So good to hear that you and son are feeling better today, Kyrsyan!
Sherree - good to hear that you and family are safe!
You all are making me smile while I read your posts today - planning ahead, figuring things out, thinking of ways to make do!
I did manage to get to Dollar General yesterday evening yesterday after daughter picked up the grandson. I picked up only sale items - a large jug of Purex laundry detergent for me, and a tub and two bags of laundry detergent pods for daughter. I also got heavily discounted razors and Gold Bond lotion at their clearance sale as well; and found a package of my favorite cookies that were a Dollar less than at the grocery store (yep, I checked the weight to make sure it just wasn't a smaller package when I got home.)
I didn't sleep well last night because the dang coyotes were running through the yard yipping and howling, so I'm dragging a bit. Hubby doesn't like it when I jerk open the window to howl back at them or blow the air horn while he's trying to sleep - he's just so unreasonable
So he shouldn't be surprised if he comes home from work to find me snoozing in my recliner this afternoon. So far, all I've managed to actually get done is feed the indooor and outdoor cats, carry the non-perishables in from the van and put them away, throw one load of clothes in the dryer and another one in the washer, start a pot of coffee, run the dust mop over the floors, wash the dishes (more to limber up my hands in the hot water so I can type than needing to wash the few there were), then cut up an apple to have for breakfast or actually lunch, looking at the time - while the coffee was brewing.
It was in the high 20's when I got up, and is now up to 40; the temp is supposed to get up to 60*F today and near 70*F tomorrow, so I'm going to try to do some outside things before the temps drop again. My plan is to get my necessary inside work done this morning since it's windy - which makes it chillier outside; then I'll do my outside work in the warmer temps and sunshine this afternoon. One thing I need to do is clean my van - between grand-dog, grandsons, and everything thing that's been tracked in, it really needs it! Though why I'm going to bother since mud season has hit with a vengeance, I'm not exactly sure
One thing I'm thinking about doing is switching out the carpeted floor mats in the van for rubber ones; and I'm going to keep my eyes out for discounted seat covers as well - I got a set of two for the seat the grand-dog uses on clearance a couple of years back for $14 - they don't match the seats in the van, but they do match his fur
I particularly want to find a cover for whatever seat middle grandson is going use when I go to his away from home track meets since I'll be bringing him home from several of them as daughter's work schedule doesn't give her enough time for travel to go to the away meets. Sweaty, muddy adolescent boys stink, so I want something washable! Note to self - remember to send him in to the bathroom with a change of clothes, a zipper bag for his uniform, and a baggie with some baby wipes before we leave so he can give the pits 'n bits a wipe down before climbing in my van. Some of those meets are nearly an hour away, and I've got a sensitive nose
Plus I figure he'll want to stop to eat on the way home and I'm not taking a smelly kid into a restaurant. Dang unreasonable Grandmas anyway...
Looking at the weather forecast, we've got rain predicted for Thursday and Friday, so whatever I want to get done outside needs done in the next few days. Hubby will be off work on Tuesday and Friday, so I've started a list for Tuesday - mostly just checking the tires on my little trailer since it's getting close to hauling Sale Barn composted manure season again, filling the Buggy with fuel, and tightening up the clotheslines so I can hang my sheets to dry and the feather blankets to fluff back up without them touching the ground. While he's doing that, I'll pull the fence posts and tomato cages out of the ground and get them cleaned up for the upcoming garden.
Well, I've been up and down from the computer a dozen times to do things - and really haven't manage to get much of anything done while doing so; reckon I'd better get my list done so I can get to work:
Fold clothes in dryer
Put clothes from washer in to dryer
See what if there is anything else in the van that needs carried in
Shake out the floor mats in the van; run the lint rollers over the seats and floor
Put daughter's laundry detergent back in the van (got carried in by accident)
Pick up trash that blew into the yard
Gather up the cat bowls that blew off the porch
Put together some kind of cassarole for supper (and work lunches) probably pasta, chicken sausage, red sauce, cheese, and Italian seasonings
Put the cooler back in the van
Try not to take a nap so I can sleep tonight
Sort seeds
Find graph paper
Ugh - I need a nap
