Why does everything shut down TWICE, like a shell inside a shell?

ainitfunny

Saved, to glorify God.
When I close my computer everything (programs, desktop) closes down, then appears again and closes down again, TWICE and I just feel I am running a shell while someone else has control. It is slow too, and sometimes I wait for things to happen after I just hit a key to type a letter or number.

mine started that a few weeks ago.,
i am ready to throw the desktop into a trashcan.. it too slowed down and is aggravating and i am getting short fused.

Firefox just released a suspension to fix the Java file that is eating up all the memory. I tried it, and tho it is much improved performance it still isnt as fast as it was last month.

I deleted all the cookies...and it is a DSL high speed link and I run naked on the net, but i beleive that the dial ups are still running faster...... so its something ??? else

looking for more suggestions.
please

First question: What are you guys running? (WinXP, Vista, Mac OS-x, etc.)
Have you run a good AV scan?

Let me know, maybe we can solve this together. :groucho:

If ya'll have the same weird stuff like me and AintFunny with goofy out of control mice, programs that freeze or wont shut down, high speed internet that crawls, and telephone lines that freeze up, well ->
Finally figured out my Desktop has Worms. Its not the phone, its not the DSL, its not the wiring, it was hijacked by Worm.KoobFace.A

Here is the diagnosis links, but i dont know about a cure yet.....

Cybercriminals using deceptive Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor e-mail to conceal trojan

BitDefender has spotted a new deceptive e-mail that is making the rounds infecting users with a trojan.
The e-mail is seeing a healthy infection success rate as it purports to be a Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor. It even uses the same text as the real compatibility checking tool, but in this case the user downloads malware instead.
According to BitDefender:
Instead of the promised compatibility checking tool, the zip file hides Trojan.Generic.3783603. This piece of malware contains malicious or potentially unwanted software which it drops and installs on the system. Frequently, it installs a backdoor which allows remote, clandestine access to the infected system. This backdoor may then be used by cybercriminals to upload and install additional malicious or potentially unwanted software on the captured system.
It is expected that this malware will do well because Windows 7 is a hot topic at the moment and many users are considering an upgrade. The situation won’t be helped by the fact users may pass the e-mail on to friends or share details via social networking. The end result will be a lot of infected machines with remote, backdoor access.
Ensure your anti-virus solution is up-to-date and you don’t open any e-mail attachments that come from an unknown or untrusted source.
