Thank you very much.Well, I haven't said much lately.
Had lots of my tomatoes come up.....and DIE in the big bubble like containers I used. Apparently it is NOT a good growing environment!
I will restart them in a more traditional planter with a dome.
Lost internet access the first 5 days of last week. Actually was a GOOD thing! I got some things done that needed doing!!! And I read, and read and READ on the 3 rainy days we had I believe at last count I read 9 books in 5 days ..... all murder mysteries. I am ADDICTED to them, even though I can generally tell you who the criminal is by the 3rd chapter or so. Some Doomer Porn included also....
I am SO LAZY this Spring!!! I HOPE I can motivate myself to get the garden going!!! I am excited about it, but I can only sleep, at most 4 hours at a time, due to bone and joint pain. I get up about 3 or 4 AM. Drink a WHOLE pot of coffee (I make weak coffee), and then by 9 or 10, am ready for the rest of my 8 hours of sleep, but many times I can't go back to sleep, or only for an hour or 2. Gonna have to modify this in order to be able to catch the cool part of the day for garden work! NEED to work in the garden from dawn until around noon. About 4-5 hours.
The baby goats are fine. I haven't gotten a picture yet. They are WILD!!! They must not have been handled at ALL! I have yet to be able to touch one of them longer than a minute or so ....and that is only the smallest one. I can't let them out until I have the whole area fenced, which I can easily do with the 30 or so kennel panels I have. Have also got electric fencing, cattle panels, and several other fencing materials. These little babies are pretty small Nigerian Dwarf and Pygmy crosses, so I will have to be careful. I have made a big stall for them in the Quonset hut and they are fairly happy.....dancing, running and jumping everywhere!! Absolutely ADORABLE!!
I know what you mean Barry about liking this part of TB2K best.....I never really felt accepted here until I found this area. Yes, the support is WONDERFUL!!! I am also including your wife in my prayers Barry. Don't know how I missed doing that before....so now I have everyone with chronic illnesses in this area on my intercessory prayer list. If anyone else wants to be added or I don't know about you, please let me know....I currently have Moldy, Southern Breeze, Summerthyme,
Skwentnaflyer, Kyrsyan and her son, Nomifyle, and Anna43......let me know if I left you out.....
Well, that's about it from here!!
You won't regret it. I love being able to preserve eggs and fresh fruit. For the past few months I've been making yogurt with older powdered milk, turning that yogurt and fruit into smoothies, and then freeze drying the smoothies. Yummy stuff. We’re pretty excited. We just brought home a HarvestRight freeze dryer. We figured right now it was a purchase worth making as opposed to leaving that money sitting in the bank. Mostly excited to be able to preserve our excess eggs and fruit harvest.
This is on the longer to get list. Because we would use this so much. I already use the heck out of 4 dehydrators. We’re pretty excited. We just brought home a HarvestRight freeze dryer. That, and the whole I'll put it in a place where I'll never forget. I always forget.Lol. The story of my life. I wrote it down somewhere.

Here is the recipe for shampoo that I use. There many variables that can customize it for your particular type of hair.
1cup distilled water to 1 cup of Castile soap
2 tsp almond oil or jojoba oil. There are many other oil options. It will be thinner than store bought. I keep it in a squeeze bottle like you put condiments in. While I have short hair my daughter has long slightly oily hair. I cut the almond oil in half for her. Have fun experimenting! I basically use whatever oil I have on hand. The ratios stay the same for me.
Empty and cleaned ketchup, mustard, or other bottle works well. Thanks so much! I love almond oil, so that's what I'll use, but cut it in half. I already have it and Castile liquid soap on hand which makes this recipe even better. I need to find a squirt bottle of some kind, though. That shouldn't be a problem.

And they look really cool in the shower!!Empty and cleaned ketchup, mustard, or other bottle works well.

Has anyone tried shampoo and conditioner bars? I'm thinking about trying some. I've used shampoo bars briefly, but not conditioner bars. I'd like to move to as natural as possible, but I still want my hair and my daughters hair to look good.
I'm having some dental work done tomorrow, and I'm already fighting anxiety over it. It has to be done though, and I'm sure I will be relieved when it's done. I'll most likely have several more appointments to finish up in the next month or so. Our close friend and neighbor has volunteered to fix dinner for us, and I'm so thankful for that! I probably won't feel like eating much for a few days, but my family certainly will.
Sheree,
I'm praying for you! I'm so sorry you're in pain!
