's been in Hospital since Monday the 10th. He's on O2 and Remdisivir.
Um, no. I priority mailed my shoes that didn’t fit back to the seller on January 3rd. They finally arrived on January 17th! I asked my ex (who runs a little post office) what was up with that, and she said that even priority is getting very slow. Reconsider the USPS at all. UPS currently has the best on-time delivery stats.I just got word the 20 IVM pills finally arrived. I got my buddy some hope at last. Added my brother back on. It’s day 25 and we had to take him to the hospital. He has moderate to severe Covid pneumonia. He tested positive on New Year’s Eve. Was getting better, then he wasn’t. So here we are.
His dying wish was to try the pills. He knew they arrived and he was desperate to take them. Dam, I did everything possible to help my friend, even giving him all the IVM I had and just knowing his wife didn't bring the pills on her one visit just angers me all to hell.I'm sorry energy_wave. That is terrible.
I originally had 6 people - had to add a 7th at some point last week - but now I think I can remove everybody from the count. It's been a long, rough time, and I'm still not feeling great.
I just prayed for you, StarryEyedLad, I hope you you start to feel better soon. Glad the others in your circle are recoverin!.
They say the 3rd time is the charm and I really hope so....because here we go again. Youngest son's best friend (who is fully vaxxed)tested positive yesterday, son started fever, congestion, sore throat about 11 last night and is now coughing and crap.
Adding my husband to the count. His parents are both, still in ICU. One on a vent and one not.
