WATCH: James Woods makes unnerving prediction about Hawaiian fire aftermath

Hollywood actor James Woods is joining the chorus of Americans outraged about this month's wildfires on the Hawaiian island of Maui.

"Someday after all the land is appropriated, Hollywood will make a movie about this," Woods said Sunday, as he shared a video featuring survivor accounts in the wake of the blazing catastrophe.

"Rich people in tuxedoes will celebrate their compassion and give each other little gold statues. And then everything will be forgotten," Woods predicted.

The original compilation video Woods shared was posted by Dr. Anastasia Maria Loupis, who captioned the clips as "Eyewitness Accounts of Police Blocking the Escape Road out of Town."

She wondered aloud: "Why did the police turn off the sirens and block the escape road?"

The voice of a Maui native on the video says: "There was a police barricade blocking the street solo people couldn't get out. But the people trying to escape in those that you see burnt, they were blockaded in there.'

"The water was shut off. Firefighters couldn't fight this. Local people couldn't save their own homes.

"School was canceled that day. You had children ... babies and elderly trapped in the homes."

"Make sure the world knows what is happening, what is really going on because I can promise you guys this. And, of course, I have to say allegedly so I don't get in trouble. You guys are not seeing the same news and social-media posts as to what's actually going on there.

"I can tell you that the one that's coming from the media allegedly ... are absolutely trash. It is not true and they're painting a different picture and they're trying to create division. ... They're following orders."

"When it comes time to rebuild, they're going to price the sh** out of everything. They are going to raise the prices and make it darn near impossible for people to rebuild. Realtors are gonna be out there trying to buy up the land and sell it to corporations or the tourist industry or '1 percenters' that are trying to go over here and buy up the land and all this dies down and it's quiet. They're going to steal their land. They're going to have no others choice but to sell."

The native Hawaiian also pushed back against suggestions the government would engage in a land grab of the coveted properties.

"You don't get to say what happens to that ground."

Another video posted by Paul Gleason responding to James Woods voiced some strange facts and anomalies about the blazes.

"There were no emergency sirens activated to warn residents despite the presence of these sirens on the island. It's baffling, isn't it?" said the narrator.

"Another thing to note is that school was canceled on that day, meaning that all the kids were at home. Imagine the panic and confusion tat must have ensued. But here's where it gets even more alarming.

"When residents tried to fight the flames approaching their homes using hoses, they were greeted with a shocking revelation. The water had been shut off. Can you imagine the desperation and frustration they must have felt? Both residents and firefighters were left without this crucial resource.

"And, as if that wasn't enough, the situation at Front Street in Lahaina added an extra layer of disbelief. Residents attempting to evacuate were met with a police barricade, preventing them from moving even as the flames closed in. It's mind-boggling to think that orders were given to keep those cars stationary despite the imminent danger.

"Now brace yourself for some strange anomalies. The temperature of the flames was intense enough to burn tires in aluminum on vehicles. Weirder still, some blue umbrellas were left unscathed while trees stood strong amidst the devastation. But perhaps the most puzzling aspect is the selective preservation of blue-colored objects near destroyed areas. It defies logic and raises even more questions about what actually happened."

Reactions to the video shared by Woods include:

"I was in Lahaina a week before the fires. The Hawaiian government caused this fire by not shutting down power lines in 85 mph winds and Biden's government did nothing to help after."

"Why the admin couldn't rally people together for this, similar to the way we rallied as a nation following 9/11 is beyond me."

"On 9/11 people were told to go back up to their offices. In Maui, they were barricaded in. The people that survive are the ones that defy authority."

"It's an apocalypse. Your words are true. It breaks my heart."

"What I don't understand is, how with over likely 1,000 dead Americans ... this isn't being seen as on the same level as Sept 11. It's bizarre how the News isn't reporting on this."

"Because they know their green agenda caused it.

There sould have been dead cops at this point.

The person that turned the water off needs to be arrested Immediately

I truly don’t understand how the police officers could blindly follow those orders while watching the fires approaching front street. It defies logic. At the very least they should have been requesting new instructions and confirmation. Then even still you have to make informed decisions and it’s clear that the person issuing those orders were incompetent, misinformed or criminally negligent. They should have been disregarded.

If they won't let you out, resort to "alternative" measures.

From what I understand there is a pissing match about who (cough...cough...cou-porations) actually own the water rights.

The "new" Lahaina will be built to code with building permits handed out by the same PTB that did a lot of things during the fire and it's aftermath that truly piss off a lot of people. Think many locals will be able to build to code? Or to what the PTB determined the best use of the property? Property that was rezoned for commercial development by the PTB while it was still burning? How many of those permits do you think will end up in the hands of the original property owners? If they're still alive?

The Police issue is truly puzzling. I can see maybe one idiot, but fire panics people and they would have naturally just moved and let the herd of cars through. Because in real time I doubt the cops would even have time to think about it. It's an almost automatic reaction...unless, they alphabet agencies dressed to look like Police?

OR did they just block the road with a barricade and leave? Where were the cops actually at while this was going on? Just because it is police barricade does not mean the police actually put it there.

Will be interesting to see how this turns out.

The “cops” ( ? ) were there. Making people turn back around. They sent people back into where the fire was coming. They died in their cars because of the road blocked by police.

The video above was not up long. He got it out via a satellite internet setup in the pickup truck of the guy he was with. If you seen it … you would see things didn’t make sense with the fire. Anomalies they called it.

I’ve watched the guy who posted that video many times. He’s a realtor on Maui and video’s are on the internet of places he’s selling. Someone must have threatened him. Thus he pulled it … or someone else did

I don’t know if we will ever find out. It's funny though when you Google Earth and observe what did and did not burn. I kept hearing about Safeway when people were driving in circles. It’s a huge facility and did not burn as well as other places around it. That and the boat ramp on the other side of it would have been the place to go and hunker down. Of course having your MIRA mask and appropriate filter would really have paid off. But still, the whole thing stinks.
Gives a lot of food for thought about prepping here... :kaid: :shk:

No guns allowed in Hawaii.

May well have been in other jurisdictions but Hawaii is pretty well disarmed, courtesy decades of anti-2A state & County govts.
I'll just bet the people do have other alternatives at hand, very hard woods that when worked are almost as good bangstix just a little more work close at hand. of course spear guns etc work out of water too. Crack them head, stick an arrow inna good place, spear them inna ear to the other side so they F'n hear better. This sick F**kn game they are playing with our lives is gonna keep gettin shorter until it stops. At this point I'm very tired of the unconscionable and wanton waste of life and am tempted. Just do not want to be the only.

Some years ago we had a fire, arson, come up over a hill and rush down the mountain at 60 plus mile's an hour into the neighborhood above ours. People left with only clothes on their back. 2 people died, an elderly couple. Some of the people evacuating ran into a barrier in the road and fence on either side. They just took down the barrier and some ran down the fence to escape. My husband and I evacuated an hour or more later and were stuck in a long, long line of traffic. My friend came over to help me grab some stuff to evacuate and left in a different direction then we did. We both talked about wondering if we would be burned in our cars trying to get out. It is scary. There were large embers coming down aroud our house when we left and a house on fire less then a quarter mile from us. No I would not have turned back into the fire for any reason, cops or no cops.
Those in Hawaii probably did not realize they would be trapped or which direction the fire was coming from. It is criminal what happened there.

I was telling my housemate a few minutes ago how, during the Oakland Hills firestorm, people were calling 9/11, and if they were handicapped or elderly, they were told to wait in place at home for rescue (they died). Also, the Hills around Berkeley and Oakland may be technically part of two cities, but they are all one place geographically. Both Police Departments had new radio systems that could not talk to each other.

I suspect some (not all) of the loss of life in Hawaii was from communications failures and the fire responders (including the cops) being told the wrong information. Having been in one firestorm, they'd have to shoot me before I would intentionally run back inside of one, but people don't always think clearly in emergencies, and many are trained to do what the first responder tells them to do.

As it was, many people in the shop we were in kind of froze and didn't move while I got our household to race to the car and start down the hill when the lights started to go on and off. Thankfully, that store didn't burn anyway, but it was in the initial path of the fire, and you never know precisely where a firestorm will go.
