Has No Life - Lives on TB
Oh no. I've been craving warmth and sunshine.I'll trade you weather, kyrsyan.... I walked out to take the trash out this morning; the temp was 36*F and the wind was blowing so hard from the north that my pine trees (that I planted as a child) that are 30-40 feet from the driveway were bending waaaay over. I decided to move the van into Hubby's parking spot; he can decide if he wants to park in my spot or by the machine shed.
Walgreen's used to have some reusable heat packs you could nuke in the microwave - I think they had some sort of clay in them; then a flannel cover you slipped the pack into to keep it from burning you. I may have to stop in the next time I'm in town and see if they still have them. I figure that electric and propane rates are going to just keep going up, so we will probably need to find other ways to stay warm. I remember putting one of those heat packs in a sleeping bag when I'd sit down to read - I'd climb in with the zipper to my front and zip it up to my chest; then fold what was left over my arms/chest; those heat packs would keep me cozy for a long time while I read.
I can't use the microwavable ones. The microwave died a few months back and I have no wish to replace it. The reusable packs I have are the click ones that reset in boiling water. I've got a few but I'm going to look for some larger ones.
