Misc Woot Champion 2000 watt inverter generator deal

Quiet Man

Nothing unreal exists
I thought about this deal from Woot for quite a while, but after looking at the details, and cogitating, and then looking at other generators -- then more cogitation -- I decided to stick with Champion, but step up to something just as portable, but with a little more power and which will run on propane as well as gasoline.

I ended-up getting two of this model from Champion. I finally found time to do the break-in on them this weekend.

I really like them. They run quiet and exceed their stated power stats -- I'm getting around rated power even though I'm at 7,000 feet above sea level. So far absolutely no trouble. Very nice, solid feel and responsiveness. I will get the high altitude jets to save fuel.

If you go this route just be aware that you're going to have do do more priming pulls on propane than the Quick Start guide says because you are starting with air in the regulator and supply hose. Oh, and while the guide shows the maintenance panel (for oil access) on the side with the pull starter handle, it's really the opposite side.
