I don't have an account with them. I didn't see this posted anywhere here. Anyway, a New Year's Eve hack is going to impact a lot of veterans who are the primary customers of USAA.

SAA Hacked Everyone’s Debit And Credit Cards Deleted!

In todays video I talk about USAA Getting Hacked, All consumer credit and debit cards have essentially been compromised. If you’re stranded at a airport or gas station and you’ve googled this issue now you know, USAA stated on the phone with me they are drastically working on a solution. If you have Apple Pay or google pay they stated the cancelled cards could be updated remotely in those apps. But it looks like we as USAA customers have to all get new cards. This is unacceptable and for me it’s the last straw as I’ll be leaving USAA as a customer. If you’re experiencing this issue comment below.

Okay in my research I found that this story is linked to a SashaFaal banned site, What does it mean, and also to Godlike productions which is banned

The Youtube page looks legit, but I went to zero hedge and got no story,. I will keep looking but be advised this "may" be a scam.

I will keep digging.

It looks like the two banned timebomb web sites picked up the story faster than the whore mainstream media did.

so one youtube guy who seems legit, plus the site quoted above also seems legit.

I will keep looking to get more verification, although two credible websites balances out Sashababy and godlike productions, which if you read them, well they ain't godlike, :poop:

Just checked my USAA account and there's a notice about debit card service being unavailable due to maintenance. Not that I need it tonight, but it's why I have a couple accounts at credit unions so that I (theoretically) always have access to some money, even if one is down or unavailable.

Of course, maybe we could get Alfaman to go out and try his USAA card, hopefully he won't get thrown into debtor's prison!

As I understand it, the bank is fine. The issue is access to your debit and credit cards is having issues again ON NEW YEAR'S EVE. so yeah the chart show a fairly large jump on the "I can't access my credit or debit card on New Year's Eve" numbers of customers.

They, not me, used the term "hacked." Sounds like the kind of thing Xi the Merciless would do on New Year's Eve to a bank heavily used by military veterans.

I just checked my bank account and it is fine, since I changed my user name twice this year, and and my password THREE times due to THREE global hacks, plus google made me go to the two step verification.

I just hope nobody's New Year's Eve is ruined by not being able to use their credit card tonight.

Unrelated to USAA, but I went to check my AMEX account just now and it's currently unavailable (can't even log in). "Our system is not responding. Please try again later"

I did the same thing, banking seems fine. The only time we use the debit card is to withdraw money out of the account, we stopped using the debit card for shopping ages ago. We only use the credit card for auto billing. Fortunately, we also have other accounts with local banks, just in case.

Still, even hearing about it is a bit of a nightmare....kinda waiting for something else to go wrong now.

My USAA account is fine, although I did change my PIN and password just to be safe.

Not that I was going to use my card tonight... this oldster is going to bed early!

Friend was told his card was hacked and new card being issued. Dear friend paid for decades on usaa home owners policy only to have them deny coverage when pipe broke in wall.

Debit card maintenance services are unavailable, including through our call center representatives. We are working to address this issue.

I had car insurance with them for years and they were great but then a few years ago they started jacking up my rates and premiums for no reason to the point I was paying almost 3x what progressive quoted me. They wouldn’t lower my rate or match progressive so I switched. Probably never use them again.

Auto insurance was down yesterday. Signed in okay then pages went crazy. Needed to print new insurance cards and the page wouldn't let me into my account. Didn't try today, will wait until Monday to see if they've fixed issues.

Doug, USAA's web site says they are having issues but doesn't tell what or why. Figured some here would know more if it was actual a hack. Thanks LY

Wife used her USAA credit card for groceries today and I did an on-line purchase without difficulty this morning. We can access our accounts through the app. All is good. Actually it was yesterday as we just celebrated ringing in the new year.

We have been with USAA since 1984. I'm not going to jump ship because they had a problem. I've left other banks for much more egregious stunts. Have a bit of patience and let USAA have an opportunity to correct the problem.

Also, as preppers, it is ridiculous not to have cash and an alternative disaster card available.
