Tomorrow morning, Hermione goes to the vet for surgery. She's going to have three growths removed, and her teeth and ears cleaned. I drop her off at about 7:30 a.m. Any positive energy or prayers you might feel motivated to send her way would be most appreciated. She turns 12 in July, so being under anesthesia will be very hard on her.

Thanks

DEPLORABLE ME
Will pray for her well being!

I just got an estimate for teeth cleaning for my 6 pound chihuahua- $400 to $600. I about had a heart attack.

Had growths removed from my Furby a couple of months back and some teeth pulled plus a cleaning. He just turned 9 today but still acts like a puppy. Positive Thoughts and prayers for Hermione.

Hi Dennis,

Will definitely say prayers for Hermione for her procedures tomorrow.

Know you'll be on pins and needles until you know she's awake, all went smoothly and she's in recovery.

I've always asked the vet office to call me when my dog is in recovery mode - then I can breathe again.

She'll be so glad to get back home and you'll be so glad to have her back home.

Prayers for her vet to do an excellent job.

Prayers for Hermione - to feel peace and to not be anxious.

I'm sure you'll be giving her lots of love before and after the vet visit - she's very precious.

Sending prayers and kind thoughts for both of you!

Getting those teeth cleaned will be hugely beneficial to her health in general! We've done dentals and tumor removal in many dogs her age with no problems at all!
Prayers to you both.... she'll be just fine!
(Just be sure to keep a close eye on her during recovery, no getting wet/baths, watch her eating and drinking, as well as overall attitude!)

MARANTHA!! Even so, come LORD JESUS!!!
Dear God, Please place Your hand on Hermione and watch over her. Please be with Dennis as he awaits the time when she will be back with him and give them both strength and your comfort though out this. Because we here care so much for Dennis Lord, be with him and comfort him. And have Hermione give him a BIG SLOBBERY KISS when she comes out from the anesthetic and may she be her old self and feel good again!!

After she's completely slept off the anasthethia, I hope she's all better, Dennis... no more troubles from these things. You're taking care of her the best you know how; she knows that.

Thought of you and your dogs this week, when I met my retired neighbor - another white hair like me, LOL; tiny little woman - with her two big gorgeous shepherds. I need to get my work done around here and get some bit of fence up so I can start looking for a dog.

She'll do well. Sounds like a strong dog.

I never cleaned my dog's teeth. As a result, after twenty years she had developed a sometimes smelly mouth from tartar buildup. Then it became all the time. That in turn developed into a nasal infection and mucus problems for her. She's too old to be put under to clean her teeth, the vet says don't do it, she might die. I tried prescribed antibiotic courses to bring relief to the mucus problem. It worked like a charm for a while but symptoms returned as expected after the medication ended. I felt continuing again and again would not be a good idea on her system.
Then I came up with the idea to place some higher quality silver colloid into her daily water. The theory was that the silver would remain in her mouth for a time after drinking and kill off some of the bacteria causing the infection. Well, it worked! Mucus production dropped. The infection is NOT entirely gone, but greatly reduced and really, really improved her quality of life.
I told my vet and he asked "What's colloidal silver?". He was not interested in the least. I kind of expected that anyway. That's OK.
I hope this helps others with dogs suffering from mouth rot. It does not cure, but it does treat. I use Meso Silver from Purest Colloids. I experimented with the amount to administer at first and adjust for symptom control. I use a small ceramic dish, not metal. My dog is less than 20 pounds. About half a dropper to 16OZ Berkey filtered water in her dish.
