I love that private individuals are stepping up to help. Not looking forward to FEMA showing up and making it a fustercluck.

Fema or the red cross showed up after the big fires east of Austin a few years ago.

Locals had been dealing with things for several days, then .guv walked in and tried to take charge and tell everybody how it was gonna be done.

They got run out of town.

That's the sort of thing that happened after Katrina. The gov. military came in and prevented all the local boats and supply trucks from helping....and that's how/why the Cajun Navy was born.

By the time the next hurricane came around, Cajuns were already prepared and showed up in droves to overwhelm FEMA. They had no choice but to let the local boats launch and trucks assist. :jstr:

Internet EXPLODES As Biden Explains ‘Cause’ of Texas, Maui ‘Wildfires’ | ‘He’s Talking About LAZERS’

Benny Johnson brought this out today from Bidens gaff visit to Texas
I just caught this
Biden talking about the fires in the Texas panhandle
And he said
All these buildings and house gone
Except the ones with the “right” roofs
What the hell
Did he just confirm what people are saying about the Lahaina fire?
How about those massive fires in NE Canada earlier this year.
Anyone remember the thousands of cattle in western Kansas in the feed lot. Just dead

Folks this may or may not be woooo
Is our govt really experimenting with laser weapons technology
On us? On American
I’m conflicted

Last thing I ever want is to support anything Biden says however when I lived in Amarillo there was a lot of discussion on roofing material… no one wanted a metal roof due to the hail chances and asphalt shingles and cedar shingles were the two big discussions. As I recall cedar was better at holding up against hail and was treated for fires… + if you knew a fire was a chance you could soak the roof…. Asphalt not so much. It has been15 years or so since I lived in that area… I did get run out of my neighbor hood once due to a fire when living there… helicopter flew over and went to a pond across the hwy and sucked water As a sourse… only reason my neighborhood made it

Grass fires happen.

Sometimes, they get big.
Let us put that into perspective, we can easily and fully understand.

1 acre is a plot 66 feet by 280 or, 43560 square feet

A square mile is 640 acres

if you have 1,100,000 acres burned, that means 1,100,000acres /640acre per square mile is 1,718.75 square miles burned off in 2 days. granted 60 - 70 mph winds helped fan the fuel. But like Paradise and Lahaina streetlight poles, cars melted, houses burned to ashes except for those blue cars trucks and houses that had blue roofs.

Added to the address that the Paradise fire consumed 153,336 acres or 239 square miles.

The Lahaina fire was only 2,170 acres or 3.3 square miles.

How many major highways will go up soon?

Two states bucking Biden Texas and Florida both have major problems.

Not for a second do I think there is not a link.

This satanic pedo politician bunch do not want to play cowboys and deep state. When we finally get off the couch, it's gonna make the Saxon look like a piker. Hasten the day.

That's great! Wish they had done it here too. When they took charge in my area after a fire the ladies that had been feeding everyone were not allowed in with their chili because cooking facilities ( their homes) hadn't been approved. Great pots of homemade chili deemed dangerous. It would be over my dead body I ever gave a cent to those organized charities.

Though I doubt it
Way to many folk in a
Dream state
Thinking normalcy still exists

When their rations run out and the power is cut. When they get a letter demanding they give up all they built and paid good green for so an immivader can move in free. When taxes go up more than money coming in. When...

One day, that War Fetter will be removed. Party time.

And a wildfire can travel upwards of 200 mph, they can develop their own weather systems, etc.,

Heard news is now calling this THE BIGGEST wildfire in Texas history.

And could someone refer me to whatever post or thread or article or whatever that all this "blue roof" stuff is about?

The only kind of "blue roof" I know about is either on an I-HOP or when blue tarps are put over house roofs--usually after they're blown off in a tornado.....

The "blue roof" thing is in reference to the Maui fire, where the only buildings surviving had blue roofs....One, iirc, was some public restroom out on the beach.... the others, mansions.

So, I guess "they" are just about ready to acquire the land for 15 minute cities?

We are under attack!
Yes we are under attack. Amarillo is slated to become a smart city. Burn out the ranchers, gov or elites take the land. There is local push back against this smart city agenda.

You can read what Peggy Hall says below the video rather than having to watch the video.

Pride comes before the fall.....Pride month ended.
An acre is 208 feet by 208 feet.

Whan a fire is moving fast, it burns past a lot of fuel. A slow fire moving into the wind burns most thoroughly. In some ways the speed of the fire lessens the damages. This obviously varies based on other parameters.

Texas Governor Greg Abbott Says 500 Structures Confirmed Destroyed In The Texas Fires

Extremely Concerning Because He Says These Aren’t Like Normal Fires.

Normally Something’s Left Of The Structures But Strangely They're “Completely gone. Nothing left”

“I have witnessed and observed some extraordinary damage in our state. Could be caused by hurricanes or tornadoes, and frequently when you see the aftermath of that damage, there's a some symbol as of a structure that is still there.

When you look at the damages that have occurred here, it's just gone. Completely gone. Nothing left but ashes on the ground.

Some early, and I will categorize as premature assessments, show that there are about 400 to 500 structures that have been destroyed. There's no way to say for certainty that's gonna be the final number because there's still the ongoing assessment process.”

Makes You Wonder If It Was A DEW (Directed Energy Weapon) Used Reminder* The Texas Fires Happened In The Exact Location Of The State Where 88% Of Texas Cattle Feed

Remember back in the 2010 census, where they took GPS coordinates of every front door of every dwelling in the country?

Wonder what they could do with that info, to those of us who don't play their game.

Been having a difficult time finding it.
Was outta town til late Sunday.
Managed to get 16 25lb bags.
Had a buddy grab 9 in town an hour away.
Found 15 bottles n nipples.
Will drop half off this morning with a caravan my county commissioner has going towards Canadian.

Some calves made it through the barbed wire fence/ momma’s didn’t.

Several calf barns being set up.

Yes, there is hay coming from many states.

Folks are amazing

All we can do is try,

In the late seventies we had a pretty bad drought in MN. A guy hauling a barrel of ashes to the dump started fires along a few miles of road. It was very windy. My cousin had just completed building a new house amongst the jack pines and hadn't moved in yet. I went and looked at it after the fire. The only thing left was the concrete basement and a small blob of metal that was the furnace. There were rows of nails on the basement floor.

You are right about how amazing folks are , I live next to Sanford ranch on the east side of Fritch and I've seen countless truck loads of hay being taken to the ranch .
There are so many places giving help and donations it is unreal .My daughter had so many friends give her and her children clothes that she donated some back . This disaster has brought out the best in people around here and around the country. A lot of donations , especially the hay and other animal feed has come from all over the country.

Xcel Admits Its Equipment Sparked Texas' Worst Ever Wildfire

BY TYLER DURDEN
THURSDAY, MAR 07, 2024 - 10:05 AM

Fair use cited

On Thursday morning, electric utility Xcel Energy stated, "Our facilities appear to have been involved in an ignition" of the worst wildfire in Texas history.

The Smokehouse Creek fire, which started on Feb. 26, has burned over 1.2 million acres and destroyed hundreds of buildings and thousands of cattle in the Texas Panhandle area.

"Based on currently available information, Xcel Energy acknowledges that its facilities appear to have been involved in an ignition of the Smokehouse Creek fire," Xcel wrote in a press release.

Xcel said it has been cooperating with investigations about the wildfire and has launched its own review of the incident. However, the company denied claims "that it acted negligently in maintaining and operating its infrastructure."

Last week, Xcel Energy revealed in a filing with the Securities and Exchange Commission that attorneys asked the company to preserve a splintered power pole near where the fire started.

Shares of Xcel have plunged 15% since the fire began.

Meanwhile, BBC News blames "climate change."
