Sorry if this has been mentioned before.
Search Mike Benz on YouTube. He's MikeBenzCyber on Twitter.
He has taken public files, public videos, etc. and cut through the spaghetti and spider web to show how the alphabet agencies and high-tech firms and others are "all-in" in telling us how to vote and that their "democracy" is the only democracy, not the people's.

In other words... the non elected types! Not surprised in the least after my aunt told me about what went on at her job, back in the 70's when she worked for the fed gov at the dept of agriculture.

A lot of you will like this guy -

and, of course my former neighbors, who moved further north last year, Eric and Ariel with Simple Living Alaska where they create and do all the things for sustaining off grid. Hard work and a lot of enjoyable and gorgeous content. Well worth the time, I promise!

Edit, thought I was commenting on Simple Living Alaska.

This channel is my absolute favorite. Good content, hard working, varied, good food, excellent scenery.
I’ve watched from when they moved to Alaska. It’s fun to see their progress.

If this is ok, I thought it might be interesting for people to collect interesting YouTube videos. This can include recipes, compilations, science, prepping, movies or just anything you think the other members would enjoy watching. Include time and a quick synopsis of material and run time. It should probably include why you thought this would be interesting to the people on the forum. If you put in recipes you should include if you tried them and how they turned out. I have tried several YouTube recipe videos that look good but really were disappointing. If you put a video in you should have watched it. So many videos are have misleading titles.

One of my favorite motivational videos was by Randy Pausch. He was diagnosed with a terminal illness yet this video does not seek sympathy but seeks to show how fortunate Randy felt in his life. I was totally captivated by him.

I think it is one hour and 14 minutes long and I have seen it several times now. I even bought the book. I would love for my kids to be as motivated as he was.

I like to watch police chases, pit maneuvers and arrests. Especially Missouri officers.

I recently found the YouTube channel for the Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, in AZ. There is a series they call Fridays with Frank that I really enjoy. Frank is the kindest, calmest cop you could ever meet. Middle aged. The people he pulls over are mostly either old and PO’d or young and stupid. In one video, he actually says “We are so screwed” to the teenager he pulled over.

Here‘s one to get you started. 8:24

Escape to rural France

Latest episode rebuilding a fire ravaged chateau.

Rt 13:36

I was on a work crew in France a long time ago, was driving the company truck full of stuff and drove by an abandoned Chateau. I pulled over and did a short scout. Around the back half a wall was missing that led into the great hall. I went in but didn't go exploring, place was falling apart but still had a grandeur to it. There were stairs leading up, water was dripping from holes in the roof. Just in front of me was a GIANT fire place with the fire pit flanked by two giant lions holding it up. The fire pit was easily my height. As I study history and always have, it was a quick look into a bygone era, sad and majestic at the same time. Outside it smelled of fresh earth and grass.

I watch some of those too, the ones where the guy just picks a lawn that has not been maintained, and does it for free. Usually older people that can’t do it anymore. It’s funny how some neighbors will complain because he’s making too much noise!

I find those neighbors to be annoying as hell and you know full well they're the ones calling the city on the elderly/disabled person!

Do you ever wonder how to use all the things in that Victrinox SAK you feel now cost you too much money? I did and ran into Felix, I won't post an individual video but his Channel instead and you go from there. Felix is in Switzerland, his English is pretty good but don't increase the playback speed.

I thought this was very interesting. It will make you wonder where the worlds technology really is. It has some very interesting applications for weapons and defense as well as regular everyday uses.

( I want to know how his 1996 7.3 Powerstroke cold starts (no plug in heat) at -30°f. Mine wouldn't start without heat at +20°f! )

The Somers are truly great people. My sister lives close to them and called Burt to see if he could help the Mom of a special needs kid in her class (sis teaches at North Pole High School) and he went right over and got things fixed for her on a very cold day. Truly godly and lovely family. Recent vid of -50 day up there recently.

Currently trending on Netflix is a version (done by the Game of Thrones peeps) of the Chinese SF "The Three Body Problem", which is the first in a trilogy. I haven't read the books; I have only watched this version and the earlier Chinese TV series.

I have to say that the Chinese TV series, while it moves glacially slow, is better. You get more of an understanding of a certain character, another character is more charismatic than was portrayed in the Netflix series, and as a bonus you get an understanding of what it was like in China during the cultural revolution (Mao). (I did not like that the Netflix version went beyond the scope of the first novel in the trilogy, "The Three Body Problem", delved into later parts of the trilogy, and totally messed with the characters AND a couple of important scenes. This is a work of fiction done by a Chinese author, most of the characters are Chinese, the first novel was mostly set in China, yet in the Netflix version, they've turned a male character into a female *spit* and done who knows what other probably woke things... "inclusivity", you know. The Chinese series pretty much sticks to the first of the three novels.)

For those willing to give it a try, here is a link to the Chinese series (subcaptioned in English): Three-Body | Watch with English Subtitles, Reviews & Cast Info | Viki Not YouTube, but no paywalls or anything...

So many videos are have misleading titles.
This is a rampant problem. I've unsubcribed to many prepper videos I use to watch regularly. They are not talking to me anymore, they are talking to newbies.

Since I've gotten old just about none of the ones mentioned interest me except the one on the uses of hydrogen peroxide.

I usually watch Stix, but he's current events.

I love gardening, homesteading and cooking channels. I also love animal rescue channels like The Asher House. Lee Asher is a saint.

Roots and Refuge
Acre Homestead
Cosmopolitan Cornbread
That 1870’s Homestead
The seasonal Homestead
Living Traditions Homestead
Homestead Heart and others
Garden Answer
epic Gardening
the impatient gardener
GoldShaw Farm

of and as a side note. I love pet grooming videos. Girl with the dogs is awesome. She is very funny and she specializes in large dogs or dogs that no one else will touch. She will even groom cats. The furnados that happen when she grooms Great Pyrenees is hysterical..

I'm pretty much addicted to audio books, so I would recommend that. Perhaps start with the Federalist Papers, and get down to the basics.

I am totally addicted to audiobooks and listen almost constantly during the day while I'm working. I think a lot of people are missing the boat on them. I get most free from youtube but also have an audible subscription and get one free book every month. I love book series and can listen to them multiple times as long as there is a year or so in between. Ever so often, Audible will have a great sale that enables me to add to my series collections. I'm currently on the last book of a 22 book series that I've listened to in chronological order, one after the other for the first time. I'd listened to or read all of them over the years but not in one sitting so to speak.

22 books is an exceptionally large series.

May I ask, what do you mean people are missing in regard to audio books?
