SCAM Walmart pricing errors

For the last 6 weeks, the price ringing up was not as cheap as the shell tag.

So today while still wearing out the front end assistance, I noted the numbers

Items purchased 14
Items corrected by employee by request 5

She didn’t even ask for pictures or question it

I noticed at Walmart that shelf prices don't always match what is charged by the computer which is why I always use the self checkout to make sure the price is right. Also, check on line beforehand as prices online are sometimes cheaper than the store i.e. clearance. You just take a picture and show the clerk. I was able to buy an item for 59 cents online vs. the $3.59 price in store.

... egg prices ($7.50 for 18!!) ...

Geez, are they gold-plated and individually hand-delivered from Kazakhstan?! About 12 days ago I bought a dozen eggs for $1.86!

As to shelf prices vs. checkout prices, especially at Wal-Mart, it's not a new thing. I think this has been discussed on the forum before.

And longer term it will kill walmart. Especially if someone from the ftc and other agencies start investigating them for deceptive trade practices...

I got a great deal on my new laptop at Walmart yesterday. The price listed on the counter display model was $299.00. When the associate returned from getting the laptop from the back and rang it up at the electronics register, the price on the register was $109.88. The associate just looked at me and then she said, "this can't be right .... the hell with it, happy new year"
