Took my little hike group out in the woods and creek yesterday. We learned various ways to safely make a fire, especially when it has been raining. The kids got the flint and steel right away and really enjoyed that.
Then we did a tarp shelter and made tent stakes.
They cooked food over their fire and swam in the creek. Beautiful weather and so peaceful.
I'm just piddling today and hope to have a slow and easy week.
Hubs plowed up a nice square by the chicken coop for me that gets full sun. The dirt is a beautiful black. I'm hoping to put a fall garden there and see how it does.
The beans and tomatoes are really coming in so daughter will start canning soon.
