We bought one years ago, but have not used it. I am not sure if the one we have uses propane, but did say wood or charcoal. Did not cost that much then.

Could always do a web search to see if there is a better price out there. I bought one years ago, but not with the propane attachment. Need to get that yet, but thought it a good product to have on hand, jic. Never have used it, but thought it a great way to take advantage of Dutch oven cooking.

Joan,

From what you have said, you probably have the Volcano I, which is around 80 dollars. It doesn't come with the propane setup, but is still a good unit.

We priced it at 149.99 to stay competitive with free shipping. It weighs over 23 lbs, and costs a ton to ship.

Heavy little bugger, probably well made, but I agree, the price, ouch. A tad rich for my blood, but the unit without the propane attachment is $109.95 at the volcano web site though I doubt it's got free shipping. Not sure if theburkeyguy's got free shipping on that model too, maybe he'll post his info.

We currently carry the propane version, which is 149.99, shipping included in the USA, 48 states only. If the version without the propane attachment is needed, please let me know via PM, and I will see what I can do.
