NEW: Three girls charged with beating and killing 64-year-old disabled man Reggie Brown in Washington D.C.

The girls are 12 and 13 years old.

Video shows the girls beating and stomping on Brown’s head.

It gets even more disturbing. According to investigators, the girls celebrated after the murder as they ran away.

They were reportedly in a “celebratory mood.”

The 12-year-old and the 13-year-olds were charged with second-degree murder.

The 12-year old girl linked to the murder was shot on Friday in her apartment. She was hit in the leg and sent to the hospital.

A neighbor said they heard a bang and saw two kids jump from a window and run down the alley.

It’s unclear why she was shot.

RIP, Reggie.

Folks, this attack happened last OCTOBER. The niglet animal that got shot last night in NW DC prompted the reporting of this story. Which begs the question. Was the 64 year old's life less important or less newsworthy than his killer being shot?
I don't remember hearing anything about this attack until the shooting of the 12 year old last night.

Victim's family 'shocked' after teen girls charged with murder in DC

And if you have a second, please say a prayer. Countrymouse's son uses the Georgia avenue metro station to take the subway sometimes. Not sure exactly where the murder took place but still a little too close to home and a loved one.

Family speaks out after 3 teen girls charged with murdering 64-year-old
Reggie Brown’s family told FOX 5's Shomari Stone he was a kind man who cared about people and would give you the shirt off his back. They can’t understand why someone would kill him.

FOX 5 EXCLUSIVE - Reggie Brown’s family told FOX 5's Shomari Stone he was a kind man who cared about people and would give you the shirt off his back.

They can’t understand why someone would kill him.

His relatives still have mixed emotions.

They’re relieved D.C. police arrested the three teenage girls who are accused of beating him to death on Georgia Avenue last October around 1 o'clock in the morning.

But they’re also shocked that the suspects are teenagers.

The medical examiner says the 64-year-old died from blunt force trauma.

But his family is also surprised to find out that one of the girls, the 12-year-old, was shot in a separate incident Friday morning.

"He was just a quiet, nice polite person. He didn’t bother anybody. That’s the type of person he was," a close family friend told FOX 5's Shomari Stone exclusively.

The family friend said they were "shocked" when they found out teenage girls were involved.

"[I'm] glad they got them," they said.

A relative of the 12-year-old girl accused of killing Brown told FOX 5 that someone shot her inside an apartment on the 500 block of Peabody Street NW Friday morning.

She is expected to survive.

The apartment is located about four blocks away from where Brown was murdered.

The 12-year-old's relative told FOX 5 they're "devastated."

"She going to come through. It’s just a lot going on right now," they said. "This happened around three in the morning. I ain’t even get no sleep."

The last sentence is verbatim from the interview of said relative. Ain't it great to know her 12 year old relative has taken life, and the bitch says there's 'a lot going on" and "I ain't even get no sleep" ? And probably has a room temperature IQ and ability to form sentences at a 4 year old level?

No. DC is a federal law jurisdiction. She will spend time in some form of DC detention (probably home arrest with an ankle bracelet) and once she's served her time no more time. No adult prison in my estimation.

If you wanted to commit a crime with little to no consequences, DC IS the place to do it.

So sad that this story would never have seen the light of day unless the murderer got shot in the leg six months later.
